Cool man! I would have been better staying in Lake Rudee, wasted half the day searching around in Wesley. But honestly when I go fishing it's for a full day anyway, catching a limit is just a bonus, not really why I am there... The experience and just being on the water means more to me
It's cool to see a different perspective of Owls Creek and Rudee Inlet. We ride our stand up jet skis through there on our way to the ocean and we always try to keep far away from kayaks so we don't mess you guys up. I've always been curious to what y'all were catching Nice video!!
So glad to see you back out in the yak, much more interesting than the boat, I have both also and find the yak much easier than the bay boat, course you can’t go as far but most of the time I don’t need to... Thanks for sharing with us!!!
I like both... But I find the boat easier on my body. The yak is a better fishing machine when you are on the spot, but getting there and back is what sucks sometimes. The boat can be nearly as effective with practice, and you have the range and room to stretch. Plus after a day on the boat I am not nearly as sore...
Man the trout out there seem to elude me every time I go. Was out today and had about the same amount of blues you had haha. Love the videos you put out. Just recently discovered your channel glad i found it!
They definitely are! I see people leaving the ramp that have got their limit. Are they more active on incoming tide? Or am I just not doing something right haha
It’s good to see your back in VB! Not too many people fish here and there are some pretty good spots! Loved the video! Edit: I know how busy rudee has been but a lot of other places aren’t that busy!
Thanks for the comment! And what you say is true to some extent. Compared to fishing in New York it isn't that busy in VA. My buddy Elias says that up there there would be a boat on every piling along every bridge. Imagine hundreds of boaters and yakers trying to fish one body of water... That is why he moved to NC. Rudee is busy, but still even on the busiest days there are still fish to be caught. Some people will yell at you for getting too close, others will smile and say hey the fish are biting over here come try it...
great video! just moved down to VB from RVA! Can't wait to try saltwater fishing! So far im just kayak fishing at Stumpy lake, any suggestions on starter gear for saltwater fishing?
Been watching a lot of your videos recently but I can’t quite figure out where exactly you go to launch your kayak for CBBT. I see it’s by Buoy 44 but where can you park at?
Lol, it's called "organic" growth... Or "real" growth. Sadly I have learned that a lot of UA-camrs pay their way into growing their channel instead of just earning it.
There is a sand bar at the mouth but it is clearly marked so you'll miss it. No problem getting out of rudee, probably the easiest access to the ocean I have seen
I can hear it now you're going to be calling your boss I can't make it to work todayyour boss is going to be like why you're going to say I went fishing and got attacked by a speckled trout it was a traumatic experience lol
Great video! Glad to see you on the kayak again. Hope things are going well for you!
Thanks! And yes things are going great!
I got my limit of trout that morning before 8am and headed out to avoid the crowd. Good seeing you back in the kayak.

Rudee has been beyond crowded with kayakers and boaters. Def a spot for all beginners to hit up out here. Thanks for the vid. -Nauti Fish
Yes it is definitely a safe spot that any one new to the sport can go to and have some fun!
Great multi-species action! Great to see you out and catching again!
More to come!

Well thank you for being considerate and respecting what we are doing. We really appreciate it!
Great video! I just subscribed. I enjoyed your approach to fishing and your editing as well!
Thanks for the sub!

Nice!!! What do you mean by found the school of fish by trolling? As in using fish finder?
You find them by trolling and you start catching them. Then you stop and cast in that area to get them casting
Great fishing! Some good eating there. Hopefully I can pull the boat there next week.
Good luck!
Hey Jesse, why you throwing those snapper blues back? that's good eating!
Wasn't targeting them that day...
Great catches!! Those were some nice trout 👍👍👏😊
Thanks! But these were small compared to this past fall and winter catches

They can be harder to find this time of year, but they are in there

Not too many people fish here? Have you been to rudee lately?
Haha I guess 50 boats and 30 kayaks fishing one point is not too many people
It has been waaaaay too crowded for me.

great video! just moved down to VB from RVA! Can't wait to try saltwater fishing! So far im just kayak fishing at Stumpy lake, any suggestions on starter gear for saltwater fishing?
Depends on what you want to try and catch. It can vary a lot

Side of the road bud. Wherever you can...
I still don't understand why this guy dosnt have more subs. Awesome video

@@SouthernReelsFishing this is very true. Love the channel man.
Awesome fish!!!!
Thanks 👍
I got a couple trout off Sandbridge beach the last week. Ever been surf fishing?
Yo dude I live in sandbridge I usually catch a bunch bluefish and trout
GREAT VIDEO LOOKED FUN
It was!
Have you heard of a shoal at the inlet? Wanted to bring the boat down there but I read it was only 4ft at high tide.
There is a sand bar at the mouth but it is clearly marked so you'll miss it. No problem getting out of rudee, probably the easiest access to the ocean I have seen
Thanks for the info
When's the cut off date to sign up for the speck tournament in October?
There isn't one. You can even sign up during the tourney, just have to wait 48 hours before posting catches
The big chopper blues are at Cape Lookout bubba
There are some up our way too! Maybe not as plentiful
Happy to see some saltwater fish locally
More to come!
I just moved here and me and my buddy are looking for some good spots Do you have any Recommendations?
Pretty much any inlet and the entire CBBT.
Great vid! Love Rudee🙌🏽 can’t wait to get back soon. We have lots of vids there, check em out of ya are bored😜
