I work as a forensic psych nurse in a state hospital. A dark secular place of hopelessness full of broken people. I would dream of getting out of there and working in a more comfortable environment. I came to realize this was where God had placed me and if I suffer in this work it is for His glory. Now I can’t imagine working anywhere else.
A beautiful and powerful story! My father's dementia accelerated quickly and for a couple of weeks he was in a place ( McClean's in Belmont, Ma. )probably similar to your workplace. My Goodness, I honestly didn't look forward to visiting, but I tried to go everyday. Darkness and hopelessness beyond imagination. I noticed a fella working there, not with a happy face. Not even close. But he did his brutal job and did it well. I wanted to talk the young man. Inside my heart was just pouring out for this young man. He looked to be in a living hell. My mind convinced me that I would certainly have failed at a similar job. I couldn't imagine what made this guy(although I knew he had to have had tremendous compassion,) have so much compassion.to do this incredibly important but what appeared, horrifying job. I'll never forget that young man. Your story just explained it all to me. Wow. Your life's struggle has shown me. I've got some decisions to make. Important ones. . I have to echo a comment above. I met Alice years ago while I worked at a restaurant in Cabazon California. We had a convoy of Marines in there at the time he was there....once they seen him while he was leaving the restaurant, he shook hands and took pictures. He was SO incredibly nice. My Brother in law has seen him at a Golf course in Phoenix several times in the past few years, he said Alice is Awesome. Alice is Awesome!

I remember seeing Alice Cooper in concert some years ago. He had a song called "Vengeance is Mine" that he did during the concert. He prefaced it by asking "Who here wants revenge?" When the crowd roared in response, he yelled, "REPENT!" It was awesome! It is so cool to see how God is using him to reach people for Christ.
In the mid-70's when I was in Middle School, my FAVE SONG of his was "I Never Cry" because it was so heartfelt and soft... completely different than "THE USUAL" I listened to it over & over again. I became a Christian in 1980 and I heard a while back je was following Jesus now...PRAISE GOD!! I work as a forensic psych nurse in a state hospital. A dark secular place of hopelessness full of broken people. I would dream of getting out of there and working in a more comfortable environment. I came to realize this was where God had placed me and if I suffer in this work it is for His glory. Now I can’t imagine working anywhere else.

I noticed a fella working there, not with a happy face. Not even close. But he did his brutal job and did it well. I wanted to talk the young man. Inside my heart was just pouring out for this young man. He looked to be in a living hell. My mind convinced me that I would certainly have failed at a similar job. I couldn't imagine what made this guy(although I knew he had to have had tremendous compassion,) have so much compassion.to do this incredibly important but what appeared, horrifying job.
I'll never forget that young man. Your story just explained it all to me. Wow. Your life's struggle has shown me. I've got some decisions to make. Important ones. .

I met Alice years ago while I worked at a restaurant in Cabazon California. We had a convoy of Marines in there at the time he was there....once they seen him while he was leaving the restaurant, he shook hands and took pictures. He was SO incredibly nice.
My Brother in law has seen him at a Golf course in Phoenix several times in the past few years, he said Alice is Awesome. Alice is Awesome!

I remember seeing Alice Cooper in concert some years ago. He had a song called "Vengeance is Mine" that he did during the concert. He prefaced it by asking "Who here wants revenge?" When the crowd roared in response, he yelled, "REPENT!" It was awesome! It is so cool to see how God is using him to reach people for Christ.
In the mid-70's when I was in Middle School, my FAVE SONG of his was "I Never Cry" because it was so heartfelt and soft...
completely different than "THE USUAL" I listened to it over & over again. I became a Christian in 1980 and I heard a while back je was following Jesus now...PRAISE GOD!! I HOPE HE FOES THE SAME FOR MY SON, who was raised in church but is now the front man in a Death Rock band....PLEASE PRAY THAT HOLY SPIRIT WILL BRING HIM BACK TO THE TRUTH AND USE HIM FOR GODS GLORY!
