Ah thank you :) I really did try to cut down on the movement and focus on getting in as many attacks as I could to get a better time. Even her single basic attack in ward has so much end lag and her dodge doesn't go as far as Cloud/Tifa so it's tough to not overextend.

Damn my dude, I kinda tried to "speedrun" Rulers of the Outer Worlds just for fun but the best I could do was a 3:04 with a full party haha (Cloud-Aerith-Yuffie off course)! A 3:35 with Aerith alone is pure insanity! 🤯 She might not be a dps monster like Cloud and Tifa, but seeing the big numbers from those level 3 spells just feels so satisfying haha. I've seen many people saying that she was trash in Rebirth, next time I'll sent them your video as a proof that she's just as good as the others and point out that you're not even using her in a full party where she's clearly at her best! I find it funny how there are literally no boss in this game designed to take on full might Aerith haha, like I've seen people hitting for 99 999 damage with her, but it always insta annihilated the boss straight away before she could cast her second spell since no boss in the game has over 150k health I think and had to lose so much to get to the point where she could go for those insane numbers. This video made me very happy as an Aerith main myself so thank you and congrats on the insane time! ✌
Thank you for the high praise! Aerith definitely doesn't have the dps/atb building of Tifa/Cloud, but her burst damage is incredible once she's set up. I would put her in the top tier for characters because she's strong alone, but also the backbone of strong party strats like brumal form + atb ward, arcane ward spell spam, and infinite limit break. She just needs a couple materia/abilities to get set up. I really enjoy playing as her!
@Dante-7-7-7 I mean, if she had the ATB build up of Cloud or Tifa I feel like it just wouldn't be fair. It's imo the main thing preventing her from being game breaking, her sluggish movement being the only other main drawback. Imagine Aerith with her Remake ATB generation capabilities but with Rebirth's magic, I think it would make no sense haha. You would give her the Genji Gloves and she would be decimating bosses even more! You've just shown she can already pretty much do just that right here when given the right set up... as is the case for every characters, so making her better would be pretty tricky imo. She's already basically game breaking in a full party, now she would be on her own where she's at her weakest 🙃🙃🙃. I don't blame the devs for going that route, even if it means she ends up a bit underrated by a part the general public. I don't understand why people focus so much on individual strengths in a game where you can play in a party of up to 3 people. The idea that Tifa or Cloud are the strongest only holds true in my opinion when you take them alone, which seems kinda arbitrary to me. Aerith is the only constant character in all of the best party combinations I've seen and I don't see why that shouldn't be taken into consideration when talking about who's the strongest character in the game. Anyway, that's about it for my rant on the subject haha, it was kinda out of the reach of your response, but I wanted to say it. It's not a competition so it doesn't actually matter anyway. All those theories about the ending being Cloud coping through hallucinations? I'll go with that, cept' here's what really happened: Sephiroth comes down, but Aerith just turned around and smoked his a** (ref. 05:37). Poor Cloud wound up in a fever dream cause he couldn't handle being pointless. :)

Like does it give us extra room? Looking at this fight does Aerith really need to die a the end of the game she literally whopped Sephis ass😂
Thank you! Precision defense materia is great for helping with Parry. In addition to the extra time it gives to parry, it gives extra stagger damage to the enemy (fills the stagger bar more) when parrying which is good especially for someone like Aerith who has to defend a bit before going on the offensive. For example, Sephiroth has significant stagger bar very early in the fight in part because of precision defense.

I'm good, glad to hear from you! Have been playing Metaphor: ReFantazio and grinding this lol. I had a cleaner run before (better Gilgamesh), but I didn't have the strat I had for sephiroth so I had to redo the fights and getting both good RNG and execution is very time consuming. This is my fastest time so far though even with Gilgamesh trolling. Other than trying for sub 4 no damage using this build I think I am done with Aerith Rulers lol unless a new strat is discovered. I need to catch up on all your videos! I see lots of good Aerith Runs and other character too 😄

Are you almost done with it? Good RNG is always time consuming since you have restart the fight from the beginning so I know all about that. I mean, you've pretty much conquered this challenge at this point so I don't blame you. I don't know if it is possible to beat Tifa's WR time (2:41 IGT) or at least get near it (probably not because Tifa has much better ATB regeneration and requires no set up) but you did an amazing job proving that she is very competitive with Cloud 😄 I hope you enjoy my Aerith darkside/no materia videos! I'm sure you'll love them ☺

There is even a bonus for no damaging fights so you might like that heh. I don't think it's possible to get close to Tifa, she's in her own category for solo 😅I was just happy to get within 1 minute of her. I think we are reaching the limits of Aerith's ATB generation/Setup as well Transcendence lvl 2 buildup. Aerith has her party wide buffs to make up for it though. Glad you are doing all these no materia Aerith runs, those videos are impressive :) since you can't rely on precision defense and all the other materia of course.
When you parry the first part of a multihit attack, you have a little time of being invulnerable if you do not hit any buttons. If you try to perform an action other than another perfect guard this will go away. so basically you want to guard again in sync with the next attack while you still have the invulnerability active to trigger another perfect guard. You can sometimes parry more times if you guard faster or less times if you try to guard again slower depending on what the attack is. As always this is easier with Precision Defense Materia.
The general strat is to buff fire damage as much as possible with magic focus, fire damage up on weapon, full power magic, sonic boom faith, and transcendence to do as much damage possible with genji glove equipped. Use first strike, ATB boost, skill master, and ATB stagger to get as much ATB as possible. Also Precision Defense and Steadfast Block to facilitate easier perfect guards and more ATB from those guards. Aerith's cycle is typically radiant ward -> transcendence -> arcane ward (skill master) -> sonic boom -> ??? -> firaga (skill master) where ??? can be fira or blizzaga depending on the situation. You want to fit in a spell so that Firaga will Trigger at least skill master and sometimes skill master + ATB stagger. You can change the order a bit it's just typically want Firaga to benefit from skill master or some other bonus ATB to mitigate the 2 ATB cost. Let me know if you have any other questions.
If you’re talking about the parrying the unblockables you can only do it if you have a maxed out Precision Defense Focus Materia. It only works on grabs.
