dont start as nova, its pointless to go through that pain with trash gear, u gonna be stuck on farming countess for a week. better to roll fire/cold sorc and do some mf runs, gear up a bit then go lightning.

Forgot Memory here +3 all skills + 3 energy shield just as swap in pre buff and only Lum Io Sol Eth and can even drop staffs with extra plus energy shield if you are lucky would allow to get more points into Telekinesis and have an even way more effective energy shield early on
3 all skill + 3 to es vs 4 with spirit, you miss out on 2 skill to es so..... you get 2% extra. not worth imho wasting a lum for 2% more.better to make a smoke.
May be one of the best ladder starters for easy wealth. Teleport for your team, they will give you the caster gear right? Countess and arcane runs for runes, keys, gems. Eldritch and Shenk (pindle?). Also, do normal rushes for socket quests.
@7:30 you can buy sharkskin belts from Farrah and elzix in nightmare act 2 with a bit of patience. Definitely worth it for the extra 8 potions early game. Cool break down though
important thing - if u start to use MF helmet early on, and u do not stop using it on Hell, u actually diminish ur chances to drop the base shield for Monarch. I am not D2 expert, just playing my first character after 20 years, but what I do is I run 0 MF till I collect all white bases I need (for mercenary too, giant tresher where are u....)
Traderie is really good. Especially if you don’t know what anything is worth. You can always search for the item and see what other people are trading for it. For example, I had a titans and didn’t know what it was worth, so I searched and saw people asking for ist rune for theirs.
Also, perfect Amythest, Ral runes and Hel runes are great things to keep early on. You will see people asking for these things a lot on traderie. I think I saw someone asking for 5 or 10 P Amythest for like a Mal rune.
Right now I am just making budget nova sorc on SP. It was working fine, until act 4 hell. Lords have so much health that even with static field it takes ages to kill them with nova. So I respect to blizzard sorc and when I fnish game I will respect back to nova and start farming cows and countess as nova again.

Crescent Moon by a wide margin! -Enemy Lightning Resistance gives you way more effective damage than +19% Lightning damage, moreso because when you max Lightning Mastery skill, your +%Lightning damage is already over 300%, so adding 19% more is a very small bump.
Here is a sample calculation to break it down. Let’s say your nova does 2,000 dmg. After your lightning sunder breaks a monster immunity, its lightning resistance is at 95%. So your nova will do 100 dmg to the monster. With the 19% from Eschuta’s, your nova does 2,380 dmg. After enemy resistance take effect, it hits the mob for (2,380 x 0.05) or 119 dmg. If you have Crescent Moon the enemy lightning resistance is lowered by 35%, bringing it down to 60%. Now your damage equation for a 2,000 dmg nova becomes (2,000 x 0.40) or 800 dmg. Obviously you need to account for FCR breakpoints and skill levels, but I just wanted to illustrate how powerful -enemy resistance is with a basic calculation.

Phil, you forgot Memory for the offhand! Memory is cheap to make so you can make it in a plain base while you look for a +3 ES base for endgame. I like it more than Call to Arms as a prebuff.
Exact, memory is needed to hit lv 40 ES, if you have 90% absorb with ES the diff with 95% absorb is you get 2x more dmg, so the +skills are super important with it.
Firewall is awesome for moat tricking mephisto, so absolutely yes it is. Chuck extra skill points into enchant for an act 5 merc to tank for you and you can smash Andy runs too
It gets dicey on hc, unless you have good gear or you farm in only safe areas. I would stick to blizzard until you get better gear. For example, in Chaos sanctuary, you will need to get close to Deseus and other strong mobs to dish out damage. If your res is lacking, it could be the end.
I have no idea how this build function you can't keep your merc alive for more than 2 seconds and when they hit you few times you die. And there is no way to level to 90 with this build since you need to farm p8 and you can't
If they are broke, with a ladder start character, you should really be telling people to farm nightmare with this sorc. Almost no lightning immunes, and the sorc can be more time efficient with much more total kills (and safety!) than in hell. For a broke character much of the good stuff you need will drop easy in nightmare especially things that really help lime mid level uniques/sets and CHARMS

Yes its my build guide but I'm not trying to take credit, I don't need mention, I just never see videos about the build and so many people don't realize how easy and viable it is no dreams or infinity required.
Online , the player count is precisely how many people are in the same game. When you hear people say they play on players 1, 3, 5 or 7 , they are doing single player game, where you can have the option to directly decide how many "players" are playing to manipulate drops in a way. Hope that made sense 🙏 🙂
Budget nova just feels so weak, even with a -21 +19 lightning res/dmg helmet and crescent moon, act 1 and arcane sanctuary is the only place with decent clear time on players 1
Farmed in hell mode only, you'll find keys of terror from the countess under the black marsh in the forgotten tower, keys of hate from the summoner found in the arcane sanctuary in act 2 and lastly and most difficultly in act 5 you'll find keys of destruction from niahlathak in the halls of vought (enter from town after saving anya). Combine 1 of each different key in the cube while in act 5 town to open a portal to a super hard zone with a mini boss at the end, who will drop an organ (gruesomely). Complete all 3 of these mini bosses then cube the 3 organs to face the games ultimate challenge, the Ubers. These are all 3 prime evils at once but way stronger. They are impossible to kill with some builds or characters, so check out some guide videos first before you spend your keys. And good luck! It's fun as and the reward for killing them is unreal

@@Novakan Let's say without gear, other skills, or anything else that reduces damage (since energy shield doesn't get any reduction besides telekinesis), you take 2000 damage. Energy shield at 94% would reduce that to 120 damage taken to health. At 95%, it would reduce it to 100 damage taken. That 20 damage gap could be enough to live or die, and might be easier to mitigate with flat based reduced damage numbers instead of % based. (120 is 20% more than 100, that's where the 1% is 20% is coming from)

Sucks as a boss farmer really, but demolishes random monster farming.
Can we replace the Gauntlet with runeword one for better stats or smth?
Gloves don't get sockets, so no rune words in that slot.
Tz andy can be crazy sometimes and I got SOJ and arachnids mesh in one hour run lol but trying for a griffons next but it's not showing up

You can shop level 3 if you are 94 and up but the level 4 is rng drops.
