Yes it was helpful for me. I just had a head-on while riding in Idaho. First time in all 60 years of riding. The front end was tweaked and we kicked it into shape. Now that I'm home I have to go through that procedure. Thanks.

Damn! Glad you seem to be okay. Or at least hope you're okay since you're typing this. I got T-boned by a car running a stop sign on my supermoto. Can't tell if my bars are bent, everything is misaligned, or a combo of all of it.

Glad you were not hurt too bad. Try to not tear up my new bike! Haha. When i was young and didnt have money to fix things after crashes we would ride with bent bars and twisted forks and fenders so long that when we did get money to repair it correctly having it stright felt funny! Haha.

Great video, definitely use a torque wrench for the triple clamp bolts. It is amazing how sometimes nothing happens & other times, it’s all out of whack.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! My sons have KLX140s and a 110 and I’ve had to do these steps a number of times out in the field and back in the garage. I’ll be bookmarking this! ❤😅

Sometimes you have to loosen the top pinch bolt.

4:53 YESSSS i wish more people knew about this technique, if the axle can’t flow freely through the fork lugs then they are at a bind

This is super random but can you make a video comparing older 2 strokes like the kdx200 to a modern 2 stroke trail bike?

Literally 3 weeks ago I caught a digger and broke my bar risers, bent the bolts on the risers... good times.

I've always done the spin the front wheel and lock the brake a few times. Its worked for the last 30 yrs... Any reason it doesn't?

I hit my dog 6 months ago, going 45 mph, and I broke my collar bone in 2 spots vertical and horizontally. and had the same thing on my hip and thigh. but my bars, I thought, were bent, but I went and did what you did, and nothing changed. then I loosed up my bar clamps, and my bars went back to normal. I guess when I hit the ground, I twisted my bars, and when I loosed up the bolts, it untwisted it's self. crazy I thought I bent them, but nope. good, Ole stock yamaha bars, lol.

Bud, you did the front axle tightening sequence wrong. The axle nut needs to be tight before you tighten the pinch bolts on the left side. You tightened the left side pinch bolts first, that's not correct. Tighten 1 or 2 right side pinch bolts first to hold the axle from spinning, then tighten the big nut/bolt, then tighten left side pinch bolts, then loosen right side pinch bolts. Then the best thing to do next, I prefer, is compress the front end off the stand and then slowly lean the bike against a wall or hold it upright and tighten the right side pinch bolts. Also the whole axle should be greased. Good video otherwise.

You're correct, this is not how you tighten a front axle. Its always right (non-braked) side, axle nut, left side, then loosen and reset the right side.

yeah, you can't create clamping load on bearings if you do as he did.

Looks like I don’t need to bother watching this video since I never crash (checks sky for lightning).

Good video but this time you were a but scitso in that you were constantly moving the camera. Often blurring the views. For example too fast to see the lines on the top of the forks which would have been good for newer riders.

Kyke, the older you get the more diggers will be in your future.
