WE'RE SO BACK EPITHET ERASERS
YESSSSSS!
FINALLY SOME FOOD
maybe we really are... The Epithet Erasers
We're erasing a Epithet with this one
Cool
i love that normal authors would come up with fancier names for the races like "aqua" or some fancy latin word that meant "wolf" or something but this book is just "nope. taiga country. ocean country. Australia."
I saw a screenshot of the work in progress TTRPG book for epithet, and it had some general overview and descriptions for each of the countries in the epithet world
The description for Australia was literally just the Wikipedia link to Australia
tbh, australia is basically just fancy latin for 'place in the south', so.
Canada also exists in the epithet erased universe
@@yoavpekelman7000 As the capital of australia
I love that CPS deemed Martin a good parent despite the fact Molly is malnourished and the pantry is mainly candy

Everyone should experience Prison of Plastic. It's one of my favorite books ever. From the sound effects to the voice acting to the writing It's all amazing. It has funny jokes like the show but also focuses on emotional moments too. It's an experience you don't want to miss out on!
real and based
I want to, but my ADHD is holding me prisoner in my own skull.

can confirm, Prison of Plastic is my favorite piece of media of all time.
@@luigiboi4244get the audiobook! As you can tell from this video, it's amazing!
No joke, I think this audiobook has changed my life. It really made me realize some things and improved my relationship with my brother, and I’m finally setting boundaries with my mother. This book can make you cry, laugh and all the in between. I really hope you get to experience it like I did.
Perfect summary of what it was trying to go for!
bro this was the first every book that made me cry
How does Jello write the most huggable characters is beyond me I wish to one day posses fragment of such power
Then he writes Martin, to balance it out
i do not understand how a mortal has the ability to write such funny and likable characters . not only that, but make EVERY character like that.
Well he gave one of them marshmallow bones! No clue about the rest.
: )
As someone who owns the audio book already, did I sit through and re listen to all this again because it was so good?
Yes.
lol I’ve relistened like 5 times
I have reread it 3 times, I have watched the series like 4 times :D
When Beartrap said “beach body” I was half expecting Giovanni to look at everyone and say “I don’t see enough abs or pecs to call it a beach body”
Any body can be a beach body, Gio (in both senses here)
I can hear her response being "Other type of beach body, Boss" and Gio just IMMEDIATELY understands "OH, dead body, got it."
Reading Lori's inner thoughts about Molly not being any fun, I could practically hear Molly screaming from the end of the book.
Hey! Very cool, the audio book is so worth your purchase! I hope more people get hooked like i did on it!
Oh ya. I listened to it several times

tbf, jello has stated that the audio book was the crown jewel of this sequel
Ditto. It’s well worth the purchase. A good idea to see the season 1 anime for extra context.
My husband and I are obsessed.
Re-listening to this made me realize this book had some great low-key foreshadowing. Molly being pissed about the dishes, Lorelai wanting to set up a cathartic scene where she slays the village-burning dragon. The writing has some hidden depths!
Giovanni espousing the art of cookie baking, too
I hope this convinces more people to buy it!
The Prison of Plastic audiobook was one of the best purchases of my life ngl, seriously recommended
Same.
ikr it destroyed other audiobooks for me. wdym just one person reads and they read normally. why do we not get sound effects

all of this made me realize that molly's epithet being used in this medium reminds me of the main character of detective pony's ability to distort reality around her with her dyslexia

When you think Martin can't get any worse... he enters the scene, limboing under the lowest bar set for him.
Man is literally the worst person in the entire book.
Put the bar on the floor, he'll cheerfully dig his way under it.
No spoilers, I haven't read the book. I thought the implication in the web series was that Molly had accidentally used her epithet to essentially lobotomize her dad, and that's why she and Lorelai still live with him and care for him. Was that already deconfirmed?

Got me to buy the audiobook and there was a large spike in reviews when it went up so I'd say it probably worked!
NO way! I could never find the audiobooks before, and missed the kickstarter. This show and fandom really helped me develop my love of storytelling, and I can't wait to read every single book!
I appreciate Jello so unbelievably much. The amount to care he puts into this project is insane. He wrote among us and Halloween scripts for fans to be dubbed. He made a really good book. And not to mention the blood, sweat, and tears put into season 1. He even crossed out Giovanni’s name and put Vincent’s
Prison of Plastic was the first book in a really long time to make me genuinely laugh and cry. Not at the same time, but within moments of the other. So excited for the next book, even if it doesn't get audio-booked like Prison of Plastic was.
Jello has already said he definitely plans to make the next books Audiobooks as well
That would be a pity. I would much rather prefer there not to be a physical book than to miss out on more audiobooks, it's the perfect medium for EE, with its great voice actors!

