I am from the Eastern culture, from İstanbul. It's not so different than the Western cultures. For example, the peace and the forgiveness feelings are just the same.People don't want yo go back to the Earth but they are said "You have things to do on Earth and you must go back".One of our celebrities shared it on UA-cam.She is called Esra Oflaz Güvenkaya

I believe that may because it's something we agreed too, before coming into a body. I don't know for sure of course but it makes sense. Why maybe reincarnation exists. We agreed to come here and fulfil something we agreed with and if we leave early (Murder, suicide, accidents...) We are reincarnated.

At the age of five or six I drowned in creek. Breathing in the water was painless, I was instantly out of the body without a care. Suddenly having enhanced vision, and amazingly aware of everything around me, a man appeared wearing what looked like a dark bathrobe which I found strange.
We were speaking telepathically, and gave me the opportunity to go with him. He also showed me the hardships my family would experience with my body's passing. Not wishing to bring such pain on my family, I went back into the body instantly.
There was no bright light, no angelic, winged creatures, nor was there heavenly music playing. But later on, I was reading something about childrens' NDEs and realized the man in the robe was St. Francis.

Breathing in water may have been painless to you but there is a period of pain and that’s when your lungs feel like they’re on fire before you go unconscious from lack of oxygen. Something I’ve experienced first hand.

The reason for the darkness is because you didn't travel to the astral plane you were in a place held what they call limbo and your spirit-guide be it Saint Francis came and reassured you and comforted you will probably meet him again to your journey back home. May God bless you on your journey 🙏

I'd love to see someone put out a book that compiles the most recent studies on NDEs in relation to culture, among other factors, such as age, gender, etc. So much of what I see are UA-cam interviews or books by individuals on their personal experience, or references to the Moody work and other works that seem dated. I'm hoping to read research-oriented publications more up to date that flesh out some of the things Dr. Rast discusses here.

I had a very strong dream warning me of my Grand Mother's passing even thought I lived in California and her in Morocco . I was not close to her . The people passing the message in the dream were dressed as the ancient Moroccan People . I was Very surprised about that aspect . So listening to You on the Cultural differences was quiet sparkly to Me . I thank you for this interesting interview. This had happened to me in the early 90's . I also am quiet taken by the telepathic aspect of communication in NDE. Since very young i had this very strong feeling of communication. I fo not know why . It seemed natural

I was watching a documentary about Vietnam they interviewed a Vietnamese soldier who said , he thought he tripped and when he arose there was a big White House in front of him, “he had actually been shot”, he concluded he was in heaven,he went inside and there was a huge table with food on it and he knew if he had eaten some food he would not be able to return, so he refused and returned. This seems like these experiences are tailored to the individual and culture,

I've always been very curious about how other cultures experience NDE's....somehow I don't think they'd see beings with long white robes or cathedral type buildings that are a part of western culture. I've not been able to find too much published research, or even just first hand stories online, so am really looking forward to this video.

good point, but i listen to alot of NDE's and not too too many of them actually do talk about robes and roman structures, yea a few do say the hall of records looks like that and a few see Jesus, but for the most part it sounds purely spiritual. unless it's on a christian based channel, then i take those accounts with a grain of salt because there is too much dogma

Btw, that Japanese film Dr. Eberhard mentioned is called "After Life". ✨
This a was fascinating interview! Now I hope to hear more about international NDEs. ✨🌙🌈
If I may, please, because it reminded me of cultural differences in these very important events: the 2010 Brazilian film 'Nosso Lar' ('Astral City' w/ English subtitles) was taken from the famous medium Chico Xavier. His spirit guide gave his account of his crossing over and subsequent experiences beyond where NDEs can go, obviously.
A striking aspect of screenplay are the characteristics that overlapped with afterlife reports from other renowned international mediums. And ALL of it was written long before the internet. In other words, the experiencers had no way to compare accounts.
These differences in NDEs - west vs east and along cultural lines - make perfect sense.
In that vein, the NDE I had at 4 was very different from the one I had at 19. What they had in common was a feeling of love so immense that it almost needs another name.
The main trait that NDEs share is the fact that we all came back - lived to tell the tale.
    Blessings to all.
    🌍🍃🦋🔭🌙✨💙🙏

There vocabulary , culture, memory , etc.. would have an impact on how they describe what there NDE experience was. In my opinion there are probably more things in common with NDEs across all cultures. It’s just how each individual uses there own vocabulary, education, and, cultural bias to describe them.

