These videos have been invaluable to me at such an opportune moment, I couldn't be more grateful for it (or maybe I could). This will be super HELPFUL moving forward in the upcoming months, thanks again Miles! The intro slaps, it is a great look into what a live action Miles Morales Spider-Man can be so all the more power to you for that!
Lol. I basically only ever did the sink step, not only using some hand soap and letting it air dry did the trick. A smelly Spider-Man is a stinky one after all
Thank you for making this video! I tried this last night and it worked! I made some alterations. First, I left my suits in the water for five minutes each instead of 15. I hung them to dry overnight and they were good as new this morning but smelled even better. I sought out this vid because two of my suits needed it badly.
Love your channel, bro!! Lots of great info all the time. Keep it up! Didn't know the best cleaning method (usually wearing RPC Studio undersuit as well). Thanks for sharing
I just need money man but this video did help a lot I remember I put mine in the dryer and it shrunk like 2 inches so thanks man this video will help in the future
Great video! It helps a lot, thanks! Do you know if the process is different with raised spider emblems and leather details? (FFH suit from printcostume)
I have a screen printed emblem on my TASM2 suit and I wash it the same way. With other materials I would look into it, but most are safe to wash this way.
@@anakinmonkey that’s great, thanks! The spider emblems on my suit are not screen printed but rather actual rubber parts glued onto the suit. I’m not sure how the glue holds up after being in contact with water but I hope I can assume it’s safe.
i would say hand washing is your safest bet for any suit. i wouldn’t ever say a machine is the way to go. I personally don’t own a suit with raised leather, but i do have a raised screen print on my TASM2 suit. i hand wash that one just the same
Thank you very uch for this vid. Do you have any advice how to wash (or get rid of the first smell after buying) the mask, when it is attached to the faceshell?
I think so, depends on the puff paint you use. Dont take my word for it though, Ive never puff painted a suit. Look into the paint used and how it behaves with water, and cleaning products.
Hey, I have a question: If I had to walk around in the costume (in comicons and in the city), which type of shoes would you recommend to me? I'm about to get my first suit from printcostume and I don't know what to choose
I want to get a miles suit, Do you think I should get it with or without soles? I already have the jordans, They aren’t the chicago ones but they are fairly similar. I watched your other tutorial and I’ll be ordering the Miles suit soon (Same one you cleaned in this one)
Would you recommend tossing it I. The dryer to try a shrink it or should I just see it at the seams? Mine is a little too big and I’m trying to find the best way to fix it up.
it should. but i don’t have a puff painted suit so don’t take my word as fact. Stick to cold water to not risk the puff paint coming off. and maybe don’t soak as long. Rinse w a softer hand too. Don’t be super rough
I'm curious, do you have a suit with kung-fu shoes as well? I'm curious if and how you actually go about to clean the shoes, as I recon they can get pretty stinky over time as well.
my TASM2 suit has kung fu shoes installed, and its the same process, just dunk them in and let em soak. If youre concerned about them, you can always pull the legs in side out and hand wash the inside shoe.
i dont have any puff painted suits, so unfortunately I dont know for sure. I would assume it works, but i would look into whatever paint or material was used for the puff paint and see if there are any restrictions with washing.
I'll comb through the comments later but I figure I'll ask. Are there any recommended detergents? And how do the soles do with water and drying in that area?
@@leonchueng3774 detergent is specifically designed for cloth and fabric to be worn. soap has other chemicals that might mess up clothing fabrics like this
after every heavy use. So a little bedroom photoshoot or tiktok video, I dont wash it, but after a convention or professional photoshoot out on location I wash it. Basicly anytime is stank
my miles suit stretches out in the waist area whenever I put my hands up or like wave them around which makes me look like a flying squirrel😭 Does anyone know how to fix that around the waist area? I rlly wanna fix it💀
It's all fun & games until you realize your suit has puff paint, in soles & soles on the bottom of the feet. How am I supposed to wash my suit given these details?
the soles just keep outside the bucket. Puff paint i’m not sure since none of my suits have that. find out if the paint brand reacts to water. I wouldn’t imagine they make a suit that can’t be washed. worst comes to worst.. look up somone who owns a puff painted suit and reach out :)

Thank you for this info
Thanks for the help! Just cleaned my suit!
Maaaaan this helps a lot. Appreciate it 🤟🏽💯
Any thoughts on suit washing with leather detailing/raised emblems? Is still a hand wash acceptable with that? Or should I consider something else?
i would say hand washing is your safest bet for any suit. i wouldn’t ever say a machine is the way to go. I personally don’t own a suit with raised leather, but i do have a raised screen print on my TASM2 suit. i hand wash that one just the same
@@anakinmonkey tysm as always!! Will be doing that :D
Would this still work for spandex? I imagine since it's thinner, that it would be more sensitive to washing.
ive never worked with spandex.. i would definitely look it up as i’d hate to give you the wrong info
Thanks for this bro!

I expected you to just say to put baby powder in it, lol.
baby powder in the suit. heavy on the joints.
Hey, I have a question: If I had to walk around in the costume (in comicons and in the city), which type of shoes would you recommend to me? I'm about to get my first suit from printcostume and I don't know what to choose
get the kung fu AND sole option. Its the best combo for a solid walking shoe.

spider-man doesn’t wear actual shoes except miles in ITSV and if it’s the new one then i recommend getting the soles
if youre wearing the Jays over the suit, get no soles so they fit. If youre not like this suit, get the soles and shoes
Is it safe to do this same process when you’ve attached soles at the bottom of your feet?
i did that with this suit. it has soles. i just left them hanging out of the bucket
do the print costume suit gloves have much grip?
nope 😆 no lyrca suits do
Thanks 🙏
this is great but what if my suit doesn't have foot pads?
you can still wash it the same way with or without the foot pads.
I have a mask with attached lenses how do I clean that? Is the process the same as the suit?

thank you so much

can you also clean a puff paint suit?? or does the water effect the suit
