  • Hi folks, we've reached the final episode for this series. However, the fun still doesn't stop there. We still have a lot of activities to do onboard on our last full day at sea.

I loved all the videos! I'm planning on booking this with my fam but I'm cautious because of the shore excursions. I plan on probably doing 3 of them, one being rome. Can you maybe tell me how much the excursions are?

Hi, thanks for watching! Excursions vary in prices, depending on what type it is and where you’ll be purchasing them. If you purchase an excursion directly through RCCL, you will probably pay a little bit more than if you were to just “do it on your own” (i.e. finding excursion packages through a third party provider). That being said, purchasing it through RCCL will have its own benefits, the biggest being that it will be worry-free for you (everything will be taken care of on your behalf-shuttle to and from, day’s itinerary, getting you back on the ship on time, etc.). Many people also do the excursions through third party. They just need to manage their time wisely. Be mindful that in Rome, they will dock in Civitavecchia, which is approximately one hour away from the city centre of Rome. So if you’re booking an excursion in Rome on your own (e.g. walking tour/vatican/colosseum), you might also have to book the transfer to and from the port.

@@MichelleAngela thank you! I really want to do Rome through Royal, did you get to see everything at the Vatican?

@@StephanieJ24 The excursion we chose for our day in Rome is quite hectic. But we did get to see the major attractions-starting off with Vatican (Vatican Museum, St. Petere’s Basilica), then a quick trip to the Trevi Fountain, then Colosseum. From Trevi, we had a one hour lunch break, then we walked from there all the way to the Colosseum, making quick stops along the way to see some historical sites including Victor Emmanuel II Monument (outside), Roman Forum (just on our way to the Colosseum. We never got to go pay for the entrance and see it). The Colosseum tour was also just from outside. There was just not enough time to see them all in one day. So we had to choose what we really wanna see, putting the Vatican tour at the top of our list. The whole excursion in Rome was an intimate (15 guests) one, which I highly suggest. It makes a huge difference when you have a smaller group!
