Dude - Thank you so much. This video helped me fix my wife's car. Took me around 1 hour all up. Was easier than I expected. But would never have worked it out on my own. Thanks Legend.
You are welcome
My window regulator broke on my Audi A3 Sportback 3.2 -05. This video helped me, thank you!
Many thanks. Compared to a BMW this is quite different and I would have been lost without this video.
Great to hear!
Thanks for this video, it helped a lot. The complete job took about 1h to replace the broken regulator and reassemble everything. It is weird most people have issues with the rear left window, just like I did.
i know right...i see that. LOL
My rear left is broken. I wonder if its cause at night or day and I'm pressing buttons while driving im constantly accidently open closing rear window when I'm supposed to be doing front window . Then of course u leave finger on button cause u can't see the front window open :)
Thanks for this video! I replaced a window reg ina MK4 golf and it was a totally different process. I would have been guessing for ages without this!
Thanks for the video man. Great to see such a detailed video too. I'd recommend to anyone to clean the window seals with soapy water and then when dry soak the seals inside and out with silicone spray as it will remove a lot of the resistance which causes the windows to operate slowly. Making them work like new and save you having wires snapping under stress.
Thanks budy! Very halpful movie. Lift changed was easy and fast.
Thank you
Thanks!
You are welcome and thanks for the support chat
Excellent video. Thank you so much. You saved me a ton of time. Would never figured this out without your video.
Thank you! I would have been searching around for all those bolts without this! Great job!
Glad I could help
Great video! I can see everything perfect good lighting and kept it quick and simple.
Thank you man very helpful
No problem!
This video helped out a lot, my left rear window regulator just went out yesterday, got it done today 👌
Glad it helped..awesome. That was my goal..you made my day sir. Thanks.
how do you know if its the regulator or the motor failing? thx
@@arturoromomartinez8777 Most of the time you can hear the motor, so if you don't hear the motor, most likely it's the motor, or a bad switch. With a regulator there's small cables that move the window up and down on a platform where the window sits inside the door, the cables could get out of their alignment and start to twist and crumble inside the door and it's very audible, plus the window wont go up or down or it'll just get stuck, that would be the regulator.
@@Sauce.714 Great feedback! Now I know is the regulator, they're actually not too costy. Thanks again 👍
Also, is it necessary to remove that trim strip? My door had no bolt underneath. Only under switch trim and tweeter grill trim.
Yes there's a torx bolt in there hidden
Thank you so much for this, I followed your guide and it worked a treat!
Awesome
Can you make a video on how to replace the window trim?
Great video man, very helpful. I'm gonna try do it myself lol see how it goes. question, where did you get the new regulator from?
thanks, keep up the good work.
Hey what up...i got it from Rockauto.com best place for parts if your not in a hurry.
Thanks man
Did you have to remove the speaker? Or did you just do it for more room to work with? Thanks again this video is really helpful
No you don't have to...I did just to see more.. plus other videos weren't clear if you did or not... so yes I took off more than I should. Thanks for asking. Even that plastic piece i took off doesn't really have to come out, never done one. Lol 😆. It helps so you can line up the track bolt 🔩. But I just used top of window to line it up and screw in bolt.
Great video. I recently replaced the regulator in my A3. When I tested the automatic open/close the window opened fully but the motor didn't stop turning and it busted my new regulator :( Any idea why that would be?
Considering replacing the motor with the regulator next
Cant say for sure, but it could be the comfort control module that controls the auto stop.
Hey brother… I have an Audi 2006 A3 quattro with the same rear window problem. How do I know if it’s the regulator or the window motor?
If it was the motor, you get nothing. No sound or movement. Regulator, window will slip or not do anything and you will hear the motor running.
Where do you recommend I buy the part from?
how long did It take for you to do this job
Job took about 30-40 min or so
THANKS
Thanks brother
Gonna give it a go later today. Only thing is my window is broken inside the door😬
Good luck its not too hard.
@@BobbysBackyardAutoworks cheers Mate all done thanks to your help 👍
Awesome!!
Hey guys! Got myself in a little strange situation: on my a3 8p 2005, on the rear doors lights aren't working and windows do not light up or work, yesterday they were fine , today they are not. Any ideas?
There is a module inside the door panel. That controls the window...lights..locks. It might of went bad
Hope this helps
Dayum I hope I don't have to do all that.....
Windows are working good turned off the car turned it back on nothing all fuses good idk 🤷🏽♂️
