I understand perfectly the heat from the fire and not enjoying watching it..And thinking of all the things that were lost in the fire..Needing to be replaced afterwards...After we had a house fire..Thank you for the video..Have a blessed day..
Hello Donna and Dean .I am glade to see you are just about to get your replacment truck . I know how you are feeling after a fire . We lost our home to a fire in 2000 .You will hurt for awhile but everything will return as you work toward a normal week . Take care ,we are hoping for the best for you both . Peace .
I have been through a fire before and i know that feeling of loss that comes with it having lost everything that was important to me.Somethings can't be replaced and are gone forever but we still have those memories and that can't be lost to us.I hope things will get back to normal for you quickly and i am sure they will, best wishes.
It’s perfectly normal to mourn the loss of your life’s belongings. I have confidence you will get through this and come out better on the other side. Give it some time. My heart goes out to you. Why is it always the good one’s that get hurt???? You are such a kind and generous couple. Life’s puzzles, I guess. Best to you.
GoPro will probably give you a new one and use that for advertising. "Our cameras are so good they even work after a fire. I still am glad you at home when it burned. Anxious to see the new truck.
You have your health, your pooch and you're you were lucky enough to not be sleeping inside it when the fire occurred... Safe Journeys, good luck and in time this will be a memorable event that you'll move past... ps: Contact GoPro about the camera and tell them the story, they may replace it for the publicity alone...
When you get settled, maybe shoot a video of all your possessions in the rig. Then take the file and store it at the house. Visversa the homestead. Keep it in the truck. Just a thought.
It is now March 2021. Praying you are back to normal. Just saw 2 of your early videos, so don't know if you found out a cause. If not arson, would suspect electrical short or unprotected circuit.
I'm interested to know if insurance will cover the extra stuff? Thankfully it's only material items that it can be replaced and it didn't explode and hurt anyone. Sorry for the loss.
Glad you guys are OK..love your channel and hope you move forward. Also, great camera..you should reach out to maker regarding sponsorship to get new ones. Free advertising for them on how durable their cameras are. Be well and keep on trucking.
Get renters insurance. It will cover everything in your truck. Best of all it’s not costly for it. Sorry for your loss it’s a pain. Good luck on your future endeavors.
I never had a fire, I owned 6 Petes, every time I changed it amazed me how much I had in a truck, pull toy here good luck with the new truck pull toy here
When it gone up in flames nothing you could have done.. Being on a fire dept and work some fire like that it freaking burns very very hot!! That was you're house some people don't realize it.. I would almost send GoPro a email with that cam story.. Shows how good their stuff is..
Well I no it’s easy to say for people that has not been in your situation just to say it can be replaced but is the sentimental value of everything so yeah I feel for you two for going through with it , it just takes the time now just to gather all that was in your truck, so now just remember what you had and get bigger and better; have fun getting it all rounded back up keep smiling
just glad you two are safe things can be replaced you both it will take a while before you can sleep in new truck with out wearing about a fire be safe
You'll get out there trailer truckin, buying new upgrade goodies to replace the lost stuff and it'll be an all new adventure. This is just a stepping stone... So, I'm riding shotgun with you guys...tap your feet to the rock and roll beat, lookin ever so neat in the low rider seat! Let's go truckin...🧙♂️
I can emphasize with you guys, I had my house burn down late one night and had to start almost over from scratch. was very little that was able to be saved, but at least my car was good to go. My first thought was huh wonder where God wants me to go now.
Sounds like things are getting sorted, glad to hear! Cant wait to see you guys back on the road where you belong! Stay safe! :) Hope you got some fire alarms in the truck, atleast 9000 of them! :| I only have two in my appartment... :< Bedroom and hallway!
I just found you guys so I am a little late but that said, I am sorry about your truck but I am glad you are ok.. Things can be replaced which is a good thing... I agree there is nothing funny about losing your truck even thou it was a company because that truck made you money so you can be able to support your family..
You may do this already. Get a smoke alarm and a carbon monoxide detector for the truck. Cheap insurance, if you are asleep and the thing catches fire.
Hey Dean, for what it's worth, my homeowner's insurance covers all personal items in the truck even as a company driver. I specifically ask about this anytime I change insurances. Also, unrelated but I just thought I'd let y'all know that I left Hummer back in December so I probably won't see you guys around anymore.
I think, you are very lucky not to have been sleeping in the truck, this easily could be a memorial video. Just a day or two either way. Take care, Rambling & P. L.
Awesome I graduate in 5 weeks from scc in lincoln ne. Your videos and the way you describe hummer makes it a company I definetly would like to look into.
I called Hummer about getting a job. I received my CDL in October 2019, and I am from Ohio. I ask Hummer about getting hired and they said they do hire recent grads, but only from select States, and Ohio was not one of them. From their web site, it looks like they have a very good training program. I would say, give them a call.
You ought to send a copy of this video to "GoPro", might get you a replacement cam. Really surprised it took all the hEAT from the fire & still works. ;-)
Take solace that you both are OK. Take some of the commenters with a grain of salt. They have no clue. There was nothing that anyone could have done by the time it was discovered. Most items can be replaced, even though it is a hassle. Hummer sounds like a great place to work. I hope they give you get a truck that is "Team Friendly". For peace of mind get a smoke detector. Good luck and Safe Travels!!
Well you now have 1st hand experience & watch just how fast these trucks can be fully engulfed in fire Shocking quickly. Could be lot worst. But all these sleeper units need a safe secure way to escape & not trapped in back of sleeper unit part. These truck stops need lot more security. It's forcefully over security trap your self tying both doors shut or have intruders come in on you. I keep razor knife to quickly cut tie straps.
Sorry about all the insensitive comments that the trolls feel they have to make. Time takes care of everything, and in 6 months it will feel like just a horrible memory. Sadly, there are few things less reliable and frustrating than the first two weeks of a brand new truck. Best of luck going forward.
Unless you’ve been in a similar situation, you don’t understand what it’s like. The truck is your home, and when the reality of losing everything finally hits you, it’s shocking, to say the least. Trying to do a mental inventory os everything is mind boggling. Then, once you start actually replacing the items you do know you’ll need, the cost adds up quicker than you can comprehend. You’ll remember things when you go to reach for it, and it’s not there, that really sucks. Good luck to you both, I’m pulling for you.
I understand perfectly the heat from the fire and not enjoying watching it..And thinking of all the things that were lost in the fire..Needing to be replaced afterwards...After we had a house fire..Thank you for the video..Have a blessed day..

