- Hi! Welcome to my Scotland's Castles channel. Here I will share my photos and videos of Scottish Castles that I have visited or recommend you check out. If you are a Scottish history fan or are just interested in visiting some interesting places in Scotland to visit then this is a good place to start.
I will take you to castles all over Scotland and the Scottish Islands that are well worth a visit if you are from Scotland or planning a trip in the future. There is nothing more exciting and interesting than the history of Scotland.
Here in America one can only dream of seeing such beautiful stretchers as these. It's very nice to get to view them on these videos. A lot of Americans share the history of England Scottland and Irland we can only dream of seeing castles that our ancestors would have known. It's great to know that they are being preserved for us all.
I moved to Pollok as a baby in 1949. We stayed in one the prefabs built a couple of 100 yards from the castle on the Brockburn Road. This was our ‘ playground’ during the summer holidays. The grand hall on the ground floor was our indoor football pitch when it was raining, always of course looking out for the caretaker. A whole bundle of happy memories from that time, lots of ghost story’s. Many many years later along with my wife we visited the castle, it was an open day I think and I managed to find what was left of my ‘menshie’ carved out over 50 years previously.

I went to crookston sec and I’m from pollok ,, my grandparents faced house faced it too so historically it’s been a part of my life. A lovely well presented mini history doc 👍