19:00 - "She didn't seem to buy it, which wasn't a huge surprise. Muggers don't usually buy things if they can steal them." This series' sense of humor, LOL. XD
I put off buying the book, because well... Written words don't have the same energy as the Epithet Erased series gave me. But when I heard Prologue A and B I paused this video, because I just couldn't stand not getting the full story. I missed this. I binge listened all the way to the end of Chapter 7 all in one sitting. And oof. Chapter 7 hits like a truck. I'll listen to the rest tomorrow, but just wanted to say thanks for the audio book and hope more for the series.
ooo so chapter 7 is where it picks up massively? That's actually a pretty good review, especially since this covers the first 6 chapters, as you effectively stated "oh yeah, you'll start back onto a BANGER of a chapter"
@@Manavine I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say Chapter 7 is definitely a spot that you start to see a dramatic pivot. It certainly sets the tone of the second half.
And having listened to the rest the next day... Well, it's actually been 9 days so I don't recall all the exact details. If I had to pick some favorite impactful moments of Prison of Plastic from the top of my head it'd probably be from Chapter 7, Chapter 12, and Chapter 13.
@@Manavine I want to clarify, this video does cover the first six chapters *BUT* it counts the prologues as chapters, and the book has four prologues. So the video ends at Chapter 2, as the book counts it, and you'd follow it up with Chapter 3. It's still a ways until Chapter 7.

I promise the audiobook on sound booth is the best version for this story. I got it when it first came out years ago. Definitely worth the kickstarter money it took to make.
Been recovering from laser eye surgery for the past few days, listened through the whole audio book

So I will admit, I'd listened to the preview awhile ago and wasn't convinced. This 2.5 hours was enough to convince me to go buy this, so awesome job JelloApocalypse. I know it probably took some bravery to put out quite an extended sample of you audiobook out, but I hope more people like me will buy it because of this. Not through the whole thing yet, but it's amazing so far. The little graphics were also quite a nice touch.
Update: Book is amazing! Buy it!
I adored the audio book, no regrets on it! A ton of effort went really making it feel like a whole cohesive show, with great sounds and music to go along with the comedy and drama. Rick's backstory was such a dramatic moment...
One thing though: Soundbooth theater's app is a little hairy, and trying to listen to the audio book has been a pain with an unstable internet connection. Wish I had bought a proper MP3 of the book instead.
Still, I'll be sure to buy the next one! I sincerely can't wait!
Such a fun excerpt, especially with the addition of the character art. Even though I know what happens next, it still leaves me with a sense of "incompleteness," so now I gotta open Soundbooth and replay the rest of the audiobook. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday.
I bought this book from sound booth basically as soon as it came out, my partner and I listen to it on both ways of a 6-hour drive and we absolutely love it. Amazing work to the whole team
I remember when I first watched this I had hated it, because of the way it was animated, but I slowly came to came it and found out that the story is absolutely amazing. I bought the audio book about 4 days ago, finished it today and am now waiting for the next one.

I really hope you guys get the opportunity to continue the amazing story of Epithet Erased in the future. ❤
You know, Jello, if I may call you that, the amount of effort and quality you have and continue to put into your stories is amazing. The pure love and passion you have for the craft is so very profound and I've been loving every second of it. The characters are lovable, the writing is immaculate, the powers are creative, the voice acting is of the highest quality, and I'm saying all of this without having even heard the full audiobook, (although I would like to when I accrue more funds). Keeping up with the series when it first released was one of the few highlights of my life during its runtime, and I enjoyed it so much that I would binge the show all over again each time a new episode came out. Despite how monotonous my life had been, and still is, you managed to bring joy into those moments, and I would like to thank you for that. I have always been writing and creating stories all my life, but none have ever seen the light of the world outside my own head, so waking up one day and seeing an original work uploaded to UA-cam, created by one of my favorite youtubers who has played some crucial parts in my life, really gave me hope in not only my own works but also reinvigorated my belief that one day modern entertainment may be rebirthed with the same passion you have for your own channel. The spark you have for your creations is even what has inspired me to proceed in creating my own makeshift audiobook and subsequently uploading it to UA-cam. All I've said may just sound like a bunch of glazing but truly, deep down, I thank you for the courage you have given me to try my own hand at putting something out there on the internet for others to maybe someday enjoy, and if not for others than for myself and the gratification that the things I have made may not be forced to end up in the trash somewhere someday.
Keep being amazing and please never stop creating. At least, for as long as you feel like it.
I don’t normally keep focused on audiobooks, so I slept on this because the book wasn’t available in my country, but now I’ve just gotta hear what happens next!!
Epithet erased caught my eye immediately, gonna buy the book some day when I have the money. I look forward to see Zora in future chapters, my absolute favorite beanpole of a woman.
Already bought this from Soundbooth Theater but it was a nice surprise to see it on UA-cam with some visuals! Ten out of ten for anyone looking for a recommendation, I enjoyed listening to this story during a long day in and out of the airport.
I initially backed the book at audiobook tier just so I could convince my friend who listens to audiobooks to enjoy EE with me in her own element, but I found I enjoyed the book even more audibly and it got me back into reading lol.
To those who are looking for a sign to buy the book or even the audiobook, this is your sign! Having read it three times over it's such a good read, and the audiobook makes it way better!
