I think the low budget teams method isn’t just about playing specifically to glorify “look how f2p thou art” but is more-so it’s the content creators looking for the LCD of team arrangements that a majority of the population already has. If a national team can work here, probably an arrlechino team will work there as well. If a hyperbloom team works here probably my tighnari yae miko team will work here. If the cc used a limited team to clear, people would complain about not having specific characters, but if you set the bar low to pretty much everyone should have these characters or better it’s more accessible to more people.
Way more people could have an arlecchino team than could have full national. Arlecchino just needs you to pull her banner and buy a bennett. National needs you to pull for c6 xq and c4 xiangling and c1 sucrose and buy the bennett. Yes statistically more people have national by virtue of being old players but those accounts could clear with all those 5*s they accumulated as well. 4*s are hell to get as a newer account, reruns are infrequent and the offbanner pool is incredibly diluted. I dont think any new player can play national unless they set out to pull for it at which point they could clear with the 2 c2 5* they pulled instead. 4*s are expensive af and not guaranteed.

Let’s say I’m struggling with this abyss cycle and I don’t have neuvillette (which I don’t) and I watch some videos to see what’s the 4* team people use to clear it to better get an idea for myself what I should be prioritizing. Maybe I’d pick fischl for 2nd half to break the shields w/ her a4 passive (not cons) because I don’t have limited 5* hydro units and the only 4* hydro units are xingqui, Candace, and Barbara but the thought of that never crossed my mind because I was focused on using fischl first half to deal with SIMON on 1st half 3rd chamber or I have never built my fischl so I’m only using it to specifically beat this chamber by getting fischl to 200+ ER and focusing on 100% uptime. Seeing someone using 4* teams is infinitely more useful than watching let’s say someone using Navia + chiori team to take out the wolf lord boss and say it’s just easy use a limited 5* geo team.

Any 5 star team except the anemo premium teams are more 'Accessible' than National. Getting a C6 and C4 4 star units is harder than making a full 5 star team.
@@alpha4935 All you lose is damage, for a team that barely clears unless hyperinvested.... You also need very high artifact quality to get xiangling to burst while still doing damage. Low con xingqiu is not gonna contribute any damage with how high his energy reqs are. Sucrose at c0 is not making that extra E worth of particles which further increases energy reqs. While you can probably get away with lacking some of the setup you gotta realize that at some point its just better to do anything else like using the 5* you got while pulling 4* cons.

Low Investment cult is just completely out of touch with the reality of the game when it comes to new or returning players. Everything is about time investment whether thats 4* rotating in the shop or on banners or simply just artifact and character material grind. There is no fast or cheap way, the gems spent pulling for 4*s or the glitter to buy every good 4* on the shop rotation can easily just get you multiple new powerful 5*s that can solo carry a team. But I guess thats too random/account dependent to theorycraft for so people would rather go with the "guaranteed" units and try to force them to work. Speedrunners are just kinda goofy but it gets pretty grating once they start to bring units speedrun performance into general evaluation. Not everyone plays by your rules and most speedrunners have very unrelatable artifact setups due to being whales that refresh to absolutely minmax 1 specific team in a cost bracket.
Not every speedrunner is a whale tho, you can speedrun with c0 5 stars and a relatable build, what isn't relatable is the technique. You need to be really good at the game
@@Sayise I am calling them whales because even the people who speed run with stuff like xiangling national do so in a way that they dedicate all their gems to that team in the form of 5* weapons and/or resin refreshes as well as spending their resin exclusively on Emblem domain etc and strongbox. Most people who still need help or meta recommendations dont even have the artifact quality of normal f2p veterans.

I actually got lucky in Fontaine, the characters whose story and design I liked the most ended up being the broken ones of this region (Neuvi, Furina, Father), but since I like the collecting part of it I ended up investing too much horizontally and not enough vertically, and the result is that I've got a ton of teams with mid investment and never 36 starred the abyss. Im considering going through Natlan pulling just for two new units and using my time and resources to just farm for what I got, artifacts, weapons and cons
The new Natlan support artifact set will be pretty nice for generalist characters like Bennett, even Chevreuse. I ran some calcs in an optimizer and my Emilie’s dmg got bumped up by a solid amount with the initial buff. With nightsoul buff additionally added, it went up a great deal more. I’m really ecstatic to start farming that domain in preparation of Mavuika and any other supports from Natlan.
Issue is meta literally means “community derived best strategy” but that’s impossible when everyone’s scenario is different. Account reviews are the only way of figuring out what someones meta would be
The reason why XL remain meta is bcs Hoyo buffed her through Emblem set and free busted weapon. The whole point of Inazuma release+Raiden kit+fishing system is one and only. And that is to buff XL lmao. She is doomed without these indirect buff. If you find some chamber is hard, like 4.7 12-1 sec half. Don't hesitate to retry and change your team. Bring more hydro or/electro like Beidou. If 12-1 first half has boss, but then the other boss is on the 12-2 second half. Don't hesitate to change your team. Yes you will not get that perfect clear of 3 chamber continous run. But building your teams to better suit enemies per chamber will result in easier clearance and even sometimes your only way to achieve 3 star on a said chamber.
I would actually say no. Completely. Vertical investment is good and pulling dedicated supports for ur team is even greater. But some f2ps go so beyond it they end up with c2r1 characters without theirs teams or gems for any else new exciting character cs FURINA OR NAHIDA C2 IS SOO GOOD and I NEED EVERY MY UNIT C2R1. but yeah, we should trust the player with their choices.

