I recently got my friend into DCS, we’ve been flying the F-14 with me as RIO. Playing DCS together is relaxing and has been getting me through a tough period in my life. Keep it up!
I just recently got into it too myself and yes I agree playing DCS has gotten me through some rough times as well hope you situation improves as well.
A friend and his son have been double-crewing an F-14.
So far, they've not had enough practice, and I took them down using an A-10. 3:)

When I've tried to explain AEGIS to folks, well explain without breaking opsec. I'll say to them a lot of that processing power is to tell the system what not to display.

MSFS does many things brilliantly but it's lack of proper military integration & mission content/purpose has left me disappointed.
I just got into DCS 2 weeks ago, get ready to break your bank account lol. All jokes aside, jump on it now. Things are on sale until the 3rd.
There's something so much more satisfying about flying in DCS than in MSFS. I don't know if it is how the camera works or something but everything feels so much more weighty in DCS.

@@alexstojadinovic438 yep, it's Bagram. We had rumors about a possible Afghanistan map years ago. I really hope it's finally happening. People often complain we have enough sand in DCS, but that's the conflict zones of our time and Afghanistan has a huge variety of terrain. Would be amazing! Can't wait for some more information.

@@agggrgrg2419 South Atlantic map looks great and I'm gonna get it for sure, but I'm more interested in Afghanistan, having served there in two tours more than a decade ago. It has so much potential and is just perfect for the modules we have and get soon like the Apache, Strike Eagle, F-16 and Thunderbolt and not to forget the Hind.

Been with DCS now for I think 3 Years, bought for me all important modules, I play in VR, despite the many issues with VR and DCS, it became better and better. One thing that never dissapoints is Nick with his calming voice and the extremely well done Trailers they put out. They, never, ever, disappoint. The Music, the arrangement, the scenes...god damn, that stuff is amazing and gives goosebumps.

They Started Out With "Flanker" I Think, Then Lomac_Lock On Modern Air Combat With The A-10 & F-15 American Flyables. Russian Mig-29, SU-25 "Frogfoot" Su-33 For their Carrier and the Su-27. Now Years Later with the Lastest Video Cards & Other Hardware it Looks So Real !!

Seriously though, amazing work. AMAZING work. I couldn't have imagined this when I started with "DCS: Black Shark" in 2010. Well, I mean, of course I DID imagine it, but only in the most abstract terms, and now here it is... Was that a goddamn rainbow I saw in the mountains?
That Mud Hen is certainly going to be an interesting experience... I'd definitely be up for a spin as a Wizzo, it sounds chill.
I also really love the irony in the music choices lately, like with the Cranberries' "Zombie" earlier. I mean, we're all adults here, let's not kid ourselves about what we're up to in there and take a humanistic step back for a second-It takes some guts to put it out there like that and I greatly admire it.

I appreciate this simulator and the efforts of the creators and their striving for realism. When I put on my goggles and despite my limitations, I am able to feel like a ruler of the skies without closing my eyes, then the great cost of all accessories, addons etc... is nothing for me, because thanks to eagle dynamics I can make my dreams come true. Thank you with all my heart for your work! I am part of the DCS world!

My point is - every good game, when on the wave of increasing popularity, got ruined by kids

Bagram had the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing flying the C-130, Pave Hawk, Chinook and F-16. Considering we have the F-16, and have the Apache coming. A C-130 would be best bet aircraft wise. However there is the possibility of a map expansion too as previously mentioned by ED however Bagram seems far from any existing map. On the other hand the gunsight does belong to an F-4E I believe, which was also mentioned years back by ED, and there was no mention of the SU-34 that was being shown with the Hind a while back. Many new hints at whats to come! Well done ED :)

Amazing, i'm so happy i found you back in the standalone days, been with you through the merger into DCS:World and now into the future. By far the best combat simulator in the world and dreams have come true for many of us, be it with me and my 70 year old pops flying around in the cat to me watching him fall out of the chair in VR.

I started with the Su27 Flanker Commander’s edition back in 1992. Been a part of the journey since the beginning. We have come a long way from Flanker 1.5. And the future looks even brighter. Looks amazing! Every time I see this I feel jealous for a second to 2D guys, what a beautiful picture they have in DCS! Then I again realize that it doesn't matter how potatoish it will look I will still prefer VR. Hope you guys earn enough on this to finally be able to release updates to game engine and VR. Don't get me wrong, I'm really grateful for the job done, and thanks to you we already have lots of great modules. But we still can't fully enjoy them even on the most beefy PCs and this really needs your attention. Please don't forget about us, VR guys 😉 Happy holidays to everyone and see you in 2022! 🎄
