Even though most of the soundtrack isn't the iconic sound that Stewart Copeland had, it's still really good in it's own right, especially the crocovile swamp.
I'm sure the sample at 3:02 is the same one used on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here"! Similarly, the flutes in that same section have a very Enigma-esque sound to them, even down to the sequence of some of the individual notes sounding exactly the same as they do in Enigma's work.
If he does, he should get in touch with the UA-camr Ebbe. He's been analyzing the game and its prototypes just like Mr. F01 has been doing with Enter the Dragonfly.
I played A Hero's Tail on the Gamecube. For some reason I could never figure out the controls and I don't remember why, but this game did have an awesome soundtrack.
I love Sunken Ruins soundtrack, one of the best in AHT in my opinion! Edit: the unused track 2 harmonica sounds remind me of Honey marsh swamp from ETD!
Heart of Africa has been used in a lot of games such as Sonic Adventure and Starfox Adventures. The Berber yell was used in the Mystic Ruins adventure field. I guess it's just the go-to album for "exotic" vocals.
I don’t believe there’s any info on them beyond some being early demos & unused tracks. They were posted here by one of the composers - m.soundcloud.com/paullawler/early-unreleased-demos-for-spyro-a-heros-tail
I gotta say, for all its quirks I honestly think EtD was the better game. HT was kinda just a wannabe Jak and Daxter, and you can definitely tell that heavily inspired this game.
Best part of AHT is the secret ending. *SPOILERS* It's the dragon elders watching the credits and complaining about their voice actors. The kicker is that they're all voiced by Jess Harnell.

I love how a lot of the samples were also used in Enter the Dragonfly. :)

0:33 Me and my sister both quit this game because the spiders were too creepy and gave us anxiety.
We later mustered the courage to finish the game.
I was not expecting unheard/unreleased Spyro 4 OST. All i thought we got were the ones from the demo!
The Khrome logo that was on the TY console ports used D 108 113 at the end.
A hero's Tail has an underrated soundtrack.
Yes, this is awesome! I would love to see more content from A Hero’s Tail!! It was the Spyro game I played THE most next to ETD.
Would you ever consider doing a documentary on A Hero's Tail?
I did plan to in the past, might in the future if there is enough demand.
@@MrFO1 I would love to see that! But I love most Spyro stuff lol!

2:58 I heard these chants in the Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies intro.

I Can't Believe It's Not Ebbe
4:27 Honey Marsh?
Correct! & the sample at 4:44 is used in Honey Marsh’s Honey Slide.
THANK YOU. ive wanted to always know where the samples from Crocovile swamp came from.
3:03 I'm A Doodle Doer Get Me Out Of There
1:45 - 5:14 I feel like watching Serengeti.
The Music to this game doesn't feel like Spyro tbh but the samples are interesting to know about.

First time I've heard of the unused tracks in AHT. Any idea where they were supposed to be used?
