The pros that use artisan pads are currently split between soft and xsoft. It is difficult to find a good timing for introducing an element to your set up that takes that long to adjust to.
Thank you for the kind words! My Kong arrived decimated - so hard for me to tell on that one. I have the new Pro, the Leviathan, and both versions of the Carbon. I am not entirely sure about the old naming of their products, and what I just googled confused me more than answered my question. What is your budget? Are you in a region where they ship at a reasonable cost? I would likely direct you to other pads if you are looking for a straight out recommendation, depending on the budget. Also what games do you play, mouse do you use and grip style?
@FragWatch Thank you for your answer. I live in North Africa, and it is difficult to buy from Amazon and other EU stores like MAXgaming because of the high shipping price. So, I mostly buy from AliExpress to avoid the high customs price. I have a Vxe r1 pro, and my budget is around $40-50

Man, if you are able to snag a Vaxee PC or Vaxee PD, I truly think that's the best bang for the buck right now. The ATK 99g Carbon (not the Air) and Pro are both pretty good options as well that have surprised me.
I've read that on chinese forums the ATK xsoft pads are compared closer to Artisan's soft pads rather than xsoft do you agree? Also btw ordered a Maya X thanks to you and other reviewers!
It is not necessary at all. I do a session of testing with every pad where I make the room 72 degrees F, with humidity at 99% to test this exact subject. This played fine with that.
And let me clarify, I think using a sleeve is universally good. I personally own 15 sleeves, maybe more. When I play super sweaty or am grouped with players that I view are more technically skilled than me, I always sleeve up. Better circulation, better warmth, less friction, and it does give your brain a little confidence boost.
Type 99 has more control in my opinion with most skates and mice. (edit: After breaking in the Sky Pro has more control, but its general movement is more fast. More stopping power with the Sky Pro, probably due to weave and density, but the general movement is more fast.)
Update on the answer here: The Type 99 during general movement is going to be a little slower and encounter more friction - however the stopping power on the Sky Pro is MUCH better. This is likely due to the weave style and layering in addition to the super soft backing / foam.
wow, that`s a great many arguments, I really have to get an arty xsoft one of these days, no wonder so many pros are using them.

I ordered the artisan key83 soft xxl ❤ ty
Make sure to let us know what you think about it!
Enjoying it? Do you feel like on the larger size it is consistent quality throughout?
Nice review my friend. I'm thinking of getting ATK sky or kong, and upgrading from PK control. And are ATK sky and Atk Kong the same thing?

Yes an ATK xsoft is the equivalent of an artisan soft. And the rebound has a slightly different characteristic.
are you excited on your new mice? when it will arrive?
Yes I am very excited - they were so affordable and look like they have such good components! Should be here middle of, or late next week!
@FragWatch can you check the new eweadn s9 ultra looks like naya x purple black color, im so surprise they copied it.
I'll look into it. It's way back on the list though!

Is it good to use g99 carbon with a sleeve?

What's the more control pad ? Atk pro or the type 99 ?
Great question, let me put more time in with the Pro so I can answer that to the best of my ability.
