@@BrettVaughnB100 Brett, I know how time consuming editing is, plus adding that great music takes a ton of time. I just want you to know that some of us don’t just watch the content, we appreciate all the effort you put in to get it to the point of releasing it. Hard work and a job well done consistently!
Hello long time watcher first time subscriber 🇺🇸 my husband and I want to say thank you for sharing we love your videos and can’t wait for this trip your going on may the lord keep you safe !!! From Arizona close to the New Mexico 👍👍👍
The voice over narration and music are great. You are doing a great job on this one. I look forward to watching your journey on that trail. You got my interest. Remember if you find any gold out there, call me first.
Cant wait till the Butterfield Trail ride begins. There are many historical markers in Texas marking the Butterfield Stage trail from Ft Worth and San Antonio to El paso. I've stopped my travels and read several. Love southwest history l. Brett, your videos are much appreciated.
I'm leaving right now to go to one over by the TX NM border .. gotta tip on some cool stuff over there .. going to camp and ride Bonnie .. stay tuned I will video it .. Thanks
lol just have to get up there once and down once .. already got another ladder in .. going to earn how to do this one ... your video will be coming out next Sunday .. "Hidden Canyon on the Butter Field Trail" lol
Man oh man, from the UK gotta tell you this is my favourite channel of the many UA-cam channels I subscribe to. Totally love your content and it gets me through many an evening. Just also want to say really appreciate the music in this episode, "Ghosts of The Rail" by Gabriel Lewis. What a brilliant tune. Keep up the amazing content. Onward and upward!
Brett, you have kicked the videos up about 10 notches since you started this narrative journey 👍👍👍absolutely brilliant.. also as always a great video .. I enjoyed the camp and fire .. put a longing in my old bones .. Well , for now .. yea, you guessed it .. Onward and Upward is Still the Watchword ..
Met you today at Custom Cartridge. Your videos are great! I'm definitely a fan, and a subscriber. Anything we can do for you, you know where to find us. Safe travels!
Yes thanks for coming over to the channel .. I will be carrying the henry on most of my summer trips .. Thanks for helping out .. hopefully I will be purchasing some more
Pee bottle idea. I found the square shaped plastic coffee container with round lid works great for old fellas. Fill half with sawdust. Being square with a good flat base is a little safer in your shelter. Just saying. 😆

I tried coming through Doubtful Cyn. a few years ago, got directions from the owner of Steins who said it was accesable and headed N into the desert . I also tried coming in from the San Simon side and hit locked gates. There was a well known Apache fight in Doubtful Cyn.
Yes I know the rancher and was given the combo and a key .. sorry about that .. I kind of had a set back with the heat and some personal things going on Thanks
I think you found a new cameraman/dog😂. That would be a kool trip. I've camped in that area in 2021. I didn't know that they had pecan groves out there, till then.
I use to drive by all the time when I was working in Tucson .. remember seeing a whole troupe? of Coatimundis in one of those pecan fields one time .... yeah she liked that camera .. Thanks !
Yes wind blew hard here today ... thats what I got to watch out for .. would sure hate to be crossing that flat outside of Lordsburg with too much wind ... Thanks Chuck
thx for your video man you made make me home sick. I have been and shared so many of the places you show . you didnt show it in your video. but you was so close to a old rock cover grave from the stage days ii am sure
This is going to be an awesome adventure. Looking forward to the videos,...... and now that your dogs are helping with the production it will be even more interesting. Maybe strapping a Go-Pro to the back of one of the hounds would give a different point of view.
My bucket list trail trip is to start in St Louis and complete as much as possible of the Oregon trail in my Jeep. It's difficult to find good information. My wife/best friend just passed unexpectedly so that has changed my life path. I'm not sure if I'll ever get to it now. Still think it would be a great trip
Hey Brett! We're all getting purdy excited for this trip. Always enjoy "riding along" with you and your hounds. If you get the chance, what is that outro song? (From about the 19 minute mark through the end of the vid.) It's real nice. Thanks for all you do!!!
Well buddy, I know you and I have been visiting a little, but I spent 30 years in that country. I’m good friends with the rancher on the NM side. We need to get together in cruces. We ll be there the 12th. I don’t know how to share phone # s on this thing.
Did I hear ya say Jaguars in those Peloncillo's. Lol. So true. I'd like to know what you think about (re)introduction? Heck - guvment probably already did it...
Have you been to the north of the state of Nevada yet! I've been walking around haven't caught up to anything yet but they is in there!!! I keep thinking of better dogs would be cool!!😎🤠👍
I notice that in your travels you go thru a lot of desert and arid zones,, well I guess that's why the Spanish called it (Arid-zona ) or Arizona to you.
Old video I know but I don't think you've done the ride right? If you haven't, when you do please get a battery disconnect installed in a hard to see spot. Or a toggle switch that can disable fuel power. These day's between border traffic and hooligans here I'd be worried I wouldn't have a track to come back too. Maybe a locking pin for hitch receiver and tounge.
Your a man after my own soul about as close as I've ever seen. English pointer birddogs, good cowboys the heading trailing kind that could pick a cow trail up and go hold em until I get there on my horse, good plott dogs since maybe 14 yrs old. Got into plotts by accident. My dad dropped off a young bull he had bought into our broken down cow lot that bull quickly jumped the fence and there was a plott hound that had just turned up at our house and we put that hound on that bull while we quickly saddled our horses and that plott dog held that bull about a mile in a big swamp. My dad and I rode up and roped that bull and dragged that bull all the way back to the corral. From that point on I became a plott man and asap ordered a pup from Dale Brandenburger in Illinois. Now still have this line of plott dogs and I incorporated jadgterrier about 1997 for f1 cross now I have 5/8plott an 3/8 jadgterrier about 40-55 lb dogs that are like the energizer bunny they never run down.
@@BrettVaughnB100 yes they my experience they are very smart, fast and I see no nose differences from a full on hound other than more determination than most hounds. I really like them and they get very attached to the one that owns them other people they seem to ignore, but I live at the end of a goat trail so they mostly just know me and one other friend that drops by every few weeks. The plott side goes back to fairly cold nose dogs of the foundation breeding of Weems and brandenburger etc.
