God I love their interactions so much. Morrigan becoming softer is nice. And Alistair maturing. Shame that these interactions in Inquisition aren’t on consoles
I love to see how they’ve grown! And come to a place of mutual respect and maybe even a bit of affection. Yes, I do wish this (or the equivalent depending on your world state) wasn’t the only moment, but still glad for it! Thank you so much for watching! :’ )
@@crazyandorian there’s apparently a glitch where for some reason this scene doesn’t really occur on console. Yes they are you just need to connect your account then access the keep on a computer to trigger this specific event: 1 Alistair needs to stay with the wardens 2 Alistair needs to have completed the dark ritual with Morigian and I think that’s pretty much it other then the fact that you have to complete the mission of wicked eyes of wicked hearts and progressed just enough in the warden quest Line that Alistair is in sky hold

@@greyngreyer5 we don't talk about veilguard as a legitimate part of the dragon age series we're doing what black butler fans and showrunners did to season 2 maybe bioware would also hop on the train and make a _real_ dragon age 4 later, because that's NOT how you end one of the best franchises of the first half of 21st century.
Morrigan’s return in DA: I was amazing, specially because my Warden Amell romanced her and made the ritual, so I could clearly imagine those years of happiness of them three living together being the reason she evolving into this amazing mom. She offering herself to take Kieran’s place when she thought Flemeth was going to take the boy’s body literally made me proud of her maturing.
@@badlie4858 Definitely holding out hope for a serious sequel. Veilguard ending kind of showed some quality, probably what the old writers who were laid off came up with..
This is my favourite moment in the ENTIRE game. I actually think nothing ties as long and as important character arcs in the whole trilogy than this brief exchange between two of the oldest and most central individuals, previously distrusting rivals, now respectful friends. It shows how much they've grown and matured, but also that they still clearly retain their original personality, mannerisms and foibles. Whoever wrote this dialogue really knew what they were doing, and this animation is the perfect complement to this heartfelt exchange, bravo
YES... morrigan left in the trespasser ruined my plans.... back on my first playthrough i decided for kieran to be born exactly so that i can say something like this: "happy birthday kieran, you are 10 years old now, auntie has a birthday gift for you.... Yes its a sword and thats not all, antie will teach how to fight and strategize and more... by 13 years old you would be leading a squad against darkspawn. and by 18, i will amass enough army to do a coup and you will lead them with the power of old gods... but we will not stop with just ferelden, we will conquer all of Thedas... as auntie and niece"
I love how you’ve done this cutscene justice. To me Dragon Age Inqusition is so good it can almost feel like the companion banter and scenes without Inky are like scenes in a tv show.
Don't worry Alistair he will cease to exist in The Veilguard...much like yourself, the Hero of Ferelden, and basically many of the key characters and plot elements of past games.
*Characters relevant to South Thedas. Hero of Fereldan means nothing in Tevinter, Kirkwall Champion even less so. I don't get it. The game is set in a different place we have never been (Northern Thedas), not revolving around south Thedas characters makes sense?
It’s a pity this is only possible if Alistair is a Grey Warden. Makes you understand how becoming a king means he’s sacrificing himself, his interests and passions, for the good of Ferelden. And reading the lore of a world state where his political marriage with Anora brings stability and prosperity to Ferelden, I can understand how that could be the “good” path.

Love the fact that you used the DA:O camp theme for this. It fits so well. The nostalgia was through the roof.

Kate and Claudia don’t just voice act, they’re a walking acting class. It’s breathtaking how their voices give life to their characters.

One of my favourite little moments of this game. It really shows that they respect each other despite their differences.
I loved this exchange, I wished DAI had more moments like this. It only makes it sader how divorced DAV is from the original Dragon Age.
Moments like this just senselessly lost because the studio wanted to be 'special'

I love this. It's soft, which this scene is, but the surroundings (and graphics) of DA:I don't really let that show as well as this does.
