This lift does not slow down during loading, snowboarders beware! Oldschool for sure! Great beginner tree skiing of this.

@ 6:10 is where i was when i heard the emergency brakes on the bullwheel activate. I said "That's not good" and we sat for 30 min until the staff and patrol put a 44 foot ladder up to our chair with a big hook that went over the seat. We had to throw our skiis down and climb down the ladder. The lift was broke for the next few days, but i was honestly thrilled to be part of a chairlift rescue, first time in 45 years of skiing lol. I think it was 2018?

Built the same year as Silver at Nakiska. Yet Silver somehow feels more modern. Both are classic detachables nonetheless.

For such a new lift, it rattles quite a bit and there’s a lot of shaking. Also, tower 15 is a lot taller than it needs to be.

Wow! An old Yan chairlift! I really like the design of those old Yan chairlifts! I'm happy to see that there are a few of them still in service, not ready to retire just yet. I also really like the retro look of those Yan towers, too. It's a real shame that they had inferior grips, because those accidents that sadly happened, shouldn't have happened. It also bankrupted Yan, too. Of course, no chairlift is 100% safe, either.

These are fantastic! Thank you so much. I am second year skier and Snowbasin is my home mountain (I live in Ogden). Is there any chance you might be able to post a video of an Eas-A-Long to Bear Hollow to Snowshoe Run? That would require the use of the Wildcat Express lift. I am looking to move on from Littlecat, and the above is a run I hope to do, in addition to the one posted on this video. The only difference being instead of continuing down School Hill, I will turn right off Bear Hollow onto Snowshoe. Being able to see it in advance would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!

Is this blue trail leaning to easier or more challenging side? I'm comfortable sledding down green trail, but somehow not confident enough to start blue. Will this be a good trail to try it first time?

Okemo is top rate, best jn the area. I moved to the area and built a home in 2000. I have learned a lot about the area in that time. UPDATE:. Traveling 91 N or S? Avoid Chester speed traps. 30 in a 25 zone! Exit 8 is direct route. See below or google maps. Like all states where the tourism industry is a major part of the economy, there are ways the state will put a thumb on the scale, to help business. The 91 signs do not point you to the best route but rather to a tourist, speed trap called Chester on 103. Get closer off 91 at exit 8 Ascutney, Windsor. Take 131W to 103N. Why go South when Okemo is North. To go to Vermont country store? Where you turn niknaks over and they say made in China. Don't miss the Ludlow historic mansion on Castle hill. Castle resort and spa. Incredible rooms with a fireplace. A restaurant. A spa. $$ After the railroad tracks, look up on the right. A visit and tour is always welcomed. The menu is full of the best in Vermont fresh from the farm. Rack of lamb is my favorite. Service is first rate. If you're lookin for pub food, check out Tom's loft food and spirits. Great pub food. Locals favorite no tourist prices. At the base of Okemo mountain. Okemo mountain is not the biggest but the overall experience, conditions, amenities are better than many. I certainly can't think of what they are missing.

This lift has been running incredibly slow lately. The first time I went to Snowshoe was about 10 years ago, and it ran close to full speed. Three years ago, when I recorded it, it ran at 800 fpm. It’s a bummer seeing this lift run this slow as it’s the biggest chokepoint on the mountain.
