TREMENDOUSLY helpful! This is the best video about eBay I've seen so far! Thank you for sharing this. I'm a bookkeeper and you explained everything so well. I love your videos. My husband and I watch your channel.
I really like your channel. You provide great info for newer sellers like myself and I'm just starting to learn just how important sell through rate is. So far I've been lucky and my items I've sourced (before I had a clue about sell through rate) have sold consistently. Some still hang around longer than I want but I'm learning every day thanks to folks like yourself.
Yep I had to do the undercut because I bought a large lot of car emblems. I was finding stuff with no solds until I went into product research and found sellers charging 3x of what it sold for 2 years ago. Sold a bunch to other resellers
This is really helpful cuz I inherited things that are costing me money to hold on to so as I get this geared up it will help me to decide pricing based on the sell through Rate, how long it's going to take to sell versus a lower price so I don't have to hold on to it for the rest of my life LOL thank you much this was great. I learned more from you in this one video about making good selling decisions then I have from a lot of different eBay UA-camrs I've watched thanks
Good video. So many ways to do this. You can do the opposite and get the number of days until you item should sell. Days= (listed/sold)*90 Days = (408/990)*90 and you will get 37 days until your item should sell.
100% sell through rate means it'll sell ***ON AVERAGE*** in 90 days. If you listing is better priced it might sell faster, if it's worse in some way it might never sell. Averages and STR are good for planning but don't think of them as surefire mathematical certainties.
@SecondChancePicker, good question. The main thing I focused on was the price. I undercut it. Having good quality photo I'm sure helped the ton as well
Yeah I have also found that price works well to increase STR as long as your COGs is low enough. I'm glad that strategy is working for you! Thank you for watching 🤟
@@SecondChancePicker great video I took notes. The Product research tool is very inconsistent it told me 32% for a 2 word search brand, model number I cross checked with the same words on eBay search filters and got 69.64%

RUBBISH! You can have the best sell though rate items in the world but if Ebay is not showing your item you aint going to be selling anything. So your sell though rate chart is bogus. Its only an approximation. Nothing is set in stone and its up to Ebay NOT YOU or your sell though rate theory as to IF you are going to sell anything. Just to be clear.

I've sold items that have 2% sale through rate within 90 days
Awesome. What made your listing stand out over the others to sell so quick? Price? Condition? Listing quality?

@@SecondChancePicker yes 100% for sure on the COGs! It helps a ton!
I’m finding that product research tool is basically useless.
Why? I find it really helpful for rare products and seasonal information

Yeah I agree, the numbers it gives your aren't the most accurate but it can help with certian long term history of items. Thank you for watching 🤟
@@SecondChancePicker This was very helpful STR is everything
200% str will sell in 45 days
100% 90 days
50% 6 months
25% 1 year
10% 2 .5 years

No one has trouble selling a iPhone 16 for market price on ebay right now because that product is in demand. Thank you for watching 🤟
Found the coffee mug seller 😂