5.0 livestream make me wants to start a new account. The 2 characters I want to play are Keqing and Ganyu as they are the reason I start Genshin (mostly Ganyu). Since we get Keqing for free, I can wish for Kazuha as he's great for Keqing Aggravate team but also for Bennett for Ganyu Melt Team. Then next will be Ganyu, Baizhu and Zhongli. Great take! I support and play by the same rules. Tho my ceiling for vertical investment is c0(usually, only got hutao c1 cs how playstyle changing it is) and sometimes sig. So because of that I actually have a lot of characters and their best teams. And I would recommend for every f2p/low spender to play the same cs without new character game gets old pretty fast. I've never burned out of genshin once for 2.5+ years playing it now! Also a bit more: I pulled neuvillette(50/50 win, I wouldn't use guarantee on him) to shit on him and now I'm shiting on how "fundamentaly" broken he is lol. Can't wait when he becomes mid in terms of dps haha
I like changing my playstyle now and then so i want the new units. Thats why i dont vertically invest at all. If i pull a new unit, an old unit gets replaced. This replaced unit can either be a c0 5 star with a 4 star weapon, which only cost me 150 pulls, or a c2r1 character, which costs me like 500 pulls (My 50/50 loose rate is like 80%)
The characters I main are worthless trash, doing vertical investment on them is as good a decision as eating crayons with glue and bashing my head against concrete. Pulling meta and clearing for free has carried me ever since the start of sumeru and it will not stop for as long as this game remains a gacha Look, im angry and all but honestly putting an alhaitham abyss clear over the part where you claim "this game's meta is whatever you want it to be" works against your argument, considering he is a top 3/2 meta onfielder and the most cost efficient character to build in the game
Since the new character trials are a terrible way to really get a feel for new characters, I created an alt account to specifically pull characters I'm not sure about - that way, if I enjoy them enough I pull them on my main. It also depends on what weapons you have because if you don't have good ones, you'll need really good artifact stats to compensate. If only the weapon banner was like Wuwa, I'd be pulling all the signatures!
Sometimes all characters you like is quite weak and characters you dislike are very powerful. And no matter how much do you invest you'll never get a powerful team.

Kazuha is a little different because he is a support. If he directly makes the characters you like better, that may be a reason to get him lol. But if you have no use for him, definitely don't feel pressured to pull just because he's strong.
Neuvillette with Constant Vape. where we have Furina/Nahida/Raiden level off field AOE Pyro Application with long Duration and Short Cooldown. And also if that pyro application enables Nightsoul effect for every non Natlan character just like Furina HP drain for everyone would be the cherry on top. And Yes we are at the era where powercreep Dosen't just only have to ve with highest DMG. Hell no instead powercreep will now be judged as per QOL.
And Yes I cleared the Hardest Abyss yet with just AFK Furina Team i.e. Furina Nahida EM Raiden Jean And Neuvillette Hypercarry with AFK childe i.e. Neuvillette Kazhua Childe (AFK) petra Zhongli. So ye QOL Lazy ass behaviour with Meta Level DMG is very possible.

@@chadchampion3700 leveling units to 70 without artifacts doesnt cost much. You need at most 2 built dps and a friend to clear, everything else can be blank. Depending on the rotation of free units you can get away with less. The real limiter is actually having enough units pulled to play.

