My favourite is to build bee hive and use Titan aurum and Rafflesia to produce black honey that gives you around 3000 when sold. Unfortunately they grow only in autumn and winter respectively and you need to scavenge for them in forest and in forest only but 1000 per day (honey takes 3 days to be done) is quite nice and so much easier than trying to catch sharks. Also, quite good but not THAT crazy way is to make wine. I noticed that wine is very expensive in shops so it need to be expensive when you sell it, and that's true, even if you need 6 whole days! to create a bottle, so create A LOT of kegs and do A LOT of wine to show this b. Bree that she indeed will have competition. That way if you make 20 bottles of wine per day once per 6 days you will have 20000. Conclusion? Scavenge for Titan aurum and Rafflesia in forest AND during autumn farm especially grapes for wine to make wine whole year ;)

The loom works, later on you can get cotton seeds which can be fed into the loom to get cloth. Can confirm the tappers work at least once on all 3 basic tree types. You need to use tappers to get resin (needed to upgrade to gold watering can).

As said, tappers produce over several days, not always first placement (produces many times), and in Winter you can use cotton in the Loom. Another money making tip Id add is: once you have mason jars, kegs, etc. process crops and animal products in the ones you can. Artisan goods sell for a lot more than their required products do.
I found out I could put some outdoor beach decorations inside my house! It's really funny seeing a beach gazebo right in the middle of my living room 😁 I haven't tried other decors but the Javanese ones don't seem to have that bug.
Taps take 4 (maybe 5?) days to complete and reloading the game resets the timer. So if you want sap or resin, you need to play the four days straight no stopping.

Should I buy the improved fishing rod first before catching a shark? Or is it fine if I use the existing fishing rod?
you could try it with the regular rod but I think you would have a much easier time using the improved version :D
I was able to do it just fine with the starting fishing rod.
The improved rod barely makes a difference
u can use oil machine to made canola oil with canola flower
you can put canola in the oil machine and make canola oil and the tappers do work, i get maple syrup and resin

The tapper does work the first time you use it. I got one Maple Syrup the day after I tapped my tree. I didn't get anymore however.
