Really good to have a guy that knows well about the skyactive engine, keep it up, I will probably be buying the autoexe hose plus the k&n air filter for my 2.0 NA 6
@@supermazda3 I am in the UK so I also wonder if I have the carbon filter, will have to check 🤔 should I remove it? And if so does it affect emissions?
@@supermazda3 Checked yesterday, there is no carbon filter, just a normal plastic box. Maybe its only in later models? I have one of the first models, it was originally registered on January 2013. So I guess its just a matter of getting the Autoexe thing and the filter :) At this point you should try and get a partnership with Mikstore ahah
@fasolaru123 The secret is to own an econobox like this so you can eat like a king with the gas money you don't waste haha. I hardly go to the gym nowadays 😅
@@supermazda3 Haha, true... I have the 3rd Gen manual NA 2018. I only go to the gym this days because I like to drive this car. The best car I ever owned, very reliabel. It took me almost one year to pick a modern realiable fun car, Mazda did the trick for me. I respect your work! Stay healthy! Peace!💪🏻
Seems to me like you can get rid of that last obstruction to air flow by chamfering the throttle by opening until it is thin as a knife edge. Alternately, you can make a thin metal collar that fits between the hose & TB that would have a smooth transition inside it to eliminate the step.
It won't really matter much at this point, haha. I thought about making that thin knife edge, but I don't want it to cut into the silicone hose when the engine rocks.
I saw one of your other videos where you talk about the exe hose from Mikstore, and man it is a significant difference. I have the stock air filter so am guessing with the k& N filter it’ll be even better.
It was noticeable on both of my Skyactiv-G mazdas, I especially noticed it when using kickdown on the gas peddle. The air velocity is definitely higher
Is it really that different? I have been wanting to do it for a while but though it was more aesthetics than anything else, also which video are you referring too?
Great information video! You didn't specify exactly why you don't like the Takeda intake box, for the N/A I think you said? What's your thought on the Takeda box for the turbo ? I'm waiting on delivery of my '24 turbo and of all the intakes I think the Takeda seem the best IMO. As a shorter snorkel with a closed box (except the little hole on the side for more sound and airflow at low speed) should keep the IAT as low as possible. And with the Pro-5R filter for more airflow. Thinking of pairing it with the Corskport TIP too. Looks like it would need a coupler/adapter between both as the OD are different, need real measurements to confirm that.
It is very different for the turbo model. You don't need the resonator. Also, the MAF housing is uniform on the turbo model, but it is not on the NA model. They decided to be cheap. I will make a video about it in the future. The CS makes the silicone hose for the turbo model. I would honestly just use that portion & leave the rest of the box stock
For the lip, I had the injen sri, a smooth setup. The metal tube of the intake was connected with silicone hoses to the TB, and there were the lip on the other side, the intake cone. Now when you started this subject, I am more convinced about the injen sri I sold.
Just changed my Corksport SRI back to my stock airbox with k&n drop in and I can 100% say my engine runs better and makes more power. So funny we just talked about this today
Yes, something I've been saying for a while 😂 if my supercharger runs fine with the stock airbox, I don't see it being restrictive to NA. Some of my supercharged cars are running stock airbox with double the flow of some NA Skyactiv-Gs
Nice set up! I have a 17 mazda 6 and would love this supercharger kit but living in California with the smog nazis puts a stop to dreams of skyactiv power!!!!! I have done a few other mods, removed that charcoal filter and added the auto exe hose. I have a corksport catback exhaust kit for it and a set of bilsteins with lowering springs and a rear swaybar. I changed all 3 motor n trans mounts to the awr racing urethane mounts as well. Thanks for sharing your information!!!
I don't doubt it but its 100% not smog legal and once u tune ur ecu to match they pick it up and it won't pass smog. These folks either no someone who hooks them up with smogs or something under the table.
@@puddleduckist you can run the car on the stock tune for emissions & you can also make the car run like Naturally Aspirated with a zip tie on the Bypass
Appreciate you helping out the Mazda community, not a lot of vids on Gen4s 💯
I appreciate your comment 🤝🏾
Informative video as usual . Mazda 3 awd sport owner here I have the afe takeda intake w dry filter and really like it also have magnaflow axle back .
Takeda definitely isn't my favorite haha but I love magnaflow exhaust
Can you elaborate why you would not recommend afe/takeda intake ? Is it the maf housing size ?

@ContasYT I do not know your laws but it will not alter tailpipe emissions.
If you remove it your car will have better airflow
@@supermazda3 yeah MOT here just tests for tail pipe emissions nothing else :)

@supermazda3 From N/A 2.5L would you still recommend K&N over AFE filters?
AFE Dry Flow
@@supermazda3 thanks!
i bought a drop-in filter from China, but the size of it is abit smaller, is not 100% fit the size, will this loose filter cause anything bad?
Depends on how loose it is. Does the rudder still separate the upper & lower compartment.
@@supermazda3 it can still cover and separate the upper and lower compartment, i think is about 1cm smaller on the width
i just bought a 2021 mazda cx3 2.0 auto and would love a setup like urs but im in south africa , any advise ?
Start with a tune & decide later on if you actually need the supercharger
I have a N/A Mazda 3 with a takeda intake , I would love to get it tuned but I don't where to start. Any recommendations?
I can tune you. Email me at mazdasaucetuning@gmail.com
Hopefully, you do not have a 2023 or 2024 Mazda 3 because those new ECUs can not be tuned yet

Do any of you guys have a problem with AWD differential noise/ humming issue ?
No issues
Have you tried adding a boost controller to the supercharger or do you think it would be a good idea to expirement with it
No, the boost is already as high as it can go & it's just enough power
Shit, i removed the resonator 🙃