You guys are just being real, feeling just like any of us would feel! That’s why we love you two! May Gods blessings be poured upon your household!!
Good to know u2 are back on ur feet. Kudus.
Sorry for your loss. It's the little things you accumulate over time a little at a time, is so expensive to try to replace all at once.
I have been through a fire before and i know that feeling of loss that comes with it having lost everything that was important to me.Somethings can't be replaced and are gone forever but we still have those memories and that can't be lost to us.I hope things will get back to normal for you quickly and i am sure they will, best wishes.

Happy to hear that things are working out for you.
So sorry for your loss. As a new driver that loss is just devastating. Hope you guys can recover quickly emotionally from this devastation
New viewer here; you guys are quality people. Subbed.
Glad to have ya 👍

Thanks for the update, I have been thinking about you two. Good going Go-Pro
Great to see that your are coming back with the videos and stories...........................
It is now March 2021. Praying you are back to normal. Just saw 2 of your early videos, so don't know if you found out a cause. If not arson, would suspect electrical short or unprotected circuit.
charger cables, etc - fairly priced on Amazon & if your a PRIME member you can get it, usually, in 2 days + free shipping
GoPro should pay you guys to make an ad for them -- what a story
That’s a bummer but a new truck is nice. ❤️
No really, that’s why they went back to an older truck. Because the new ones are annoying
I'm interested to know if insurance will cover the extra stuff? Thankfully it's only material items that it can be replaced and it didn't explode and hurt anyone. Sorry for the loss.
Their insurance did not cover our things, but the owner did step up and helped us out. 👍
Glad you guys are OK..love your channel and hope you move forward. Also, great camera..you should reach out to maker regarding sponsorship to get new ones. Free advertising for them on how durable their cameras are. Be well and keep on trucking.

