What , really :O !? if you have flares that helps for sure. Also - I've noticed sometimes I get put into a server that has very few people in it. You can always change maps and go back to Bahari Bay and hope you get into a server with more people!
@@wookiemurmur being forced to rely on others just to harvest a necessary resource to further my furniture crafting is hands down the single worst part of the game for me. Before flow groves I’d spend gobs of time clearing out an area of trees to force the spawns, only to have no one come help. Now with the groves, I always seem to be in the wrong side of the zone and when it spawns I’m spamming chat and no one answers to tell me where it is. I’ve been able to harvest from just two groves so far, just enough flow wood to make 3 items. I’d personally rather they made each tree require 3-4 or more chops if I could just do it solo, like literally every other resource.
Buy flow wood from Anders after you chop a bunch of trees. You can see on your main page how many points you have earned that equate to how much money you have to spend on flow wood. It only works after you reach level ten but worth it. They do not have enough Flow trees in the game. Sure at 12 eventually a grove will spawn somewhere. Folks are fairly nice about holding up chopping. Depends on the group, person. So, if you see an alert pop up? Ask for help, omw, on my way helps the group look for you. Try to carry flare arrows. You are very welcome, my friend!! I'm so glad I could help. And now you are helping people with this video!! Excellent!! And hey, if you ever need help farming flow, I'm your girl! I lol'd when you said, 'Oh, lookout lil buddy,' and wouldn't chop until he moved. You're such a sweetheart!! 💜💜💜
There’s a spot in the outskirts that spawns flow pretty easily. It’s on the cliff to the right when you’re walking toward the flooded fortress entrance. I chop on that cliff and just below it towards the outskirts fast travel and it never lets me down. Tons of flow trees spawn
I recently started playing on Switch as well and I've totally noticed a difference. :( I've been struggling to get the Hot Pot mini game to work on the switch as well. I agree - hopefully the switch gets updated in the future :)
A huge part of the problem is that the switch is running on ancient hardware not fit for anything that's even vaguely detailed. Speaking as someone that primarily plays on switch and is thinking of upgrading to valve's switch dupe
I hate the whole needing other people to cut down flow trees. That, alone, turns me off to the whole game. I'm a massive loner. I just want to play the game. I don't want to play it with other people. To make a core material completely unattainable solo... 😩
Aww I'm so sorry! I hope you find joy in Palia another way! You can always just hit up the tree groves if you'd like. Those happen every in-game day at midnight. Yes - you still need other people there, but there's always mroe than enough people for the trees. you can always look at the chat to see where to go, show up, chop and keep to yourself :) Otherwise you can buy the flow planks from Ashura in the Foraging Guild Store after you've reached level 10 foraging
I don't really have a specific strategy for that. I like to keep my farming area small enough that i can keep everything with-in eye sight but still large enough that there's a decent amount of trees to chop. And when in doubt , hit the tree! better to hit it twice than not at all😆
Hey there! Glad to hear that you and your wife are enjoying Palia! I do have a community group - it's just me and one other person at the moment haha! You and your wife are more than welcome to join! My username in-game is the same as my UA-cam channel name. Feel free to add me :)
Tip, if you don't need the wood from the normal trees or don't care about foreging levels you don't need to pick up the regular trees,. Maybe you don't have a lot of food with you. 😂
If you have too much of something, or something you don't want to keep, you can destroy it by opening the general menu ( + on switch) and then opening your inventory. You select the item and then you press + and A. I don't know how with a PC. I struggled a lot with too much chests when I begun to play until I found this. Happy game to all of you 😘
I quit playing pallia because of flow trees and Palium ore. I really enjoyed the game but having to find a group …btw, I hate relying on other people for my gaming experience..for trees and ore or, in a lot of cases, fighting over them was just too much. Oh! And don’t get me started on the silk 😐. These 3 things are your core needs for crafting but are the hardest to come by. It’s just not worth getting triggered to try to farm them. Great game otherwise
I think it should be totally possible to get these mats on your own, even if it’s slow. No one should be forced to interact. Personally, I’m the one who scouts for the Groves each night and calls out more over server chat whenever I see it. But I can’t imagine asking everyone to do that.
If you hit the flow tree once then the game registers you as chopping that tree. This is important to do because when you have a group of people chopping at the same time not everyone may have a chance to hit the tree before it falls. If you hit the tree once in advance you'll still get the loot drop even if you didn't get to hit the tree later on when everyone is chopping at the same time.
I made this video before flow tree seeds were a thing in the game. I've never had a flow tree seed myself yet, either. From what I've read online you need to first complete the Temple of the Roots questline (so, multiple quests within one story line) and then after doing there's a CHANCE that the Galdur statue will give you a flow seed. However, you could also potentially get a random regular seed. So - long story short, is getting a flow seed for your plot is something that can/may only happen further down the line in game play.
Just trying to understand. What is the point of going around chopping until they spawn and then not collect those flow woods? Why hit once and not all the way and that on to the next?
I’m not sure if I completely understand your question, I’ll do the best I can to answer. I apologize if I misunderstood. For any flow tree larger than the small ones you need more than one player to chop it down. You cannot do it alone. By hitting the tree at least once the game registers you as having partaken in chopping it. I like to let the server know where the trees are, then when other people arrive if they chop it down before you can get a hit in it’s okay, because you already hit it. Hitting the tree at least once is like reassurance that you will get the loot from the drop after the tree has been chopped down.
It still is frustrating. I chop at a tree, find another one, chop at that. When I return? Trees are gone and no logs are left behind for me. It is frustrating.🤨 Though, chopping a lot of trees, raises clout with Angus? And you can buy flow wood for 3pts. each.
oh no!! I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time with the Flow Trees! I hope you have better luck in the future. Yesss buying the flow planks is a great way around farming if you're able to.
Always loot the tree before walking away. Leaving the area means losing the loot. I have learned that the hard way as well! (hit flow trees and left - no loot when I came back 😢)
@@Sillysillywithpearls Thanks. I try to remind myself if I need a lot of flow wood go to Anders. And I can get Dispell Arrows cheap from Hessian. If the trees are close enough? You can go back to finish chopping and get wood. Weird, how the timers are working since sometimes I'll run into a deer sack, because it was a deer I shot at but hadn't killed. Someone later did. They just need to have more flow trees, period. I have spent hours in the woods hunting and not found one. I have so much wood I have to sell, sometimes delete it due to inventory issues.

You can chop little and small flow trees by yourself. Small ones take quite a lot of hits to cut down but it is possible alone :)

What is the best strategy for keeping track of the flow trees you hit so you can find them later to collect?
