good to see you my friend...for some odd reason, the YT algorithm is not sending me notifications of your latest reviews. Im finding out that other reviewers I follow are having similar problems with this as well.
I'd really like to see you review the NF Audio NM2+ iem. A lot of reviewers are praising it for being neutral as in monitor worthy for a reasonable price and I'm curious what you'd have to say about it as you're one of my more trusted audio reviewers here on yt
This was a fun and surprising video/review. But somehow I couldn't get my eyes away from the cayin iHA-6. I still looking forward to that video on musical fidelity mx-hpa and Cayin iHA-6.
I just ordered a 2015 edition of the mini i pro. I wouldn't buy the newer models as I'm only interested in having a DAC and not interested in the extras like streaming and bluetooth, lan etc... The price of these in 2015 was $520 USD. The 2015 model has the ES9016 Ultra DAC chip in it (Sabre).
Does the Mini-i Pro 3 automatically switch between speaker and headphone outputs? Or does it play both at the same time?
It switches to headphone output when headphones are connected.
Any interest in a proper video on the amiron wireless copper? Or a quick comparison to the panda, even if in a comment. I've been eyeing them recently
I compared the Copper to the Panda in the Panda review. But in short: the Copper has more treble emphasis and a slight push in female sibilance. Bass is similar to the Panda. Comfort is greater on the Copper. Unlike the Panda, the Copper does not have any audible noise in the BT signal. Over wireless, the Copper has slightly reduced sibilance and treble compared to wired. The Panda’s performance doesn’t seem to change in that regard.
@@NoThemeReviews yeah I've seen that video, you also mentioned that the copper, in your standard testing, have more detail retrevial too. They seem pretty appealing to me, and I do like a brighter sound. Thanks!
17:52 I had to listen to this part 5 times. It sounds like you’re saying the button placement is “really hot”
Naw. Just hard to get to
Wow, this is what I call a rabbit hole
Nice review..used to have the first imini matrix but i always felt it was not that good at soundstage and it was too smooth, not analytical. It also failed as headphone amp. The new one seems upgraded, but i am not sure how it could be compares against something like pioneer u 05 or marantz dac1 ...
Hi friend, the mini-i 3 is totally different with the first version mini-i DAC, from the DAC chip, the circuit layout, the power supply, and the headphone amp, they are completely different except the brand name. 😀 It's worthy to have a try.
@@matrixaudio thanks for the answer, I was very curious about how much it was improved... Have you ever tried/compared it with other well regarded Dac-amps such as Marantz dac1 or Pioneer U-05 or even the small IFI idsd micro ? How could it stand against them ?
@@matrixaudio It really was! Thanks for the No Theme Reviews to advice to get and try this gem :D. I have totally forget Topping A90/D90MQA...
I have been using a MATRIX Mini-i Pro bought in 2014.
Works well though, some of the LED segments have failed.
Seriously considered upgrading to the Mini-i Pro 3, 4th Gen.
But was disappointed to note that:
1. LAN not with PC or Android. Only iPhone, iPad or macOS computer over AirPlay.
2. No direct connection to HD or SSD
So I am looking elsewhere.
Hello my friend!
Do you know how this dac compare to the RME-ADI-2 Fs Dac ? Soundwise is the the Matrix better,? upgrade worthy?
I've never heard the FS
@@NoThemeReviews I think they mean RME-ADI-2 DAC fs, which you had previously reviewed and have the link to.
Hi, do these hiss on sensitive iems like andromedas?
No but I don’t recommend using this with IEMs. There’s far too much power
Have you tried higher end Matrix ?
Yes the X-Sabre
Is this power enough to use on bnw 805 d3?
Of course not, its integrated amplifier will only amplified headphones.
No returns on Matrix Audio products!!!
If you consider buying a Matrix product be aware that there is no return option on their products.
I bought two weeks ago a mini-i pro 3 but It does not suit me (no good integration with my system).
After contacting Matrix their final word is that they do not allow returns. I think HIFI producers, when they sell direct, should allow returns, What do you think?
Any case be absolutely sure, for 100%, before you set your order.
Thanks for the heads up. I was considering one but now not interested.
Hi, can i stream Apple Lossless through the Airplay?
Yes, CD quality
@@NoThemeReviews not 24/196?

I don't need to see the cable management behind those dac/amps... but please show us in a future video :)
The cables are very carefully stuffed haphazardly so that they don’t catch my eye. Once there was method. Now there is only chaos.
Not i can’t wrap my head around the fact that this device is not capable of being connected to an external drive locally. How could it be called a streamer? You can’t even connect the MA mini-i pro 3 to an external DAC via usb. Why should anybody take this over Cocktail Audio N25? I don’t understand MA mini-i pro 3. it doesn’t make any sense as a streamer
