Owned both and still have the Shield Plus. But best value may be the CZ P10c. I’m seeing it for sale at $300. Of the compact guns, VP9, M&P Compact, PDP and P10c are tops. Notice I didn’t include the G19. So that’s high praise for the P10c so at $300 it’s hands down the best value.
I have a shield plus with holosun 407k, and a cz p10c. I unfortunately got the plus when the optic ready model dropped at $550, and the cz p10c at $500 2 years ago. Both are incredible pistols.
I’m with you exactly. I carry the P0S in the winter, same reason, gloved finger fits perfect in the trigger guard. The Shield Plus is my EDC 9 months of the year WITH the MagGuts +3. Only difference is I use my original PC Shield ported barrel and slide on the Plus body. Love the fiber optic sights and the ported barrel has just a touch less muzzle flip. I have a Vedder LightTuck IWB and DeSantis Mini-slide OWB holster for each. Both are excellent carry guns.
I carry a G19 and a Hellcat Pro (not at the same time). Shot both today at the range and both were great. I’m liking the Hellcat more as I get comfortable with it. Great ergonomics and pretty darn accurate.
I went from a P365 to the shield plus. The shield fit me better and I love the 15 round mags. I still have the 365 and carry it a s back up every once in a while. Solid weapon as well.
Shield Plus doesn't get near enough attention. Phenomenal handgun. A constant carry for me. In rotation with an M&P(40)357c, and a Glock 30SF (Winter only, she chunky but i love her lol). P10C is amazing as well. Don't need one, but thought of getting one for awhile.
Not sure if it was mentioned on the comments, but you mentioned the P10s now comes OR. Yes, it does and also mine came with additional base plate extensions. I paid a little over $400 OR, 3 mags and 3 additional base plates. Also, I grabbed the shield plus at the right time when S&W was giving 3 free mags with any S&W carry purchase this past August. Love both and both serve their purposes when need be. Love them both in their own ways, Not 1 over the other.
I have the original Shield. It is a very solid firearm. They can be had cheap on the secondary market. Very nice EDC. Wish I had the CZ S. Have the M and the 07.
My edc is the P10-S. Also love the Shield plus, however, one of the main reasons I went with the CZ is that it is ambi out of the box - that’s a critical difference for wrong-handed shooters, like me.
I got my optic ready P10S for 300. Love the gun but i dont carry it because the gun pinches my finger with a mag extension (i have large hands, its just necessary for me with most smaller guns). The P10C on the other hand is IMO compact perfection, i love everything about it. That being said i also own a shield plus which i recently got for 250 and it has taken over the role as my main carry and i like almost everything about it. Hate the trigger safety, i dont like that you get a dead trigger if you try and pull higher on the trigger which ive never experienced on any other gun. Literally thought i was getting malfunctions until i figured out how to avoid it. My brother hated that part as well. Turns out it is a VERY common issue that people dont seem to talk about and some fanboys get angry when i and others mentioned it online.
I love my Shield Plus. It’s not often enough that you can say that quality can be had for a rock bottom price. Bought mine on sale for $399 with a $50 rebate.
Of the two, I like the trigger on the Shield Plus better. But that's highly personal opinion. I like having the break further forward in the trigger guard, not back towards the rear. Something about my right hand/fingers. Further back in the rear, and I have to work harder on trigger control to keep that low left pattern from showing up.
I carry the 43x mos and 407k with the tier1 holster. My tlr-7 sub holster are coming soon so I cannot wait to try that! Two Gen 3 shield arms mags! She’s been good to me,1700ish rounds and no hiccup. Can’t wait to dissemble her at the 2,000 rounds mark to deep clean and polish it! Testing my 19x to carry it for the winter since I just love the look of it so much. The shield plus been calling my name ever since I’ve been looking for my first gun. I’m going to grab it when the opportunity is right for me!

