Nikita Khrushchev I was there to it was my first time seeing Metallica they played amazing. I was on the field about 15 feet from the stage what spot of the speedway were you at?
I wanted to see them at the Iowa Speedway too but I had other plans I couldn't get out of... as PAINFUL as that is for me to say. I weeped. lol. But I have seen them two other times before, and some people would love to see them and never have, so I can't complain too much.
James appeared on the side of the stage way before they came on, I yelled "look! there's James" ppl started to cheer and he quickly left hahaha. thats the exact shirt he was wearing.
I'm glad the band is happy together but Robert still doesn't have any stage presence and can't replace Jason's powerful vocal backup on creeping death and whiplash.
Alexanco Granados who cares?! damn. if you have see and heard Jason perform and you honestly don't see and hear a big difference than your from another planet.
john The only difference I see is in back vocals other than that I don't care about it, just let it go Jason is long gone now Rob is the man. Ahh and much better musician that Jason IMO.
what did she do so wrong? she asked questions, he answered, she listened, she asked another question and so on. I think she did good. I would've just sat there staring at him like a little bitch staring at Justin Bieber
0:19 - They're like 17-18 years late for that. - I LOVE 'S&M', but they were at a peak as musicians. And in my opinion they had some missed opportunities in terms of using songs for that concert, which could've been enough for another entire concert, or like a one hour special or something. - But they should've done that in 2000 or 2001, because after their whole near-breakup they were never the same performers. They really haven't played well, especially since around 2010, and it would sound horrible, especially in front of a hundred professional musicians. - They were already not the best all the way through the original concert, just listen to how Lars already started rushing songs like 'Battery', and the orchestra was kinda lagging behind because Lars doesn't understand timing (ironically), which is something that's 10 times as bad today. Another entire concert is... only possible if they get back on their performance as individuals and also as a band after that. But also, another entire concert has already been a missed opportinity for years. - This is no disrespect, but as a long-time fan, but ALSO a musician who has a good ear for it, I have to be realistic about it. - I would LOVE another concert, but that should've already happened. - Fans think they can do anything, and yes, they can do anything they WANT, but that doesn't mean they SHOULD or that it would be GOOD. I've just been waiting for a band like Rammstein to do it with Hans Zimmer or something... Some other bands have done it, like Dimmu Borgir with an orchestra, but honestly it just didn't have the same "elevation" or quality to it. - And Michael Kamen was really the driving force of that piece. He got everyone on the same page and level and made a great piece of musical history, in my view.
Eh you guys are a little hard on her she did a good job. The $ talk was a little too much but that's ok . I actually liked her questions, they were different then oh who's your influence? How's the tour etc. So great job
Liked the interview, she did a good job also but she really wants to show James she's a fan and talks a bit too much about her own experiences...but it was ok! maybe the nerves or something..
"Hardwired" was a total European Thrash Metal ripoff. There are hordes of European bands who do entire full length releases like that one song. That said, obviously the woman doing this interview has no idea about the history of Thrash in Europe, especially Germany. Metallica has been ripping off European metal ever since they started, not just Euro Thrash. Lars has even admitted many times how much they were influenced by the NWOBHM. Do your research..
I know the girl needs to suck up to the interviewee but damn...cliff was the best bassist...jason was the best energy...rob is just a Phd bassist with no other effect. As far as hardwired...6/10 album...bare-boned fast riffs...nothing memorable...terrible solos too sheep just keep buying their stuff I haven't bought a met album since load (yes load is more technically melodic).
Good interview, Hetfield is the man!
Mr James is aging well, I like the clean look he's sporting, he just looks great
yea i could sit there and just chill with james for like a week straight. He's so relaxed now and friendly. :) \m/
It's more like a conversation rather than an interview.
Great interview.
Good interview............about her
James is such a nice guy
please teach that cameraman about lighting, angles and composition!
Yeah and downpicking too while we're at it.
That Iowa show was the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My first concert seeing my favorite band. Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold played awesome too!!!!!!!!!
Nikita Khrushchev I was there to it was my first time seeing Metallica they played amazing. I was on the field about 15 feet from the stage what spot of the speedway were you at?

Great interview. Came across this video after watching a band called Element covering Spit out the bone....holy crap they are 12 years old.
God Bless You James Hetfield!
Great chat, I enjoyed it.
It's almost as if James was asking the questions...Way to go girl, keep doing interviews :)
I've learned so much...about how the interviewer feels... My life is more enriched right now because of that...8-}
It's funny to watch this in 2020 after the release of S&M2!!
S&m was dope AF I'd love another. And I was at the Houston show, fuckin awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘
James is a monster on the stage, but he is so polite and very handsome man, real man, smart, powerful, “ my God”❤️❤️Greetings from Serbia!💪❤️
Serbia is awesome I lived there for some time
@@codyvandal2860 lucky you😉
The Het!
great job! Adam must be proud!
Robert's solo in Newton, Iowa the night Hetfield is talking about was fucking amazing.
not to be rude but the interviewer sure talks a lot about herself. Isnt the point of an interview to get the subject talking ?
Human Centipede Head Segment exactly
She's rude and is self absorbed nobody. We want to hear James.
Typical woman, has to make everything about herself.
Nice job, good interview. It's not easy..
I had the violin version of nothing else matters at my wedding too!!
My wife and I also walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Nothing Else Matters
Great interview
Theresa Rockface!! So lucky to get that interview!
My wife and I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Nothing Else Matters
Should've asked him when they're gonna play SOTB, live.
Good interview! with not the regular questions,,,,
poor James....
Why?
Because she keeps talking about herself.
She should ask him, when they will play Spit to the bone live????
It's called Spit Out The Bone*
Great interview, Theresa!
Wow. I had no idea that Kamen passed away. It's been 15 years. This makes me sad. S&M was one of his last orchestrations.
Enter Grandpa ❤️
my favorite band is Guns N' Roses but James is a VERY good guy
You know what would be awesome, if james hetfield grows out his hair again.
Andy YT same here. If Lars can still grow his hair and 53 so can James
It's not thick enough dude and he got a hair transplant years ago.
Not much of an interview, just silly fan type questions. She doesn't know when to shut up and listen.
"She doesn't know when to shut up and listen" Of course not she's a woman...
I'm glad the band is happy together but Robert still doesn't have any stage presence and can't replace Jason's powerful vocal backup on creeping death and whiplash.
I'm agree with you
john who the heck care about stage presence and vocals it's about technique and a bass guitar
+Alexanco Granados
and we don't care about Robert's skills , so what
what did she do so wrong? she asked questions, he answered, she listened, she asked another question and so on. I think she did good. I would've just sat there staring at him like a little bitch staring at Justin Bieber
SteelerBoy78
Yeah this interview has a good vibe. She was interested in talking to James so it felt genuine
Great interview, interesting topics! :)
Rob trujillo been in the band nearly 20 years and there's been 2 albums in that time 🤣
Why would you bring up st anger? Smh
-T-X-M- because it's one of their worst albums they've ever made and they even get embarrassed about it in one of their interviews.
and why does she keep saying like all the time.
She's a woman.
Limited vocabulary, not very articulate and probably insecure as well.
A ton of men say like as well.

This comment aged terribly

So great job
With some intervieweres one got to be patient.

damn the interview, Nice muffin tops!
Started out with Metallica. Now I'm on Job For a Cowboy.
skom rules
"I know Lars would say its not the easiest opening song"....lol...yeah, for Lars it isn't.
best interview so far super cycuszki ciuszki
