- Hi guys, just a quick upload as I picked up my new car this week. Will be doing a more in depth review in the coming weeks as I get to grips with this fantastic motor.
Having recently sold my VW Golf R, I will be able to share my thoughts and comparisons on these two phenomenal hot hatches.

Jonny Justice the car is very twitchy in the wet and badly needs a diff. Will get one in the future but right now my house needs bits. Love the noise and urgency it has over my mapped S1
As a 140 owner, I'm not really a fan of all that black. But an epic car
Congratulations! and yes, there is some fake engine noise that you can turn off with an OBD plug and one of the BimmerCode/Carly/etc apps if gets too annoying - BMW calls it ASD/Active Sound Design

Hi, are you pleased with your m140i with the particulate filter? Do you think the exhaust note is still good, and how does it perform? How does it compare to the older non particulate filter model?

Adam nice one! They are going to be a pain to keep clean I sense, but Sapphire Black is a lovely colour in the flesh. Have you got a decent spec too?
Jonny Justice I’m having a 3 stage ceramic coating when it’s delivered to help keep it clean , spec is pro nav , adaptive suspension , top band windscreen tint , front and rear parking sensors , folding mirrrors , heated front seats and cognac leather

I feel the problem with the golf r is that it seems to do everything to well if that makes sense
