I had a pair of those oak bay boots before thst sucked i saw it either on instagram or facebook ordered them for work at a fast food place they took forever and ther was problems with the order process they were steel toe but not all that great or comfortable i saw this and thought they were the same kinda shoe ther not but just another not so industructable shoe then he got the cross bow out Game!

That many nails so close together distribute the weight very well and is why none of the nails went through. Same concept as a bed of nails. Looks dangerous but can be very safe

I ordered these last year! I used them for outdoor chores. They’re supposed to have Kevlar in the bottom. I stepped on the blunt side garden stake and it went STRAIGHT THROUGH the shoe and into my foot. Blood everywhere.
But I tried the next day with my cork bottomed sandals and it didn’t even break the tread.

I can think of two reasons why it could be the case:
For one, if he drives an automatic car, he only uses his right foot.
And also he could be kicking things (breaking branches for the barbecue for example) only with his right leg.

Dropped a transfer case from a half ton Chevy on my foot once the steel toe was destroyed but the worst that happened to me was it smashed my big toe and I lost the toenail. Other than that I was lucky but steel toes can save body parts.

The vibration and pain your feeling is the shock transferring into your bone which will break it if you're not careful. It doesn't take much to break a foot.
No, it's sending vibration through the steel toe in the shoe. Same thing if you hit a hammer on a piece of metal. It's not reaching bone unless he has bone exposed for some reason.
When you gradually increase the shock on your body you would certainly feel very intense pain before reaching the power required to break a bone (if you dont have osteoporosis) but he clearly dosent.
Great to see someone test these shoes out, they do make them look tough in the ads... But I thought they were marketed as being slip proof too?
They are not a real company, they are drop-shipping products from China. The original product only costs 12 - 25 bucks 🤦♂️

In Canada , safety shoes generally require a rating(CSA). No shoe that stops nails I’ve ever seen can bend like that, they have steel plates in the bottom

I legit have these "Ryder" model Indestructible shoes... And they saved my feet numerous times while working in a warehouse. The forklift ops kept breaking boards off pallets, and many times the nails would be sticking up off the board, or the head snapped off and remained standing straight up in the pallet end... After a while, I no longer had to look out for nails. The steel toe wasn't super comfy, but it saved my toes several times. The Kevlar/Rubber sole saved me from puncturing my feet, and I walked away without damaging the shoe.
I agree, the promo video is a bit "hype," but they indiscriminately protected my feet from all sides for 2 years at work.
Old job I worked at making urethane parts, we did a special sample of kevlar sheeting layered inside the rubber shoe/boot sole for one of the biggest name brands. Nothing ever came of it though.

I've heard that steel toes are dangerous because the metal could bend and the backend of the steel toe can slice off your toes and since it would create a casing that blocks access to your toes, your chance of getting them stitched back on are low. I would like to see Tyler attempt to recreate this by putting a fruit in a shoe or something and seeing if its possible to bend the back end of a steel toe to act as a knife thing. Also, shooting that crossbow and seeing debris fly directly at Tylers face was really worrying, and I hope he wears safety goggles in the future when shooting hard objects especially, and I'm not normally the safety obsessed type. Don't want him getting blinded by an arrowhead getting richocheted.

Tyler thank you for this video. I think it is the universe at work. I am currently planning a hot air balloon journey over an area who's people are known to carry crossbows. I was looking for a pair of safety shoes to use on trip, and this was a brand I had been looking at.
The center would actually be more reinforced due to the support of the arch. There's usually a small shank of material inside that adds structure.
I was surprised the steel toe has no bottom, i imagine if something heavy falls on your toes it would just crush them on the sole

For those who can't think of anything equivalent to two and a half pounds, dropping a big bottle of soap onto your toe from the shower shelf is pretty close.
Fun fact. Steel toes don't exist to protect your toes from damage, they actually exist for when heavy enough pressure is applied the steel plate cuts your toes off cleanly. This is so they can surgically reattached easier.

Thanks for doing this video these are my shoes im on my secound pair normal use of these shoes wich based on a normal life of a truck driver is just over a year at the end of the first year my decision to replace the shoes was only based on the prior pair of shoes sole coming loose of the fabric along with the steel toe they take bout 2 days to get use to the new shoe feeling that these give you but like i said being a trucker after a year glue wore off fabric ripped Nothing ever went through the toes or sole its not a good winter shoe at first because the fabric is just a mesh you can put a flash light in it and see through the shoe but all in all the $25 I paid for them on amazon and year or more of use is really good deal for me most Walmart shoes for $20 only last 3 or 4 months for me

I bought a pair of these last summer. Not only were they super indomitable after a few weeks of daily use on the job but they literally fell apart. The cloth mesh making up most of the shoe rips and tears on everything.

If anyone is thinking about possibly buying some of these just go on ebay and search steel toe shoes, and look through the results. "Indestructible" shoes are actually just a generic chinese steel toe shoe that the company buys in bulk and then sell to the customer for more $... your basically paying an extra $40-50 for the box (which is also cheap).

After a while of using them at my job, they became MUCH easier to penetrate then any other show I've ever worn for MUCH longer periods of time.
You should pour some automatic transmission fluid on that rubber and see how "indestructible" that jelly style rubber isn't.

Here's the thing when you are pushing the nail into the shoe. You are leaning your weight on the shoe, plus you are pushing on the shoe.
Which means alot of pressure, probably more pressure than you stepping on it
i stepped on a nail when i was a little kid and let me tell you, that is one thing i will never forget. It went almost completely through my foot. Sometimes when I walk it feels like my foot rips open at the same spot. Permanent nerve damage. I am now overly cautious when walking around wooden boards.

The nail went through but it was very difficult. I feel like whatever is in there gives you some protection and allows you to react before it completely punctures the shoe.
