I’m so sorry you’ve been so very sick for so long. What a huge toll that can take on one’s body, mind, and spirit. Continue listening to your body and reflecting on the messages from the Camino. Your story of the woman who approached you at the cafe to thank you for your videos was beautiful and heartwarming ❤. Take care.
Thank you for being honest in these videos. You are an experienced pilgrim, and yet these things also happen to the most experienced pilgrims/hikers. I hope people see your videos so they know these things can happen. The Camino is never perfect. No matter how expensive your gear is, how trained and prepared your are. The Camino is going to give you challenges. I hope you get better soon and you are still motivated to finish this Camino. Good luck! :)
exactly - it’s never going to be easy, nor is it supposed to be. And that’s exactly what makes it so good. For those who want a holiday tour, this is probably not it. And i’m starting to think this whole ‘seasoned pilgrim’ thing is an invitation for trouble 😄 (as it should be). It’s always the first time. I’m feeling better by the hour, today was a good day
Hope you are feeling better. You are already providing this community of viewers with what makes your videos worth watching...authenticity. Vlog when you feel like it. We will still be here :). Buen camino.
Flesh of My Teeth is the name of your trip to Leon story. The honesty and reality of your videos is a large part of the attraction. Your videos are inspirational showing the bad with the good. You don't need to feel any pressure to release a video a day or walk any certain amount. Just trust your body, brain and instincts. Your health is extremely important, definitely more important than any competitive desires.
😅 yes you’re right - although it’s not competitiveness that drives this, but the desire to document as completely as possible. but i might have to switch back a great or so… feeling better, and walked.. wich was great. but practically no internet here, so no upload 😂🫡
Watching this brings back my memories last September. The only way I was told by the doctor to get rid of the bacteria is antibiotics. It seems that your not better. The day I got the antibiotic I was relieved immediately. 0ne pill for 3 days. I now travel with them just in case. I have never in my life experienced that. I have been all over the world but have stuck with bottled water. I know exactly where I drank it on the Norte. My husband didn’t refill his bottle so he was fine! We are headed on the Frances in Sept. with the 3 pills in my pack and bottled water throughout the journey. I am 70 years old..older and wiser. Please go to a doctor. Hydration can happen in a heartbeat. Love your videos!
thanks Ann! it was very violent the night before, and then it just stopped - i guess the culprit was expelled. Happy to not have to resort to antibiotics… but let’s see if this stays fine. Feeling much better on the somewhat wrangled..
Hey, paused pilgrim! If you find it too much of a strain to keep us updated on a daily basis, just do it when you can. I understand that you want to document the good and the bad, but … just slow down altogether. It might do you good. Get well first. And if your illness should persist, do see a doc and get some antibiotics. Of course it’s better not to take them, but what the hell? As mentioned before, I once got a gut problem in Spain and it did not seem to get any better. So I got some proper antibiotics of my doc back home and that did the trick. I think you have been down with it for more than three days now. So, if you don’t feel any better by tomorrow, find a doc. It’s time to get better and then simply enjoy the Camino … slowly. The Camino is not a race, and you really don’t have to prove anything to us. Glad you made it into this stunningly beautiful cathedral!😊
the craziness stopped yesterday morning, and then i added some imodium for good measure… feeling much much better. even walked today. slowly. it was great. thanks kater!

Rest. Recover. The path will be there, however long it takes.
My heart goes out to you. Being sick on your own in a strange city can be a lonely place. Keep the faith. Buen Camino.
thank you… rough days indeed, but it’s looking up today (was getting better in the afternoon and it seems to hold). might try a short walk.
Take care. Rest up.
Deepths & heights, cruz de ferro is waiting... Carpe diem & buen walking! 😇
you’re right… ominous
Take care. Get time to feel well.

I appreciate that very much Danielle, thank you - authenticity matters so much, warts and all (or cramps, in this case 😟). things are looking up!
