after watching some videos about the production, a lot of these oddities seem like someone saying "oh, what would it look like if you did this" or "what if you pulled this here" and that kind of thing, leading to weird placements, strange sound issues and all that. The game itself feels like it doesnt take place in spyro's realm, but I would still love to see a remaster. It's such a charming tone and setting. I wonder if anyone would do it on their own like the guy that remade Sonic '06. It's amazing how many things you're still finding!
Funny you say that, because I’ve actually been modding the game for the last year to fix all possible bugs, restore unused content, and improve it in any way possible. Check out my 3 showcase videos of my mod if you’re interested!
Just checked them out! It's amazing how many little improvments can change so much! Especially the collison, I remember stuff like that would always mess me up when I played lol. Looking forward to more :D @@MrFO1
While I’m here I’m gonna mention two oddities I’ve discovered. 1. Ice Slide has several holes in the collision as I’ve easily fallen out of bounds when not making a jump multiple times and had to wait for the timer to end for me to respawn. 2. Wing Shield deflects back at enemies more accurately when you reflect projectiles with your back turned instead of with the front of Spyro.
3:00 I will always associate this kind of thing with Planet Todano in Ratchet & Clank 2. The enemy load areas are weirdly small, so if you just walk a few steps back to the beginning, the enemies clearly disappear. A similar thing happens frequently in planet Boldan. And yet EtD is surprisingly good in this regard most of the time.
If you lock the camera for the tower climbing minigame, is it possible to complete it, or do you get stuck? Do the spiders still load? I imagine it’d be obnoxiously difficult to complete without visuals either way.
The game still thinks you’re in a conversation with the NPC after dying there. So if you were able to reach that NPC it likely wouldn’t let you talk to them again as the game still thinks you’re in the conversation.
Still been making videos on the game. Currently working on a massive mod, restoring tons of unused content and fixing hundreds of bugs. Seems like you have a lot of videos to check out :)
Yes, bugs shown off in the Oddities series that are possible to fix have already been fixed for the mod, as well as various unused content and other exploits shown in these videos. Not all unused content has a place in the final game or makes sense restoring, just like not all bugs are possible to fix. But everything that’s possible has been addressed or will be worked on in the mod.
5 years and you still have more to talk about with this game. I'm really impressed
It's a whole damn rabbit hole!

Your continuous discoveries are like a bottomless platinum mine.
It never ends...
Very true.
What a delightfully weird game this is.
But still good
@@kirtheweasel Levels are beautiful, characters models are unappealing, animation is bizarre, level design is mediocre, gameplay is decent.

Say "thank you" to Universal.
You are rude

8:50 The same thing happens in Cloud 9 with the dragonfly sitting on the pillars if you bubble it successfully and end up falling.

One of the most broken games of all time.
So broken it gave kids who were unfortunate enough to play it seizures.
Wow, amazing as always Mr. FO1.
Let’s hope more demo’s and prototypes will leak of this game one day and like always great video 😁💜
Unusual that this game of all games would have a physical strategy guide lol
Incredible stuff as always! Love seeing more content from this game :)
enjoyed your spyro doc
I grew up with this game, and this is interesting. But it boggles my mind seeing this game run not at all laggy.

@@MrFO1 Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!
So a game reset is needed to fix this NPC chatter bug. Neat.
What is the song at 3:45??

Thanks for sharing more oddities! I love this kind of videos 😊
Btw how's goin' your progress with the Spyro mod?
It’s going well, I’ll have another showcase sometime soon. Just working on fixing more bugs and adding more polish where possible.
@@MrFO1 sounds good! Looking forward to these next updates 👍🏻
Just as I was thinking about your documentary you pop back up in my recommended page. Where have you been all these years?

Man Enter the Dragonfly (Exit my Dartboard) really is just so very bad huh?
Wait, there was no blue space riptocs? I thought there was a few ones in that level as a kid! Mandela effect!
I'm curious, will you be addressing some of these things in your mod?

Let's hope for the best that more of the betas get leaked coming 2025 maybe?
