it occurs to me that the patrick magoohan The Prisoner series {the prison of the self, perhaps?} has some interesting intersections with the nonduality 'message'...especially the final episode, where no.6 keeps repeating the word 'i' and his mask is removed. a very baffling ending is seen in a weirdly satisfying new light after coming across nonduality.
Since everything is life happening, isn't the dream of what we appear to see the contracted energy they're taking about? Our bodies, animals, nature, buildings and so forth... ?
The 'contracted energy' talked about is the felt sense of me, of being inside, of being apart. That doesn't appear like trees or animals or clouds, they're real appearances. Me is utterly illusory.. not even that.

why do all non duality meetings have flowers ?
Maybe because non-duality - Advaita Vandanta in particular, originates from Vedic teachings, and the flowers are a Hindu tradition.
