    I don't want to detract from the guide, but as someone who pretty much onetricks tracer in GM, I do have some notes. People reading this can take it with a grain of salt, but I have a couple observations. This is not a bash at the creator, but more to add additional context to the guide and show that even GMs aren't perfect.
    1. I think the most important part of Tracer is uptime and setting up your positioning. Tracer should be allergic to main. Don't have Jay3 positioning (it's one of the weakest parts of his gameplay). At 3:44 you shouldn't be sitting in main shooting into Narnia. That's a good way to get tapped by Hanzo. You should be more proactive and be working on setting up your angle sooner.
    2. Tracer has a 12 meter damage fall-off. I notice you frequently shoot people out in Narnia, like at 3:57. People can argue for "distraction value" but you essentially traded 30 ish damage for removing your element of surprise and your current position on a flank. Not a very good trade IMHO. You should instead have kept wrapping around and you would have caught the Hanzo by surprise a lot sooner. Hanzo was pre-firing you at 4:01 with a sonar *because* you gave your position away. As I'm writing this, 4:10 , once again, shooting into Narnia, it does nothing.
    3. It warms my heart seeing that even T500 players make the cardinal sin, the Spilo "tracer sandwich". Once again, 5:58, this does nothing. We should be wrapping around. You ate a rock at 6:08 because you triple blinked out in the open, in the middle of the enemy team, then proceeded to engage with 1 blink, and you used that blink to go out in the open again. Cover, cover, cover. Even the fastest hero in the game's roster needs to be utilizing it. A far better position as an example, would be blinking behind the circle thing to your left. That way, you get both supports to full 180 from the front of the fight, and you're forcing a 1v1 with cover because the sigma can't see you.

      @ToasterTron2000 you got some good points. Most of the flaws I showed in the video are because I am a bit rusty still, I haven't touched the game in a few months, so I'm getting back into it, lol but yeah even OWL pros make mistakes, no one is perfect. Thanks for the comment and advice for others!

      Just started maining tracer. Any tips you can give if it's not a big deal about isolating 1v1s? I know you talked about positioning, but sometimes they will be clumped up. Would a distraction be good or what?

    • @ToasterTron2000
      @ToasterTron2000 Місяць тому +4

      @@Kariyuu__420 Distraction is good too! But cover usage is key. You can "force" a 1v1 with clumped up teams simply by your positioning and cover usage! For example, an ana or kiriko might be close together, but if you position yourself where only the ana can see you, (as long as that positioning is within 12 meters), that 2v1 effectively becomes a 1v1 because the ana is the only person that can damage you! Distraction is always good, but it needs to be timed with your team, and you need to user cover. If you are distracting 2+ people (once again, still need to be within 12 meters), and as long as you are hugging cover, you can duck back in to safety when they start looking at you. It allows you to *persist* on that angle for longer and keep applying pressure once they look back at the fight.

      Thank you! If you are talking about first game ever then it's the old Halo's, I LOVED those days, nothing else can compare to those days lol or games on gamespy like Medal of Honor allied assault and break through.
      Nowadays everything is meh to be, it's been really hard to be hyped about games nowadays, maybe it's because I'm getting older but these games now, have so much less than what we used to have back in the day it's insane lol

    Hey Chris. I just got back to OW after 2 years, havent really kept in touch with the game. I know that back in OW1 as a tracer you could counter enemy tracer by denying her flanks. Does this still apply in OW2?

    what do you do say if your on defence, and the enemy team is just grouped up together behind a reint,sigma or dva on cart and getting peeled but your team is playing scattered?

    • @ChrisLudovici
      @ChrisLudovici  28 днів тому

      Honestly just gotta pray your team pulls it together lol, I'd say build your pulse and try to get a huge pulse, other than that it's definitely gonna be real hard for you top get a pick with your team super scattered, maybe watch like 1 or 2 of your teammates, see if they go in and if they do then try to get a kill, I usually go in with at least 1 other teammate if he is being aggressive if your other teammates are not, hopefully that makes sense lol

    Literally the first minute of the gameplay and I question how hanzo misses you everytime and how does the mei not one shot you. I make this exact same
    play and I get headshot around every corner. Explain.

      You have worse movement. It's just a skill issue.

    • @ChrisLudovici
      @ChrisLudovici  28 днів тому +1

      just gotta crouch more and be quicker with the movements around corners, I sometimes get one shot as well, but most of the time I'm too quick for them to land a decent shot as in A D spam and crouch spam a little more

      @@ChrisLudovici How do you become "quick" around corners? The hanzo is just garbage and he picked a lucky game. If you peak corner where a hanzo knows youre there, you dont live. I play in Gm and this shit never works

      @Ren21727 he'll prefire his shot since he's a projectile. Just pause your movement briefly before entering the corner, and faster around corners means stick to the closest shortest distance wall
