Most stabbings are committed with kitchen knives because those are usually the most accessible weapons during domestic altercations, which is when most stabbings occur.

The cheap aluminium disposable BBQ's mesh works if you put 4 together.
      Makes a good strike plate,
      Lightweight chainmail.
This is coming from someone who saved your President Joe Biden from a Knife attack in Scotland.
And defended himself from Chris Hemsworths (thor) knife attack.... In Scotland
I also got stabbed in the Breast plate by a local Children of the Cult member.... No damage except a wee cut ??
all attacks where orchestrated by Scottish Paedophile police officer Sam Brown.
Who has ties with Hillary Clinton and Epstein Island.
      Fun fact

Yeah I am guessing that when he thinks of stabbings he thinks of muggings and totally forgets that DV can turn into extremely dangerous situations and that most stabbings are actually a result of either a DV attack or self defense in a DV situation because stabbings from strangers is extremely rare in comparison because most of the time unprovoked attacks the person is just trying to get money for their addiction and don't actually want to hurt anyone other than stealing in order to fund their addiction. Sure you can have someone get angry at a stranger and attack them but in comparison to DV situations that is extremely rare.
I managed to get help for my DV situation early enough in the DV that mine never escalated to those levels of dangerous, but seeing as my wife physically harmed our daughter in order to hurt me it wasn't really a question of if it would get dangerous but rather a question of when it would get dangerous. After that attack and after she had consequences for her actions of having CPS get involved she did end up starting going to therapy and while I will never be able to trust that our relationship would ever be safe again she is at least improving for our daughters sake, we still can not live in the same household without her risking having her emotions get back to those unsafe levels because, to be fair to her, trying to manage emotions while trying to have a relationship with someone whom you married when you viewed them as a 'normal' man but then after that person dealt with cancer realized that they are trans and later doctors suggested that I have undiagnosed autism on top of all the trauma and so someone who was good at masking when they were in a constant state of depression but has been less and less able to mask when finally learning how to have emotions when accepting I am trans I can totally understand how if you signed up for "normal man" and you end up getting "autistic trans woman" instead how it could be hard for her to manage her emotions in a safe and healthy way. But so long as we are in separate houses to avoid my traits triggering her unsafe emotions we can at least both co parent where our daughter feels safe. But a lot of times most DV victims don't get that same type of warning window because they are going from having self worth and happy to having their self worth stolen from them and depressed, where as I had no self worth going in and only started learning it as I dealt with my dysphoria which reduced my depression that allowed me to gain feelings in a situation that most victims have their feelings stolen away from them, so in a weird bazar way cancer and gender dysphoria two things that end many peoples lives ended up saving my life instead.

As someone that uses cut resistant gloves in a factory setting daily, that look like the same kind of fabric, (note, they say cut resistant, not cut proof), i do feel the urge to point out that those are not designed to to literally prevent a slice with a sharp knife.
They are designed to prevent you from cutting your entire hand open of a box cutter slips. Or in my case, to safely handle metal with sharp edges.
This is much the same as 'testing' a hardhat by dropping an anvil on it. (Though it is entertaining to see, which is the point, i do get that.)

Having spent a lot of time testing paper as armour, I know it is very good at protecting from knives etc. I would say that magazines have disadvantages too. They tend to be the wrong shape and size to fit around a body, they have sharp corners that dig in when moving, and they have a spine, which limits how they bend. The type of paper makes a huge difference too, and paper doesn't drape or fold like a fabric. Once you work around these problems, a full vest is surprisingly practical.

    • @another3997
      @another3997 11 місяців тому

Firstly, standard Kevlar ballistic fabric isn't great against sharp, pointed blades, which is why Dupont developed a special version for such situations. Secondly, it's just as likely to be made from some form of UHMWPE. Whilst woven fabric can be used, it's usually a dense felt or unidirectional, non woven fibre sheets. Thirdly, stopping bullets is very different to stopping blades, and manufacturers have to specifically design for one or both, and they test and rate them separately on each piece of armour.

For most of these it looks like as long as you’re not getting a direct impact, the worst you’re getting is some shallow wounds. Which is better than getting fully gored.

Safelife makes a level 3A+ vest that is really good at being stab proof. You can buy the side panels for under 100.00 same material as the vest just hundreds cheaper. You should try this out. You can use picked hammers, cross bow, regular bow and other things. It would be interesting to see what it can stop.
