Nicola L Departing Sharpness

With the roar of her beating engine the coaster Nicola L departs Sharpness bound for Newport, South Wales. The Nicola L had arrived at Sharpness with a cargo of cement from Santander, Spain. Always an exciting moment to sea a large ship punching the incoming tide as they turn around the end of the pier to proceed down the River Severn and out to sea.

Great footage Chris. I have fond memories of the days in the 1970's when as a boy , I very much enjoyed watching the Coaster movements at Watchet. Memories!
