Your first year I was 18, and I remember thinking how cool it is that this young guy like me can do this! I’ve been a fan ever since! Won’t be the same without you, but you’ve earned it! Love you man! You are definitely a great ambassador for the sport!

I've been watching this man since I was a kid during that time fishing was on TV only Sat morning. If you missed it you missed it, I was up every sat.

You're my main man I got crazy Into fishing because of you. I'm so very proud of your Career I'll never forget you said your Grandmother gave you the money to get started. She not only changed your life but all of us to because we found a great teacher in you. I know this is your last season. But I know you will have continued success in whatever you do going forward. Love you my friend and coach. I'm now a disabled veteran with a lower leg amputation but I'm trying to get back to my boat so I can fish again someday. Been a fan since I got into competitive bass fishing in middle school. Crazy to think this will be the last season to see you do your thing, but I'm happy for you and your family! At the end of the day that's the most important thing! Glad that I got to watch and learn from the best tournament bass fisherman of all time, and I look forward to watching you this entire season! It’s sad to see him starting to end such a great career. He has inspired lots of people,including me, to go fish and try new techniques.
His technique is what helped him win several titles. Fast reaction retrieves and covers tons of water. I too have followed what he taught. I've followed what he's said and I've become a much better fisherman. I notice his favorites to use for lures are jerkbaits are a big one, spinner lures an squarebills. He's a specialist in all 3 of these. These are his go to lures

I am going to miss pulling for my "hometown" hero, but at the same time I respect him going out while he's still winning and at the top of his game. Enjoy time with your family, because as I just found out, life can be 2 centimeters from being a whole different story.
