  • Pioneer is an intermediate ski trail located at Breckenridge Ski Resort. The trail runs from the Pioneer Crossing Lodge and the summit of the Independence and Freedom SuperChairs down to the Peak 7 Base Area and the bottom of the Independence SuperChair. The trail begins to the slight skier's right of the top of the chairlifts, beginning with a mellow pitch with multiple trees scattered through the middle of the trail. The run eventually enters into a series of two short but steep intermediate pitches, with a flat section in between as it begins to run underneath the Independence SuperChair, continuing down the mountain before reaching the bottom of the lift at the Peak 7 Base Area.
