Period poverty is not addressed. With such a low wage as female head of household. Girls end up dropping out due to monthly absense. The delta of approx $60k includes this expense.

No. Why make this a gender issue? Low wage jobs are not career jobs.
In every low wage job I ever had after only a few weeks up to a few months I was offered a promotion.
People who stay in low wage jobs are lazy. They are bad at their jobs. They want more money 💰 but they are lucky not to be fired because of their poor job performance.
People who are successful are the best workers. Almost every low wage job has a path to promotions. People who make minimum wage their whole life are lazy.
I have worked with these types of people and had to deal with them after I was promoted over them.

Low wage jobs are replaced by yearly job fairs in my region. No promotion option. Hospitality work is notorius for this practice.
