    Looks amazing as always in you're work. Can't wait to see more. How much dose it weigh fully loaded?? And have you seen tiger's with one less front road wheel missing first outer next to drive wheel I've seen some pictures of old pz5 from the battle of prokhorovka , ?? the battle after kirsk a few are like this was wondering if you knowledge on this matter for instance tiger 217 of heavy 502nd it (otto) has two front missing wheels and it's a early version I think cause steel road wheels ate not present cause I'm making a model and you're knowledge I've always enjoyed thanks so much and happy holidays to you and your family.

      The model comes in at around 350 pounds. As for the wheels, yes some tigers had the first road wheel removed. This was done in field as a connivence. On the early pattern tigers when the first wheel is on you can't easily get access to the sprockets, Since the tank will run perfectly fine with the wheel absent many crews would omit the wheel for this purpose.
      When the steel wheels were developed the number of wheels were decreased from the early pattern, and this is why this was no longer an issue.

      I can't say for the elephant but the King tiger is much heavier. My Armortek one weighs about 400lbs.

    You should make more videos on military vehicles also Do You have any rc battleships?

    • @oddball759mm

      Literally my whole channel is devoted to videos on military vehicles bro. As for RC ships I'm around them all the time in my shop as my father builds ships static and RC from time to time... but it's not my main area of focus for videos on this channel.

    Hi John had a question when they transported pz6 tiger 1 on railways i know they removed some road wheels and changed tracks do you know what style of tracks were used in this manner cause remember when I asked about the missing front road wheels next to the drive sprocket I'm just wondering if you know or have ever done one on transport mode cause I'm trying to do my build of a diroma tiger 1 i got 4 wheels off side fenders off and from and rear flaps folded up but the tracks are where is I am stumped I was wondering if you can assist in this matter.
    And 400lbs king tiger do you have a custom trailer lol ,Is it on one of you're builds I can look up and is it the H,or P turret?

    • @oddball759mm
      @oddball759mm  6 років тому +1

      As you know for rail transport the tank would be fitted with "transport" tracks. These tracks are much thinner than the standard battle tracks as for their names all I have ever seen them referenced as is transport tracks. As for making one in this mode, no the only tigers I have ever built were in standard configuration. As for tracks for your build if you are building the tank in 1/35 there are a few options, AFV club made them in one piece rubber, and in workable link. Fruli and spade ace also made them in workable link in metal. A quick google search will yield some good results.
      If your looking for something larger then 1/35 then your not going to find anything, as tigers are not commonly made in transport mode for the larger scales.
      As for the KT, my lift table is really the only piece of heavy equipment I need to maneuver the model around the shop, As for where to find it There are pics of it one the ECA website, eastcoastarmory.com/kingtiger.htm and there are several videos of this build on the channel, they should be in a playlist and if you type in "king tiger" in my channel search they should all pop up.

    Hello.
    very good build modell.
    But the track on the left side is too tight.
    in original she lies from the 3. to the 7. roadweel over all weels between 3 and 7.
    The original Track would have 96 links on both sides. Also from 3 to 7.
    Because I don't know how exactly Armortec replicated ... It could be that it only works like this with your model, as shown
    And sorry please for my english. German school-english many years ago.

      you need to have the tension the way you see it because from what I have seen this gives you the best reliability. If it was more loose the sprocket has a better chance to throw when doing turns and going off road

    Relly good job!
    But, there shud not be dunkel rot/ dark red but it shud be more choklet brown.

    • @oddball759mm
      @oddball759mm  6 років тому +1

      I disagree. The color I use is mixed off the WWII German color pallet. Also keep in mind that this model is weathered. When it's first applied the color is slightly different. If you see the pics of the cammo when first applied one the ECA facebook page you will see what I mean.

    • @raseli4066

      oddball759mm the germans used 2 cind of camoflage. They switched to the dark red in 1944 and the e was in use in 1943. But it was in the east so it cud have Only had the green Camo. And of it surviced until 44 it cud have gotten the dark red. And that gives the tank even more personaleyt. BUT MY POINT STILL STANDS! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND THEY HAVE HELPED ME ALOT!

    • @oddball759mm
      @oddball759mm  6 років тому

      The germans did have brown in 43 and earlier. There are examples of tanks with Panzer grey base coats with brown camo over.

      In fact the color itself is much older as the Germans used this same or at least similar color in WWI. This can be seen on the cammo which was used on the A7V totenkopf, Artillery pieces and Trench raider helmets
