I've watched this video a few times. Chris is a great speaker and this chat was pure gold. Entertaining, relevant, informative and educational all at the same time.
would have been good if you had subtitles so we could see what the audience was saying when they asked questions, but other than that as a young property investor in Adelaide I found this very useful and gave me a lot to think about
Great work Chris Gray. Not even sure how I got here, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am mad on property and have seen plenty of speakers over the years, but yours was a light bulb moment. It states 2012 this was posted, I am sure you have had a great ride since then given the Sydney boom, well done.
This is an awesome video Chris! Could I ask how to maintain such a large portfolio? I have a growing portfolio and all the paperwork is a hassle and it's hard to know exactly where I am at at any point. Some advice her would be appreciated.
Sorry for the delay, your comment got held for review unfortunately. I delegate it all to property managers and then have a simple excel sheet where I double check the rent comes in and mortgage goes out every month. All of my rental statements get saved to dropbox and then it's easy for my accountant to prepare the annual return. All the bank accounts are automatically downloaded via zero. So I think it takes me maybe an hour a month at most for 13 properties
Brilliant stuff! I'm going to watch it again as the concept is a little overwhelming to grasp all at once... I'm up to 4 properties and have done really well with renovating and reselling... thanx heaps for up loading this talk.
Thanks heaps Chris! I've downloaded the audio to my iTunes and listening to it while I'm working. I really appreciate your story as I think we have similar backgrounds with regards to what our parents told us about debt.
Think Rich and you will get rich ??? As a UK investor I started of with one tiny flat in 1982 when I was 24 I achived my goal not to work for a living by aged 40 You can do it but it takes effort and I can do IT in your head every day If you really want Money you need to think about nothing other than money It all comes down to you as a person its not for everyone One other thing you don't need to spend money on courses you will find lots of info for free online and utube ofcourse
Hi Chris, I am a big fan of property investment books from authors like Michael yardney, Dale beaumont and Margaret Lomas. I also value knowledge from experts like Andrew Wilson, Ben kingsley, Bryce holdaway, Nathan Birch and yourself. Can you suggest any other valuable learning resources to further my knowledge in the area property investing? I am particularly interested in knowledge that will help me to implement your buy, hold and live off the equity strategy. Regards,
Sorry for the delay, your comment got held for review unfortunately. I would go and buy every book in the bookstore even if it's the completely opposite strategy as it will round off your education and re-affirm what you like and what you don't like. The cost of books is tiny compared to some of the seminar and mentoring costs and so it's a really good start. A lot of our mentalities are the same even if our strategies are different and that makes up 90% of investing (mindset)
Goodness you are good at maths..almost too quick actually. For dummies like me..so you rent out where poss., then remortgage 1 property to pay any tax or outstanding mortgage - is that right? I have a question and really need some advice. I have £66k (from my first property project); however unlike you, I just can't seem to get a job; what is the best property 'move' to make .. without the help of a mortgage. ? I am completely stuck - really need some advice from an expert as nobody to ask. Tania in the U.K. Thank you!
+Chris Gray ok well I got you then but I'm totally different I will like to do it myself hands on cause I learn better when I do it on my own and getting taught knowledge at the same time I'm going through the process..so I will be glad if you can coach me, I will put in all the time that necessary and more just to reach an expert level in real estate and still wouldn't stop then but so how do I contact your office so we can talk. Thanks
