Good video. I went straight to Lightroom, bypassing Classic. It’s sometimes tough learning from videos because the two act differently. This helps me understand those differences. Does Adobe have a published roadmap to add Classic features to Lightroom?
Hi Terry! Great video! You explained it perfectly, appreciate it, seems to be so much confusion with the naming conventions, files structures etc. But this video was very helpful. There is one thing you missed, that i'm still unclear on. What happens to the images in the "Lr Vs LrC Syncing" collection if you unsync that collection in Lightroom Classic? Will those original files still be available in LrC once the collection is unsynced? Will those original RAW files that were uploaded from Lightroom (desktop) / or mobile stay in LrC and will the actual RAW files still be in the folder specified for "specify location for lightroom synced images" in the LrC catalog ecosystem? ie. would I then be able to delete images/albums on on Lr (desktop/mobile) and still have the original files/images in my collection in Lightroom Classic after I have unsynced the collection in LrC?
I have my folders on a desktop external hard drive converted to DNG. Each time I upload can I create a new folder with my new DNG’s and upload it to the cloud? One more question probably found in a different video lesson. Can I backup my Lightroom Classic catalogue somewhere to the cloud to use to facilitate full recovery?
I'm just rewatching because it's been a while since I've used Adobe sync. Makes sense. Very much appreciate your time here and I fully understand the sync process / thank you Problem for me though! I have disabled / deleted "all " collections (LRc) then on web cleared all deleted BUT cloud used has NOT returned to zero? Please can you help.
I have Photography Plan which gives me 20 GB of Lightroom cloud storage. I understand I can sync an unlimited nr of photos in smart previews but my LR says the cloud is full even if I just synced from collections in LrC. They are all in smart previews. How do I solve this?
Apologize. Longstanding semi professional and hobbyist. Using light room withhard drive backup and cloud synch outside of lightroom. Wasn't clear which version gives me lightroom capability to synch all files like you showed. I like workflow but did not get which version give me the full synch ecosystem with full Canon raw synchage. I would be willing to do paid Zoom consultation if you have time. Joe ricci
LRC rules, LR sucks, yet LR gets the new tech. WHY??? Why can't I sync photos between my PC and Laptop at full resolution without being stuck using LR on one of them?
Sorry, watching live, 37 mins, LR classic gets unlimited preview files, but you still have to go back to the original computer to render to jpg for upload, correct?
BEST TUTORIAL 😀👍 THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENT EXPLANATIONS
Thank you Terry, very helpful.

Hi. Is there a work around to move and export the 5* rated raw files to a separate folder to send to a MacBook pro?
Thanks Terry
Am using light room Cc classic. This is the version that can do full cloud synching?
LrC only syncs Smart Previews up to the cloud.

The one that syncs full size originals is called Lightroom (Not Lightroom Classic).
Can you explain why we need to add photos to a collection and not just keep in the drive we want them in.
Because syncing only works with Collections which does NOT impact where you keep them in your drive. ua-cam.com/video/kbM6b4q17MY/v-deo.html

As an example, that loupedeck sitting in your photo that won't work with LR :(
