Wow, that actually seemed to work! Mind-boggling how massaging a muscle thats not in the forearm can help ease discomfort there. I realise there connected but still its surprising. Been struggling with pain in that region and had it misdiagnosed by a physio-therapist as golfers-elbow. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. I recently started having elbow pain. It started maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago. In retrospect, probably from intense sets of pull ups (pronated grip). It was hurting when I did dumbbell flyes, too. This procedure makes my arm feel WAY better already. I'll be doing dumbbell flyes later today, and I suspect this will make them go WAY better. Thanks so much!
Amazing! Just did too many pull-ups an hour ago and had nerve-wrecking pain there and I already feared I'd need some extra recovery time for that muscle and shift my workout schedule - and after your short self-treatment it is completely gone! Just a warm comfy feeling left where the pain used to be! Magic!
Ive had burning pain on my dorsal forearm. About an inch away from my lateral epicondyle. I couldnt figure out if its TE, radial tunnel syndrome or brachioradialis injury and just focused massaging the exact location of the pain. I never figured to massage above it where you show in your video. Just gave it a try and hoping it helps. Definitely makes a lot of sense, thank you!
Hey there, not sure if you remember me. I'm the one who said "lifting while jaming out to music is great for the soul", which you left a heart on. I also left other comments on your videos about distal biceps tendonitis, which you also sent me links to for references about that paticular issue. However, I'm starting to think I have a minor brachioradialis tear from my symptoms from how I'm able to pin point(literally) where I feel it with an unclicked pen(pushing with an unclicked pen on your muscles is amazing for locating an injury that's kind of hard to locate). In the beginning, even days after this accumulative injury happened(way too many heavy sets of reclined hammer cable curls over the past year), I would get shooting pains running through the forearm just sitting there. Those subsided two weeks after it happened. If you take the inside of your left elbow, go down towards your wrist 1/2 inch, and then to the left 1/2 inch, that's where I pin pointed my pain, (when the arm is over worked in a supinated position), which is slightly left to the actual tendon(when doing a hook test). Looking up anatomy photos and matching symptoms, these seems to be more of a brachioradialis tear rather than biceps tendonitis. Once and a while I can feel something small where the bicep muscle seperates from the arm(when you do a raised arm front bicep flex), which is the opposite side you showed in this video. It's been almost 3 months and it still flares up, although very minor because I haven't done back and bi's or chest and triceps workouts since may 5th, so I don't give it a chance to really hurt like it did back then. However, it's not going away completly, even when I do general lifting things in daily life endeavors that involves that arm, (or at my job cause I work on an ambulance) , im reminded it's still there. Given the location I described from the inner elbow, and all the symptoms I've experienced since the beginning, would you lean towards that this is a brachioradialis type injury? And if do so, how long do they take to go away? Thanks Doc for reading this...
Of course I can’t say for sure without examining the area, but from your description it definitely could be. Keep working some brachioradialis techniques. Sometimes these things can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks depending on severity. At some point, if it doesn’t resolved, I would visit someone for evaluation/diagnostic test. Good luck!
@@OcraMedHealth 4-12 weeks eh? (Possibly longer due to my job requiring lifting patients). August 5th will be the 3rd month mark. My left arm brachioradialis pair has been bothering me for a long time. It has been on and off. I first experienced it 3-4 years ago while doing weighted pull ups. Now it's not that bad, it never prevents me from doing regular workouts (even hammer curls or reverse grip curls), however, I have been doing some arm wrestling drills for past 6 months and it has started to bother me again. There's one particular rising exercise ( which is basically half way up hammer grip curl with help of a strap), and while going moderately heavy on it, a tinging pain starts to occur at the same point in the brachioradialis. But after giving it a bit rest and going barely moderately heavy on it keeps it good. I hope this technique helps to heal it and I can go a bit heavy on left arm too. Also, is there a possibility that this line of muscles is somehow connected to rear deltoids. Because once in a while when I have went heavy on this exercise, then I have experienced rear deltoid pain as well alongwith bracioradialis pain. If yes, will similar type of therapy work on it?
