Worst It Is Not Known. People Stopped Playing CD's In Full. Not Like That With Our Albums. I Believe Those Who Were Born In The 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's And Up To 2010 Have Benefited Hearing Music At Highest. Now It Is What It Is. The Quality Has Dropped. Lets Play It Back.
The song played to both of their talents. There hasnt been a singer like white or hayes, that sound they had. It wasn't just their voice but their actual musical instrument playing ability that set them apart. The only sad element is that clown in the back ground of this song
One of my favourite tracks of all time - Stevie J production at its finest. had the Money Talks Soundtrack and played it til it broke. I’m only here cos it’s not on Spotify or Tidal.
I really forgot how hard this song was. This should have been on one of Faith's albums. This was a good look for the culture. Two RnB legends from two different generations. Such a smooth song. Puffy is a beast for this one.
Such a beautiful song. Heard this at the end of the movie Money Talks and had to find it. A wonderful collaboration by Mr Bass Man Barry White and the sexy and sultry Faith Evans. It's unfortunate these two music icons didn't produce an album together. I'm sure it would have been something very special, just like this song. R.I.P. Barry.
I haven't heard this sense some fool stole my CD book at my girlfriend's Halloween party in 98. Lol Had this soundtrack, every Wu cd up to that point, first two Mobb Deep joints Smh 😢
Money talks couldn’t have chose a better song for the credits.. when the beat plays and the credits roll give me the chills. Wouldn’t care for this song without that movie and this beat
Was watching money talk on Netflix. Caught this song in the credits! Wasn't sure if the female singing was Kelly Price or Faith. I knew who the male singer was instantly. This cut will be in my rotation.
[Barry White] Faith, I've got Faith (say what?) (Can't stop, can't stop, no, uh uh can't stop) [Faith] My first, my last, my everything, yeah I've had love in my life But I've never had a lover Who can keep me satisfied always Feels as good as when it started Ever since the day I felt ya Never knew no love departed, baby [Barry] 1 - You're the first, my last, my everything And you are the answer to my dreams [Faith] 2 - There ain't no doubt about it No way to get around it Now I know I need you Are my everything I can leave, I can try But I'll never find another Who can please me quite the way That you do (That's right, um hmm) I don't mean to brag about it (no, no) But you can't get around it And I'm gonna be here for you always, yeah [Barry] Baby, I've looked far and wide But I've never found Anyone quite like you (say what?) Baby, please, you know I just hate To wait Repeat 1 Repeat 2 [Barry] Don't keep me waiting For I have discovered My wants and my passion for you (say what?) [Faith] You'll never have to wait again Cuz baby I feel about the same for you (I feel the same way too) (Say what, say what?) Repeat 2 & 1 until fade
I used to work with Barry White all the time in Las Vegas in the mid 1990's. I would either engineer or second engineer. So here's the story of how the vocals for this track came down... for those interested. Faith Evans crew was completely amateur. They flew in to Vegas to record with Barry White, who is R&B royalty. The way that works is everything is ready to go at the time Barry is scheduled to begin... and then we wait for Barry to show up a few minutes or even a couple of hours late. That's the way it works. Well those Bozos weren't with the program. They were staying at the Desert Inn hotel, they were supposed to bring the 2" multi-track to the studio HOURS before the start time... HOURS... no tape. So I drive OVER to their hotel suite and pound on the door. No one answers. I call the A&R rep back at the label and keep them informed. 2" tape requires set-up time to do right and according to spec. You have to calibrate playback and record in accordance to how the tape was originally set-up. This process takes about an hour or so to do right on a 24 track. Barry shows up... a little late but normal. I believe his guy's name was Frank. If I remember correctly Frank was PPPPPPISSSED to begin with. Barry rolls in and says "f this" and leaves. Then the Bad Boy entourage finally shows up with tape in hand... late AF. Barry has already left. Those amateurs thought they'd roll in late on Barry and everything was fine... some no name producer I can't remember who was high AF. Anyways, several calls were made between the label and Barry's people and after a new number was discussed after this insult, vocals were recorded. But the track was already overdue for the movie and this BS wasn't helping. I think it ended up at the very end of the movie when it was supposed to be in the beginning. Barry was a good guy. He had his moments. But you just don't treat big names like that... go missing, show up late, and roll in like you own the place and expect everyone to wait for you. Diva behavior from a no-name entourage.
This song was so underrated!
Remember it from money talks

[Barry White]
Faith, I've got Faith (say what?)
(Can't stop, can't stop, no, uh uh can't stop)
[Faith]
My first, my last, my everything, yeah
I've had love in my life
But I've never had a lover
Who can keep me satisfied always
Feels as good as when it started
Ever since the day I felt ya
Never knew no love departed, baby
[Barry]
1 - You're the first, my last, my everything
And you are the answer to my dreams
[Faith]
2 - There ain't no doubt about it
No way to get around it
Now I know I need you
Are my everything
I can leave, I can try
But I'll never find another
Who can please me quite the way
That you do (That's right, um hmm)
I don't mean to brag about it (no, no)
But you can't get around it
And I'm gonna be here for you always, yeah
[Barry]
Baby, I've looked far and wide
But I've never found
Anyone quite like you (say what?)
Baby, please, you know I just hate
To wait
Repeat 1
Repeat 2
[Barry]
Don't keep me waiting
For I have discovered
My wants and my passion for you (say what?)
[Faith]
You'll never have to wait again
Cuz baby I feel about the same for you
(I feel the same way too)
(Say what, say what?)
Repeat 2 & 1 until fade
