I would say regarding charging batteries as I said in your previous video, its best to split up the chargers throughout the house like your doing because of tripping the breaker, but if your yard is not terribly that big, you could offer to mow a neighbor's house and get paid to do there lawn (or do it for free) if you want to have an opportunity to use all six batteries. Also I 100% agree I wish there was a way to charge the mower on the back of the mower, but Greenworks either did not consider it because they want you to use the batteries mainly but also one of the reason you should take the batteries out is if its a really hot day and you leave the mower outside with the batteries in it, that is very bad for the batteries to be kept outside, its recommended to bring them into a temperate room in your house as it says in the directions whenever its the middle of winter below zero or extremely hot out, the batteries are not designed to sit outside for prolonged hours in the heat, so in the end, its actually better you bring them in to charge them (and you make them last longer as well). So if you think about it regarding this one negative, its not a huge deal to put a couple batteries in to bring the mower up to the house, then put the other 4 in the mower.
The good news regarding the ability to charge the mower with a cable is Greenworks I believe might be coming out with a 54 inch 80 volt (but I imagine it can work with the 82 volt batteries as well) riding lawnmower and I believe it will have the ability to fast charge it on the back with a nozzle and cable to charge it while the batteries are inside the mower. Or hopefully use the 120 volt from the outlet to charge it that way for slow charging. So unfortunately, there is no way to modify this mower (would be very complicated to modify it I imagine), you would have to sell the 42 inch for the new one when they come out with one to charge the mower while the batteries are in there (the 60 volt currently has one like this).
Also the 82/80 volt is exactly what it means you can use both the 80 and 82 volt batteries in the same mower, so the mower between the commercial and residential is the same, just the batteries are the difference in voltage (mainly has to do with the quality of the batteries is that 82 volt has a bettery quality yield over the 80 volt is the main reason and can take a higher charge/voltage.
Get a Greenworks 82 volt push mower. I use the 80 volt 25 inch cut mower, its really fantastic! You can probably get the 30 inch mower, but that is $3000.

We have 1 acre here in N. GA, that my Craftsman LT42 has maintained for the last 17 years. As a retired building contractor I have been impressed with the quality of Greenworks 80v tools including the chainsaw. We just bought the CRZ428 and am looking forward to retiring our Craftsman LT42 and all the maintenance that goes with it. Other major factors in buying the Greenworks is it is zero turn, and made in TN. And as I found out Stihl owns a major portion of the company. Thanks for the video!

Thorough review. I bought the CRT and love it. I actually like the charging approach because each charger is 10 amps and charging is faster than the EGO. Like you, I split up the outlets. Also, it promotes better battery care because the batteries are out of the mower. I found a used CRZ used one season and buying it this weekend, so watching your video to pick up any tips. They guy I'm buying it from never charged two of the batteries because of the reason you mention, breaker tripped. Think one is bad, but still excited to get it. Thanks for the video. It was helpful.

Great video...thanks. A couple of questions for ya. You say "no belts". Are the blades directly driven and are the blades mounted to the motor shafts? Any idea of the RPM of the blades? Are the blades heavy metal like those on a normal lawn mower or are they lighter weight? I plan on converting a Hustler mower to electric using 80V components.

How did it do in the ditch by the road? I was waiting to see you mow that part since the grass was wet I thought it might be a problem

    • @RizandMe

It did pretty good, but it’s like any other zero turn they don’t like ditches. But I did flip it in the ditch and that was a very painful affair. So I don’t do much of the ditch anymore with it. I push mow the ditch and just do the yard with the mower lol

He bought the Greenworks Pro, which is "80 volts." The Greenworks Commercial is "82 volts." Though neither battery will fit the other brand's tools, the truth is that bith batteries use 20 cells per series and have the same actual voltage.