You're correct. Extreme heat. And I've heard I should contact gopro from lots of people. Lol
Don't worry about the new truck burning. How many trucks are on the road , and how many do you see burn without being in an accident.
Cost a ton of money to replace all your stuff. Hope it works out well for you folks.
Can you imagine the Aguish that many folks go through on a Daily basis when they Lose their Entire Home and all of it’s Contents.
Can't you send the gopro back to them? I think they have an upgrade for things like this
o both sound very good
Hotlogic is the BOMB! They sent me a replacement for the units I bought that did not work!
I’m very sorry for your loss.
just glad you two are safe things can be replaced you both it will take a while before you can sleep in new truck with out wearing about a fire be safe

Really sad I hope things get better, good luck to both of you.
Any idea what caused the fire? Understood about the loss of personal items that have sentimental value.
They believe the alternator seized up while it was running on autostart
I can emphasize with you guys, I had my house burn down late one night and had to start almost over from scratch. was very little that was able to be saved, but at least my car was good to go. My first thought was huh wonder where God wants me to go now.

Welcome Anthony and thank you for the condolences.

That Go Pro is a beast 💪! Hot Logic 🔥
Yes it is! Lol 💪
You may do this already.

Let's go Truckin...
Did Donna change her hair. Looking
Good like those glasses.
Nope. Didn't change anything. 😊
What was the cause of the fire do you know, just curious if firefighters said.
Probably a stupid question but being company drivers their truck caught on fire do you get some of reimbursement from Hummer?
They are not liable, but they did step up and help us. 👍
@@TruckingwithDoubleDs That’s good!! I stopped in there a few weeks ago to see everyone!! Miss them all still! Sorry guys!! Still sending prayers!!
I think, you are very lucky not to have been sleeping in the truck, this easily could be a memorial video. Just a day or two either way. Take care, Rambling & P. L.

Any of your personal belongings are covered by your home insurance , correct? That's assuming you have home insurance.
At least you get a new truck
Yes Your Truck Is Like Your Second Home But Did You Find Out Why What Happen But Thanks For The Video
Glad you guys were okay. We are a team also so we understand what you lost . Man so sorry. Did they ever say what was the cause.
Did they find the cause of the fire?
I believe they think it was possibly the alternator
You need to reach out to GoPro and share the story and the footage of the fire. Unbelievable.
Sorry for the B.S. Hummer sounds like a good company backing you up. Battle on road warriors.
So no insurance covers your stuff not even hummers insurance
Their insurance doesn't cover our things, but they have offered to help us. 👍
Personal effects policy I think it is called.

We are so sorry to here and see what happened to your truck we was talking you should talk with GoPro about your camera
hi hope u r doing ok
i bet that truck had a battery cable that rubbed through to burn like that
i would get another one of the same brand
Are u sure a Niebor did that arson
What could of started the fire.
That's the first thing I thought. I would think there would be some neighbors who would hate having a semi parked in their neighborhood .
Anything electrical can start a fire. As many electronics that vehicles have now, it couldve been anything.

Just buy a shell for the GoPro
I have a DGI phantom 4 pro an excellent condition if interested
What s hot logic?
It is low temp cooker. I have videos of our review of it on the channel.
Seriously cant believe a guy said that you were enjoying the fire. Like what are you going to do? Throw a glass of water on it?
Go Pro might trade you for a new model
Don't burn this one
Hot logic?????
