Jocelyn if you ever find Lenox Coronado place setting, serving platters and bowls grab them. They are worth a good amount. Bought my 12 piece set at Goodwill for 35$. Broke the turkey platter and 200$ on eBay was a surprise to me.
The Indian Tree plates were by H.Williamson & Sons, mid-to-late 19thC. Replacements has a record of the pattern but no record of it as a plate - couldn't find any online either so I guess that means they're a very rare maker of that pattern? Either way I would've grabbed them but I'm one of those 'let it sit' dealers.
Bonnie mentioned how to say that word on the F&F box (cana 6 I thought I'd tell ya what it refers to: "A canapé is a small, decorative appetizer that's often eaten in one bite. It's made from a small piece of bread or cracker topped with a savory spread and other toppings. The spread can be savory, sweet, or herb-flavored, and the toppings can include meat, cheese, nuts, fruits, or vegetables." Cute plate, too.
Wow! The background music was wild-ethnic, jazz, classical piano, oldies, theatrical, etc. The unexpected range of tunes and your humor were fun. You found some beautiful plates.
Omg I loved that yellow readware bowl and lid in the first goodwill I died a little inside when you left it behind. Had to lol when you said the pitcher had a wee bit of damage 😂 you could drive a truck through that damage
Shopping at the outlet store is always awesome how many goodies and things definitely not just fruit, which by the way is delicious. Fruit cotlets -love them or hate them?😅
You are such a joy to watch! Thank you for doing what you do so we can learn and thoroughly enjoy your labors! I haven’t seen Andrew for a while - I hope he is healthy and doing great! ❤
Harry and David is a mail order company people use to send fruit and nut baskets, candy baskets, just gifts. They did have brick and mortar stores and like Swiss colony popped up in malls sometimes too.
More recent F&F are not great sellers, the older more unique pieces I find sell much better. The trick is turning a piece over and being surprised it is F&F.
To save you a bit of time, the pottery company where the "Tis the Season" mug is made is in Gatlinburg, TN. I bought my favorite winter mug there many moons ago!
I think that you have a Per Lutken Homegaard-style bowl. It's hard to authenticate them because they are not signed and Ikea also did a run of them. I have one listed as well. Let me know if you have extra info. Thanks:)
I always wondered if you get items with decent chips especially in the front, is is it going to sell for enough to make up for the chip and lower price plus fees to sell? Do you sell a lot of chipped items you find? Here folks are super picky and don't want to buy them even on online marketplace. Also seems like Fitz and Floyd is not as good selling price wise as 5-8 years ago. I love them though.
I think all the shelves would be empty if they didn't include the chipped and cracked items. That's crazy they put that stuff out. That's why I never go to Goodwill. That, and the fact they are a greedy company.
They do actually sell cookies, candy, and other fruit too! I've sent gift boxes from there to many people over the years. But I think you may be right that they are famous for their pears! 🍐
Just curious, what is the farthest that you would drive from home or the shop to go thrifting in a particular day? It seems that you go to several different states and I am amazed!❤
A lot of times she goes to eBay and changes the filter to sold to see what a recent sold price is … in the filters you have to scroll a bit to find it..
Juliette was in a recent video if you didn’t see it. With that said, I think strangers asking to see other people’s children is a bit creepy. CLL shares her family now and then but she’s not in the business of serving up her kids for viewers. She’s here to share her business.
Not creepy asking about the kids. It's nice to see that they too are interested in there mom's business, plus she doesn't mention or see her husband in any video
She passed on several damaged pieces. 🤷♀️ I love that she finds some pieces worthy of saving despite the damage. I feel the same way. Everything in my life doesn’t have to perfect.
Just to the right of the chipped ovenware was a lime green oval baking dish that is Le cruset. I know because I own one just like it!
That shrimp bowl was Vietri Italian pottery.
Can a pay.... canape. Love that French word. Their food words even sound beautiful 😊
I'm glad you rescued the piece from Norway...someone will love her!

I’ve had a similar popcorn bowl for over 30 years. We got it at a pottery place in Canton Texas.
You could a misfit item sale. I personally don’t mind chips if it is a beautiful or unusual item.

Hi from 🇬🇧. I have that exact jug/ewer from Norway. My parents brought it back for me after a trip to Norway 50 years ago!😊
I loved that!

The giraffe has a baby that is looking up at the mom, and their noses touch. I have the pair and I love them.
My mother has had the DRU casserole in blue since I was a child, and I am 67 yrs old. Many chickens cooked perfectly in that casserole .
That was funny, looking at that yellow casserole dish saying "what's for dinner?" Pikachu!! Ha

Geez those prices are ridiculous. Especially when everything is broken.

I collect dru from Holland- love cooking with them= have collected for at least 35 years- those where in rough shape
The Indian tree that you want to keep an eye open for is Coalport.

You got a belly laugh out of me for that one just Pikachu that’s funny
And the bag of carnage right after!
Harry and David do sell fruit, they also do cheesecake, cookies and so much more
They make very convincing of vessles too!

That good will is expensive oh wait they all are lol such nice stuff though.😁😁😁
The yellow pot is too hard to pass up! I would get it just as a piece of art

My favorite mug is from Alewine in Gatlinburg.
@@janettomlinson3056 will check that out!!!
I was just there during the hurricane!! I managed to get to the Alewine Pottery….loved it!!

I like that pot too but would have to know if any lead content

Gettysbrew as in Gettysburg. You don't think Drew would like that?
He doesn’t drink, so that would be a weird gift. 😅
