Hello Dear Olha, A beautiful video again. It's always a joy to see you modeling with so much passion and skills. Thank you and GLORY TO UKRAINE. Greetings from your Dutch friend. Gerard
Hi OLHA, want to thank you for another great video. Watching this with interest since have the John Smith shallop, the Santa Maria, and one of the life boats. .figure start small and work my way up to the shallop, Also enjoyed listening to you hum while building in this video.. Thanks again for all the videos of the John Smith shallop.
So nice to see you got your ship at your place, luckily the damage was not too bad. But you did fix it and improved it as well !! Great video again, with lots of new stuff to learn and admire. Like always I did enjoy watching it with the most of pleasure and interest.
Glad you picked this one up again. Posted on a really important day. All my best to UA ... just devastating what has been going on **sad** . It is unbelievable that a year has passed ... Thank you for sharing all of this. Your level of skill is off of this world. I'm following along with your series and simply taking into account what you're doing - learning during the process, has led me to creating my best model ever. So again, big KUDOS to you! With love and courage to you, your country and people!
Excellent work, as always. If you'd like the leeboard tackle to look like there's a bit more weight on it--take an put a bulldog clip on the end of the board to temporarily add weight. Then, "paint" the lines of the tackle with a touch of starch to give them a bit of stiffness without the rigidity of CA. Remove the clip and the leeboards have "weight."
Inspired by your art and the aesthetics of your presentations I have ordered the kit from kiev 3 months ago. All went well and i received kit no 63 in december last year. In between i build it to just the stage that you are now, hoping that one day you would go on with it... what happened right now ;) For me it was a real challenge, and some of your videos i watched over and over, because the building instructions were not detailed enough for unexpirienced shipmodellers. So many faults happened. I built the shallop much darker and more worn but I love both versions. I hope you can return to your county one not so far day. Peter from Germany.
Thank you Peter Yes, this small shallop is difficult for beginners. But if you are already at this very stage, then you are already an experienced modeler. I am now sewing the sails for this boat….
I ruined three blocks - it's beech and it chips very easily at such a small thickness. I am currently having a major repair in the workshop and therefore all my power tools are now packed in boxes, so I build from what is at hand)))
I’m so sorry that you’re model got damaged traveling to the United States! It was wonderful watching you repair it! I thought you built it here in the USA!
I was in Kyiv in the summer and my friend Pavel inspired me by his example to continue working... I could not pick up tools from February 24, 2022, until I came to my hometown...
Hi Olha, I was wondering Is there any chance that a Brig would be in the offing as a kit anytime in the near future as you have the inside information ha ha? Btw your workmanship workwomenship never ceases to astound me. Slava ukraini
Glory to heroes! I really like brigs, but I still haven't built a single model))) But until I build everything I started and what I already have on the shelves - the brig will definitely not appear soon)))
@@OlhaBatchvarov I share your love of Brigs hence the question. When you decide to build a Brig what kit will you build as would love to build the same one along with you. Have you ever built a ship that is weathered and has the bangs and damage of many years of service. I think this aspect is sadly missing in the Model ship building world and I hassen to say getting the weathering correct is maybe harder than building the model itself Slava ukraini
You can always find what I order on Amazon in the description under the video. But what I physically buy is a bit more complicated... I just indicate what kind of product I use! Wood restoration oil can be found at any local gunsmith's shop, as can glue at any stationery or hobby store...
Of course not! The seams between the planks must be caulked so that the boat does not leak - I missed this in the construction of the model... The heating season and very dry air - made this gap twice as large)))
There is nothing more relaxing than watching 30 minutes of you working on your models with soft music in my ears.
Thank you!
Glad you like them!

Ready to sail again🙃
12 :45 you didn't make groove in this block ? Rope would not slide awkwardly then ?

Hi Olha, I'm thinking about how usefull would be for us, as information in the cage of your videos, references of the products you are using....
You can always find what I order on Amazon in the description under the video. But what I physically buy is a bit more complicated... I just indicate what kind of product I use! Wood restoration oil can be found at any local gunsmith's shop, as can glue at any stationery or hobby store...
What product is the one you use for the tree?
Turn on the subtitles - I use a lot of products there... Or specify the moment at which minute of the video?

There seem to be a gap between top board plank and other board planks. Is this how it supposed to be?
Of course not! The seams between the planks must be caulked so that the boat does not leak - I missed this in the construction of the model... The heating season and very dry air - made this gap twice as large)))
Прекрасная работа! Оля,вы не могли бы скинуть модель вашей циркульной пилы? Хотел бы приобрести...
Спасибо!
