Fun video, great memories there. I worked out of here 1966-1969 as a geological field assistant, camp cook, and horse wrangler/packer. The old glass gas pump worked back then (see at 1:14). Good to see the old store/hotel has been kept up and is still going.

We love Mogollon. We are from southern New Mexico and have friends who live there parts of the year. Dan and Kate Morgan have lived in Mogollon for many years are the life blood of Mogollon. Dan passed about two years ago. Great people. Kate ran the Antique Store which is gone because of the flood I think in 2013. We have gone to Mogollon for over 20 years and love Silver Creek and have backpacked hundreds of miles in the Gila Wilderness. There is so much history there and the people of Mogollon try to preserve it and have for many years. If you ever get the chance to go to Mogollon do. It takes you back in time. Stay at the Silver Creek Inn and eat at the Purple Onion. You won't regret it.

I bought a small woodstove there in 1990 at General Store/Museum.

My husband and I visited Mogollon in the late 80's having found it in a Ghost Town brochure. We pleasantly surprised to find people living there.

There was a website called "The Road to Mongollon". We visited a while ago. Should have stayed over. Thank you

when was this actually filmed? I notice the road looks fine and know it was pretty well washed out not so long ago...

Mogollon had terrible flooding in 2013, which destroyed the roadway that was the only way in and out of the mountain town. The state has been reconstructing the road, and as of a Mogollon Facebook post a month ago it is still under construction, but passable.