After years of having Out of Body Experiences I am fairly certain that consciousness is "non-local", namely, it is somehow part of AND separate to the body. Consciousness and the brain seem to be integral components to one another, and yet I feel the true essence of consciousness (pure consciousness to so speak) is MORE than the brain and is somehow connected to the universe. I also think there are MANY altered states of consciousness. I don't believe there are "other worlds" as such, but it's more to do with other levels of existence which consciousness somehow becomes part of. I think consciousness is infinite. I do not think it's as simple as saying Neuron produces Awareness and that's it. That doesn't add up to me. The only things I am baffled about is why we seem to have no recollection of "pre-birth" life, and why people who have anaesthesia appear to go into oblivion. Saying that, I know people who have had anaesthesia and their consciousness has actually expanded, and left the body. Very strange and mysterious. My gut feeling is we won't understand it until we die, and until consciousness is "released".

I "astral project" myself. Question. Can you observe real world things out of body that there is no way you could know? I cannot, and I'm pretty sure neither you or anyone else cam either. That in and of itself raises serious questions about the idea of "non local" consciousness

    • @homme436
      @homme436 8 місяців тому

That's a Buddhist view. Although I am a Christian. I think NDEs do not tell the whole view of the after life world. Those NDErs will encounter different experiences when they die.

@@geoffreyporter530there many stories where people can relate things they saw while out of body. A.big part of ndes stories have such confirmation. You just should understand that the astral world is a very controlled space and that can be used for us mostly to spiritual growth and not for scientific investigation. If you have a very pro experimental mindset probably your experiences are being restricted by others at the other side

I try to console myself with the experience done at Virginia University where NDErs are subjected to a lie detector and shown death signaling image like snakes etc...The experiencers dont show any signs of anxiety and fear. It makes sense to draw from our own physical experience to try to comprehend and express, a non physical experience such as an NDE. Maybe it would be like trying to describe a smell to someone who cant smell, or a color to someone who has never seen. I assume what you would get are descriptions relating to what best represents what you are trying to describe. Maybe a person trying to describe the smell of smoke to someone without a sense of smell may say heat, becuse they relate it to fire, whereas another may describe smoke as the fire itself, both are relating smoke to fire, one uses heat instead, the other is more literal and uses fire. Fire is not the only option to relate smoke to, nonetheless, no option is actually a representation of smell. This is where I see many limitations to our communication and expression of non physical experience when observing different cultural discriptions. I most certainly believe our physical representation of a non physical experience is incomprehensible. Do I belive NDE experiencees are providing their experience? Yes. Do I belive it is a true expression of what they experienced? not even remotely. What is facinating is the experience in and of itself. The commonality that it happens, and has been happening speaks. I enjoyed the video.

An NDE has to be tailored to the experiencer because the spirit must choose the correct language to communicate with. They also choose to greet us in a human body instead of a body from another planet. But I am curious if Mohamed greets those of the Islam faith with same frequency that Jesus greets Westerners?

Not remembering or even telling every detail about peoples NDE does not say they did not experience them. They just did not remember or they do think they are not relevant. Because they have to translate their 4D experience into a 3D story, they have to do that, of course, with the symbols of their culture.

Why I believe most peoples of faith and cultures (Atheists, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Hindu's...) see the figures/people that they do. (Jesus, Mohmand, Buddha, Mom & Dad or Family...) They're there to comfort them before getting set back. The hellish/negative experiences may be the FEAR one caries over from there conditioning from what they been taught, but soon find out they are shown the power of their 'Free Will' and they choose to get sent back. If one actually had a hellish experience, you think Satan, the Devil would let you go? I believe NDE's/Past life experiences are showing humanity the real truth of this life. Religion has it all wrong.
