Hi, l hope everything is ok now!!!!
I am tapering and want to know how you make 8.8 mg?
    🤔🤔🤔
    The lowest Lamictal l have comes in 25mg/and halves =12.5 & 12.5
Did you split the halve pill of 12.5???
And how long are you going to stay in 8.8mg?
    Thanks!

Hey! I had to go to a Compounding Pharmacy to have my 25 MG pills crushed and dissolved in a liquid solution. Do some research to see if there is one near you. I highly recommend using this method toward the end and going in smaller increments if you can.

My husband is off Lamotrigine since 3 days ago. Lowered the dose to half, every 7 days, had been on 25mg for 2 weeks and 50 for 2 weeks only. At 50, had Horrible depression side effects for 2 weeks and decided to stop. While trying to tritate down On 25 and 12.5 (7 days each), he seemed somewhat ok (except for maybe a couple of days). But on 6.25mg and now 0, he is feeling down, suicidal thoughts, on and off, very tired, cannot work. It’s been though. By your experience, will it get better soon? It should be out of his system in 2 weeks, but for how long will this mood issues and depression keep happening?

Hello! My understanding is that it takes a bit longer after reaching 0 mg for the brain/body to recalibrate. I would be patient and not expect the symptoms to go away overnight. It may take weeks or months, but there's no way to be certain. I had pretty bad side effects for about a month from a SSRI I only took for a few weeks that actually triggered manic-depression, which is a big reason why I was prescribed Lamotrigine. I would recommend your husband try out some natural supplements, definitely taking large doses of daily fish oil, and perhaps reaching out to an herbalist or getting regular acupuncture, massage, Reiki or other forms of self-care that regulate the nervous system. It's worth investing money upfront to care for oneself during or right after withdrawal - I think it could make a huge difference in speeding up the recovery process and reducing fear about "not getting better." I currently take Lithium Orotate supplements (5-10mg/d), that may be of use to him as he is experiencing depression. Definitely ensure he's seeing a trusted therapist to talk through those suicidal thoughts - I have faith he'll get better, the nervous system really gets wracked with these drugs, so it's temporary but requires some regulation. Self-love and compassion, walks in nature, plenty of affection and someone to talk to go a long way. Tapping (EFT) can be very soothing as well.

Ethereal Ecology after stopping it Days 2-5 were really really tough. Days 6-12 were actually ok. Day 13 he is down again. I don’t know what the future holds. It’s still soon. But I just bought some Lithium Oratate 5mg and he will try that. He already takes lavender, 3000mg omega 3, vitamin b12, Theanine serene with relora (it has gaba, magnesium, taurine, l Theanine, etc) and 2500mg CDB oil daily. Do you think lithium could interact in a bad way with those supplements? How much should he take (200lbs)? Twice daily, Morning and evening, 5mg each time?

@@miascoolworld2806 hey there. I am definitely not qualified to give any advice on dosing supplements. I actually haven't taken this consistently, I've had more luck feeling the impacts of Chinese herbs. It sounds like he's got great supplement game anyway and adding something may not be helpful. I hope he feels better over time. It took me many years to feel happy but a lot of that was because of internal dialogues and an inability to feel my feelings to their fullest extent. Depression comes up a lot for me when I'm ignoring other emotions like fear, sadness, grief, etc. It may be useful to do some somatic therapy or Core Energetics, like working the body in specific ways to move emotions through and work through them. I love the book The Language of Emotions for describing emotional dynamics in beautiful practical detail. Healing is a deep art and operates on physical mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Have faith in the process! Healing is a journey and everything felt along the way is there to give us more information about who we are and what we need.
      Much love.

I went off Lithium last year (2021), and it took a good 6months after stopping for the side effects to subside.