Yes its easy but very easy if you have lvl 80 characters and decent build on all of them but even if you do not have 1 character you can't compete thus impossible. For me I don’t like Geo and don’t have any 5 stars because I didn’t pull. If they have geo elements I am doomed.
Your "stop recommending national" and "stop recommending hyperbloom" rants are still, to this day, the best and most useful takes I've seen anywhere, from anyone, for actually new players in this game. I just want to see some content for legitimately new and low or no spending players who don't have C6 of any four stars, let alone all of them, and anything at all that is more interesting than "just use Furina / Yelan / Jean bruh." The number of tier lists and character guides out there where all the "best teams" have the same 3-4 limited five stars and it's assumed that all four stars are C6 is idiotic. Anyone who actually has all that doesn't need a tier list to decide what to play if they have spent any time building and playing all of those characters over the literal years it takes to acquire them. And any legitimately new player does not have constellations or refinements on anything and has, at most, two or three random five star characters and maybe a random five star weapon or two. Unless they just whaled out from the start. And if you're whaling enough to be having all the things even when new to the game, then none of the guide content matters anyway because any fully pimped C6/R5 limited banner unit can one-shot everything in the game. It would be really nice to see some legit non-meta content for a change targeted to actually new players with severely limited rosters, where the baseline is no constellations, no refinements, and the focus is building usable teams that can attempt hard content with the random stable of "bad" characters that are all you have to work with for 99% of legit new players who have been around for a year or less and who haven't dropped the price of a new car on the gacha.

Vertical investment is an outdated tactic after imaginary theatre release. It gives more primos and is also easier if you just spread out resources

I like changing my playstyle now and then so i want the new units. Thats why i dont vertically invest at all. If i pull a new unit, an old unit gets replaced. This replaced unit can either be a c0 5 star with a 4 star weapon, which only cost me 150 pulls, or a c2r1 character, which costs me like 500 pulls
(My 50/50 loose rate is like 80%)
The characters I main are worthless trash, doing vertical investment on them is as good a decision as eating crayons with glue and bashing my head against concrete.
Pulling meta and clearing for free has carried me ever since the start of sumeru and it will not stop for as long as this game remains a gacha

Since the new character trials are a terrible way to really get a feel for new characters, I created an alt account to specifically pull characters I'm not sure about - that way, if I enjoy them enough I pull them on my main.
It also depends on what weapons you have because if you don't have good ones, you'll need really good artifact stats to compensate. If only the weapon banner was like Wuwa, I'd be pulling all the signatures!
Sometimes all characters you like is quite weak and characters you dislike are very powerful. And no matter how much do you invest you'll never get a powerful team.
do you have specific characters in mind to consider they'll never get a powerful team ,(in the 5s range at least)

Kazuha is a little different because he is a support. If he directly makes the characters you like better, that may be a reason to get him lol. But if you have no use for him, definitely don't feel pressured to pull just because he's strong.

Well for a F2P, vertical investment is way worse now because of imagenirium theater. You need more characters than strong characters.
Imagenirium theater is drop dead easy you don’t need to do all that much in terms of horizontal investment

@@chadchampion3700 leveling units to 70 without artifacts doesnt cost much. You need at most 2 built dps and a friend to clear, everything else can be blank.
Depending on the rotation of free units you can get away with less.
The real limiter is actually having enough units pulled to play.
@@luminous3558 Well you need good artifacts and because of the randomness. They have to deal damage moderately. You can't have the best teams to play. Yes its easy but very easy if you have lvl 80 characters and decent build on all of them but even if you do not have 1 character you can't compete thus impossible. For me I don’t like Geo and don’t have any 5 stars because I didn’t pull. If they have geo elements I am doomed.

Your "stop recommending national" and "stop recommending hyperbloom" rants are still, to this day, the best and most useful takes I've seen anywhere, from anyone, for actually new players in this game.
I just want to see some content for legitimately new and low or no spending players who don't have C6 of any four stars, let alone all of them, and anything at all that is more interesting than "just use Furina / Yelan / Jean bruh."
The number of tier lists and character guides out there where all the "best teams" have the same 3-4 limited five stars and it's assumed that all four stars are C6 is idiotic. Anyone who actually has all that doesn't need a tier list to decide what to play if they have spent any time building and playing all of those characters over the literal years it takes to acquire them. And any legitimately new player does not have constellations or refinements on anything and has, at most, two or three random five star characters and maybe a random five star weapon or two.
Unless they just whaled out from the start. And if you're whaling enough to be having all the things even when new to the game, then none of the guide content matters anyway because any fully pimped C6/R5 limited banner unit can one-shot everything in the game.
It would be really nice to see some legit non-meta content for a change targeted to actually new players with severely limited rosters, where the baseline is no constellations, no refinements, and the focus is building usable teams that can attempt hard content with the random stable of "bad" characters that are all you have to work with for 99% of legit new players who have been around for a year or less and who haven't dropped the price of a new car on the gacha.