So happy with it out of the box that's there's really no "upgrades" needed. CZ is definitely on my list to buy in 2024. Been looking at the CZ-P07 as my first one. if you 100% want a DA/SA cz then the p09 is the full size version of the p07, and is usually a good chunk cheaper. but the p10 is absolutely unREAL with its trigger at $350-400.
I've got a P10C and have to say that is one of the best values for a 9mm in quite some time. I also love the trigger and the large trigger guard... I recently bought a shield plus and I love the trigger on it which is so much better than that old stupid hinge trigger but I really wish it had a large trigger guard like the CZ. That is probably my only complaint on the shield is the small trigger guard
there’s so many videos on each gun from each different creator, honest outlaw reviewed the p10c in 2017 when it came out, also done the same with the shield plus.
I'm hearing that the 9mm Shield Plus can accept the higher capacity mags from teh S&W EQUALIZER. That may be something to look into for when your pistols are serving home duty 😊

I love cz but they really need a cz p10m in double stack. The p10s is nice but the barrel is slightly too long imo. There are micro compacts being double stack being the same size as the single stack p10m. 7 is too low to me , I need around 11-13 rounds in a micro compact to feel somewhat safe.
I carry shield plus with night sites with a Dasantas slim tuk ISW BAND holster ,and I rotate my ammo between Winchester Black box and Hornady critical defense
He has a video on that 😉😊 Myself I prefer a belt with a ratchet buckle, also called a zip buckle. Extremely easy to put on and take off, and it allows for micro fitting to your waist. So much better so than one of the old traditional buckles that uses holes.
I love my Shield Plus and have been planning to the CZ because of the price and or another shield plus because the one i got isn't OR. Hell I may end up with both. Never can have too much

Have a P10C. Wish i would have gotten the S instead for CC. Also have the Taurus G4 carry. Overall a decent gun. But doesn't have the trigger pull like the P10.

I have an old G43 I use for pocket (ie office carry) that also was my summer carry... Recetly got the Shield Plus for my summer carry for the extra capacity. One question, I recently found 95 grain 9mm ammo (Hornady Defense Lite) that I prefer in my Shield as it makes it slightly lighter... (compared to my G43 that Im used to)
Sadly Cali residents like myself can’t purchase these firearms. Although a few new handguns were added to the CA Roster recently. But the prices are easily 1.5-2x the price compared to other states, it’s ridiculous. By the way how do you like the shield plus vs hellcat for EDC? I’m torn between the two, since I already use a p365 as my EDC. And I’m looking to get a secondary/backup EDC. Thanks!
@@jl3449 sadly Californians can’t buy out state guns and register it in CA unless the gun is already CA compliant. FFL dealers won’t accept non CA compliant guns. Unless he got his off roster gun from a friend or family member who is law enforcement

@@realyouth5273well the more budget upgrade would be to get a Ghost Avenger Connector for about $20. It will immediately improve the stock trigger. As far as actual triggers... You could go with the Glock performance trigger (I have one on my G26 and it's great!) Apex triggers have an outstanding reputation. Been looking at buying one for my PSA dagger. I also have an overwatch precision TAC trigger for my G43x MOS and I'm very happy with it even though it doesn't lighten the trigger pull. And you have the Timney triggers that have a good reputation but I haven't had any experience with them tbh. So there you have it! Good luck!

P-10 is underrated. The shield plus and hellcat are close fight though and when I recommend them to people its a usually "what feels better to you"

the P07 is very nice. the cajun gun works package for it is also really good and one of my favorite triggers in a DA/SA gun.
Just sold my Glock 19gen 5, to buy a Shield Plus OR. I liked the glock, great gun, but the Shield grip and trigger was a difference maker for me.

Just got the P-10C about a week ago and the P-09 on Friday. If im not mistaken the P-07/09 mags are usable with the P-10 line.

S&W is my EDC and it’s the best.
I think Cz price are low because they own colt and Dan Wesson. They can charge out the neck for those guns and keep Cz’s affordable.

I agree with your choices. However, you can get a brand new Taurus G3C for $200 with 3 12 rnd mags, and it is an excellent firearm.

I have some California friends. I would look at the 43x or the Max 9 CA compliant model.
