For me with the most heart breaking thing as a child was when they played that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon special but it was played out like a TV show so I spent weeks trying to catch it on TV only to learn it was a one time thing not a series.

Agreed, there is a charm that is lost when only watching the highlights. This goes for most streams but this one in particular stands out in this respect. I think it's because Vinny has an almost palpable connection to the source material.
I had it worse when it came to shows. I had no cable, I got shows mostly on DVD. They had like only a teeny couple of episodes, like 4 or 6 ish. Even worse, the episodes may end up being separate parts of the same episode, making an already small collection of episodes feel even smaller.
