This makes me happy to see the fun... and especially the kindness between you and Mr. Dupree. I wish he was still with us. Seeing this brings comfort. Thank you, Elliott.
Holy crap! This has made my day! Been a fan of Cornell since 1969. He was the greatest. Everyone plays really well here. Thank you so much for this one.
Great reworking of The Mar-Keys "Last Night". That's the song which put Stax on the map. It was Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn's first band before Booker T and the MG's.
Both these gentlemen played on Laura Nyro LP's. And Elliott attended the Manhattan High School of Music and Art in Harlem with Laura where apparently they used to sing harmony songs together.
same "guy" in the middle - his Strat still has his old effects pedal - replaced by new modern version - same great soulful licks. We all miss Cornell - he did leave us with a great body of work and many many guitarist influenced by his tasty playing. I believe this is a Star Licks instructional video. Nice bunch of guys to assist in your instructional video. If it's the one I am thinking of...it brought back some CPI and a quaint bungalow on the banks of the River Hog??? Just a joke Son!
Cornell and Elliot Randal, that's a pretty monstrous duo.

Super cool! Great rhythm work 'around' the horn stabs.
