- Want to see what Kajabi's new community product looks like from the inside? When a brand new feature drops, sometimes it's tricky to know how to best set it up and importantly, what it's like from the customer's perspective.
I did a full walkthrough of my test community product this week, for our Unicorn Heroes members, so you can see each part of community in action. I show the limitations (and what I hope will change) and give you the best ideas on how to set it up + more.
If you're confused by access groups, circles, feed vs chat, what your members can and can't see etc, watch this for deeper insight.
The new vibely community product is a HUGE improvement over Kajabi's previous community product and this will finally enable a lot of Kajabi users to get away from Facebook Groups and other platforms that keep you locked in (AND you won't need your members to have two logins!)

In its current iteration, the new community is a massive step back. There are so many basic features missing, like the ability to pin/sticky a post, post a poll or questionnaire (outside of the chat), or add basic formatting (bold/italic). You can't order your circles, they just sort automatically by last activity. The landing page defaults to "Challenges." Don't run challenges? Your members will still land there. Have a custom URL? Your community won't use it. Use a custom email domain? Community emails will still come from Kajabi. And they'll bombard your members unless they turn them off manually (no option to turn them off by default). Want to manage or edit your member list? No such tool. If you delete a member from the Kajabi side, they'll stay in your community as a dead profile. The list goes on. Hopeful for the future, but we're off to a very rough start!
Yeah I completely agree with all of those things - I don't love the emails that people do get bombarded with either - there is barely the first sentence so it's hard to know whether it is worth clicking. I have noticed consistent improvements to community since the launch, so I am still holding out hope these things will be sorted as time goes on :)

sure thing Malia, please send an email to hello @ theunicornadvisory.com and I can add you to the testing area. It does look pretty similar from the student perspective which is great, but it's nice to see all the emails and things that go out, so you know what your students will get :)
I think this is a great start and has huge potential and I'm going to use it and learn as I go however... There are some bizarre misses and it is really badly documented. So much so, in fact, that even Kajabi Support don't know stuff.
Have you even worked out how to oder the Circles inside an Access Group? I have tried but it seems to order them based on when you create them. Do you know how to change them? Be great if you do as I am struggling with this most basic of things!!!
Hey Gavin, yeah there are a few things not quite there yet, I am hoping as things progress - especially now all Kajabi users have access, it will continue to improve. I have not found any way to order circles - which is frustrating, as often you want to move them around and won't have perfect architecture of your community when you first create it! Hopefully that will be introduced soon!
why on PC desktop all (many browsers) have no scroll bars? I have to click either in the left sidebar or the main area and use arrow keys. I have researched chrome settings and windows settings with no luck. I am in three vibely/kajabi communities and they are all the same.

Kajabi Communities is getting better every month, they are constantly shipping updates and improvements which I really like!
I am still struggling with the Community. Have set one up but it's not how I'd want and there is so little on people using them successful (or at all!). The one thing that would hook me in is the Challenges but I can't work out even how to create a challenge that runs multiple days i.e. a 5 day challenge. Not clear at all!
Yeah I've not moved to Kajabi Communities yet as I'm still hoping it will further improve. The multiple day challenges need to be signed up to on each day (they are basically 5 single day challenges grouped together) so I don't love that, but I'm optimistic that I will be able to use Kajabi Communities soon, as I'm seeing constant updates and improvements.
